We had a good experience during the visit, and the staff were very polite and supportive.

The night reception was very rude and seemed to be upset with our presence. But the housekeeping staff were very polite. In front of the hotel door, when I saw my family after 4 years, the security guard in front of the hotel door was very rude to us because we were taking pictures outside the hotel and told us to delete the picture.
They are not yet ready to deal with tourists! 😳

Well-appointed hotel with good amenities with supportive staff, with a good breakfast buffet.
Great central location with many restaurants, malls and business close by within walking distance.

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. At checkout, I was suddenly told I needed to pay an additional $113 — not for any extra service I used, but because they made a mistake and forgot to charge it at check-in. Instead of owning the error and offering a proper resolution or at least an apology, they simply demanded payment as if it was my fault.
This kind of unprofessional handling of billing is unacceptable, especially when guests are preparing to leave and are put on the spot. It left a bad impression at the end of my stay and completely overshadowed any positives about the hotel. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this place to anyone who expects basic accountability and customer service.

Excellent Stay at La Roche Hotel, Erbil.
I had a very pleasant stay at La Roche Hotel. The location is excellent, conveniently situated near several markets and shopping malls, making it easy to access everything I needed.
The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with a lovely view of the backyard. The bathroom was also spotless and in great condition.
A special mention goes to the staff, who were always welcoming with genuine smiles, making the check-in and check-out process smooth and hassle-free.
The breakfast was enjoyable, offering a good variety of items to suit different tastes.
For the price, the hotel definitely offers great value for money. I also appreciated the free parking available on site.
Although I didn’t get the chance to use it, the gym’s availability is a nice bonus for guests looking to stay active during their visit.
Overall, I would highly recommend La Roche Hotel for anyone visiting Erbil.

The room are good, however for those who are fasting in Ramadan the obmnly option it to have the meal befor midnight.

The reception charged me extra money for the water. When I checked in the same receptionist told me that coffee and water are free and anything inside the mini bar is charged. When I got to my room there was coffee on the pantry and two water bottles in the mini fridge along with a few chocolate bars. Naturally I figured that this is the free water considering there was no other options for drinking water in the room so I used it. When I checked out the receptionist told me that I need to pay for water so I kindly asked about how yesterday he informed me that water was free and he agreed and contacted the manager (allegedly) after that he told that the water was mentioned in the menu so It's my fault for not checking (despite the fact that he told me water was free) so I asked the question if there are two kinds of water, why wasn't my room equipped with the free kind then? To that they didn't have an answer. They insisted on me paying despite it being the hotel's mistake. What bothered me the most was another guy standing next to the receptionist (I don't know his profession in the hotel) he started screaming and yelling at me and saying (pay and leave) which was extremely rude, disrespectful, and meets no customer service standards anywhere in the world. Please work on staff training as it is a crucial part of the business's success. Also, don't promise what you can't offer.

The hote was a disaster the room wasn't clean there's no cleaning and no room service.
We keep on telling them we wan't water and we need them to take out the trash but they didn't response and they don't give us a Receipt when we pay for the night so they deny it and they told us if we don't like the hotel we should go to another hotel!
They're so rude and they keep tell us that we didn't pay for the nights so we told them that they should turn on the camera and see the truth.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. 1. The toilet was broken 2. I sprained my foot accidentally during stay in this hotel. I couldn't walk on the first day, so I asked the hotel to please deliver food to my door. Only one time they will help me, Then hotel request me should to buy food from the hotel restaurant. 3. When I checked out, I needed a invoice as pdf, but I need only for room charge. Reception girl refused me she didn't want to do it. This girl said never to stay in this hotel. And never come back to la Roche 👍🏽 I didn't expect that La Roche would hire such a low person as reception work. When I said enough, she can’t stop……

We had a very pleasant experience at the La Roche lovely hotel, highly competetent team, all requests were dealt with swiftly and in excess of expectations.
We were welcomed by the best staff at the entrance.
The food is great and the staff in the buffet were very welcoming and warm.
An exquisite experience and I am definitely coming back.

Beware of the $ exchange rate against IQD. They placed a signage on the reception that $ exchange rate is 1, 500 IQD while it's around 1300 IQD by the central bank of IRAQ. However, we ended up having a difference of 70$ per room because we paid using a credit card. We requested them to adjust the invoice or to keep IQD currency only but they refused! It took us around 1 hour of arguing and explaining but they didn't support us on this. We told them we will leave you a bad review too but they didn't care. We were late to the airport too! However, it wasn't a pleasant stay at all, as the Hotel is old, atmosphere is depressing, amenities are old too. Our company was instructed not to use this hotel again.

This hotel located on Ankawa street, it has an amazing decoration, rooms and halls.

It was good, but suddenly someone tried to open the room while I'm sleeping, it was totally terrible and made me so angry.
