I went there with for a group celebration it has hit all the boxes for us food was delicious staff were excellent and so friendly and nothing was too much trouble I have been to other hotels and some were very good but Foyles hotel for me personally was the best I will be back

The Westport Singers had the very best Christmas night out. The food alone was worth the visit and Jason and staff were pretty amazing!

My girl n I booked in last night n had a meal in the restaurant witch was absolutely georgous n the treatment from both Stephen n Jason n all their staff was highly professional n most enjoyable n so comfortable n breakfast was so tasty, fresh n delicious, I would highly highly recommend a nite r 2, you will feel n be treated like royalty, now who doesn't want that, thank you so much guyz, Rónán n ethna.

First class management team and quality food on offer — very much enjoyed my stay.

A beautiful hotel with amazing staff! In the heart of town, free parking in the back. A wonderful accommodation with a very good restaurant. I can’t say enough about the staff — they go above and beyond to make you comfortable. And a bonus —

My favourite hotel in Clifden. Truly excellent service and wonderful staff too.

The only reason this hotel gets a star is because the food is very good. That is all that is positive about this hotel. I was to stay three nights but had to check out after one night. On arrival there was a stale smell in the foyer. Proceeding to my room upstairs there were about four different “pieces “of carpet on the floors with no sense of co ordination. Floors were creaky and moved underfoot. Stepping into the room was like being transported back to the 1800s. Bed was clean and spotless. But everything else about the room was unbelievable. The chairs were worn and dirty. The ancient wardrobe had some kind of dirty fabric tacked to the back and was actually falling away! There was no dressing table to use. It seemed whatever was to hand was just put in the room with no thought as to aesthetics. The bathroom was in a terrible state. The tiles badly placed and patched and dirty. In general the whole hotel was dull tired and in need of a complete overhaul. I went for a walk around the outside of the hotel and came across the backyard which is over the pub outdoor area and it was like a dumping ground. It bets me as to how Health and Safety has not shut this down. I cannot understand how there are comments of praise posted about this hotel. It leaves me not trusting any comments anywhere now. I have been in a third world country (in a hotel) and it was in a better condition for a poor country. I still cannot believe such a place exists in Ireland today.

Great location centre of clifden town beautiful food in the restaurant very friendly staff music in the bar most nights.

Best breakfast ever with buffet and menù a la carte with more then 6 staff people working. Irish Customers and Irish migrant offsprings. Old very old. Room 106 with beautiful bovinda. Comfy King size bed. Old bathroom tub. Inside there is a very good restaurant and a bar with live music. Do not change nothing please, Just keep up.

Just back from a wonderful weekend at this hotel. We go there every bank holiday in August and it just gets better and better. Fabulous staff, food, drink and music in one location.

What a piece of heaven in Clifden
From the time I booked and spoke with June who was so pleasant and helpful to all of the wonderful staff we have met I cannot praise them enough
I would highly recommend a visit as you’ll go a long way to meet more efficient and friendly group of people.
Stephen is so good at what he does it’s eady to see why all the staff are so happy at work

The room and service were wonderful. The provided breakfast was stellar and the attached restaurant was marvelous for dinner. There was good live music at the bar, and the price per night to stay was very reasonable.

Foyles Hotel has been one of the highlights to my trip to Clifden. Every person I've met, who works at this hotel is awesome. Everyone is so friendly, patient and helpful. I can not think of one reason, to stay anywhere else, when I return to Clifden. The food is incredible, in walking distance to so much. I do wish, that there was a box for 10 star's to the 10th power. I am already missing the wonderful folks that I've met and planning my return trip. Foyles will be my home away from home, so if your visiting Clifden, stay here, you should be happy you did.

I love this Hotel. Everyone is so very nice and helpful. The food is incredible and the customer service is second to none. I will come back here every chance I get. It is so comfortable, the feeling to me would be, like a home coming. I believe, I have not the best words at my command, to rate this hotel properly. But 5 stars just doesn't seem enough.!

We had such a lovely night last night in Foyle's hotel. Really lovely meal in the Marconi — the hotel restaurant — and great entertainment in Mularkey's bar after. The staff were so helpful and so friendly. Great fun. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Old fashion hotel. No lift. Food is delicious.

A fantastic family run hotel on the doorstep of Clifden. A warm greeting from the moment you walk in the door, the eclectic evening music drawing you into Mullarkeys Bar or the full Irish breakfast every morning showing off Irish hospitality at it's best. Take a seat in the cosy armchairs in the lobby and enjoy watching the day go by…

Quite nice going back again maby it will get 5 stars on my next visit.

Food us excellent and service beyond words.
However it's the charm that captures you and the welcome. My only place to stay.

We tried the restaurant called Marconi… The food is really good and the staff is nice! I reccomand it.

The restaurant is great: delicious and copious cuisine from fresh regional products (Connemara lamb, …).
Early Bird formula very interesting.

Excellent, tasty and one of the best restaurants I have been in in sometime. The smell in the reception area of the hotel is a little offputting when you first arrive, we booked our table early but when we returned the smell had abated, We believe the smell may have been due to Lilly's that were in a vase near the entrance? There were seven of us and we had five completely different meals all excellent, I had the pork belly which was tender and tasty others had duck, steak and two different types of fish no complaints. Service was quick and efficient. Starter main course and desert all gorgeous. €175 for the seven of us although some deserts were shared because we were just too full :-). 9 out of 10. Lost one point for un-defined smell in Hotel reception area. Book before you go if you have a big group. Two sittings 6 and 8 o'clock. Will definitely be going back.
