Uncomfortable. Very dirty. Can smell the cigarette from the room. Bed smell. The rooms aren't ready when I come here. Can't open the door. Cigarette everywhere. Dirty bed pillow even the blanket. Cigarette on the wc, there's no toilet so I can't pee or anything. The shower are broken.

I booked this place mainly because it was very affordable, looked decent enough in photos, and most importantly it was within walking distance from my drop-off point after taking a travel shuttle from Bandar Lampung. On paper, it made perfect sense.
But about 100 km before arriving in Palembang, I randomly checked the Google reviews… and that’s when things got interesting. I came across quite a number of negative reviews mentioning cigarette smells, dirty rooms, and even noise from nearby “adult” activities at night. Not exactly reassuring, but I decided to just go with it and see for myself.
When I arrived, the first impression was… okay. Nothing special, but not immediately terrible either. However, I was told that towels were unavailable at the time. I didn’t make a big deal out of it and just asked to be informed once they were ready (which, as it turned out, never happened during my stay—I ended up buying one myself nearby).
The room itself was indeed not the cleanest. Not as extreme as some photos in the reviews, but definitely below standard. There were sticky, gooey spots on the floor, and the room had a noticeable cigarette smell. It was still somewhat bearable, so I let it slide at first.
Then came the highlight: I found a contraception packaging box under the bed. That was the moment it really clicked for me that the cleaning might not be very thorough.
