The location is in city centre. The price is averagely reasonable with cozy room. Room design and furniture are quite modern even though at the same time they maintain their classic theme. If the price could be lower, it would be perfect.

Menginap di novotel bukanlah hal baru bagi saya. Namun jujur banyak hal yang membuat kaget saat menginap disini. 1. Kami menginap di lantai no smoking tapi banyak yang merokok persis di depan lift di lantai tempat kami menginap. 2. Bau apek langsung tercium nyata saat kami menapakkan kaki di lantai 8 3. Walau sudah ditutup dengan segala usaha, air di bathub terus merembes terbuang 4. Kamar tidak dibersihkan dengan vacuum cleaner, sampai akhirnya saya membuat permintaan tertulis meski demikian tempat ini masih lumayan lah untik ditinggali sementara di kota medan, karena: 1. Lokasi di pusat kota, jadi dekat kemana2, misal kw wajir untuk makan ikan atau pun ke pasar ikan untuk belanja 2. Breakfastnya variatif dari masakan lokal sampai western food ada, egg cornernya juga kerja dengan cepat 3. Bellboynya LUAR BIASA cekatan 4. Ada fasilitas antar jemput dari dan ke bandara.

It was a pleasant stay. Service was okay. Room is cozy and nice. Also had a really nice breakfast. The only thing that I disliked from my stay was the excessive smell of cigarette, even in the non-smoking rooms. Some people smoked in the indoor cafe. If you're fine with some mild smoke, then you're good to go!

For a 91rm a night online booking, it's a good 4 star hotel with great value.

Broken remote. Broken bed light. No towels at all on arrival. Too busy with 1 working elevator for soo many guests.

4-star hotel, rooms quite spacious. Dim light ambience, a bit smelly. Food served were so-so, the price was reasonably cheap though.

I usually stay at this hotel for "ceng beng", maybe there have been 4 years I use this hotel as a place of lodging, and is a good enough place to stay. But now many of the hotel facilities are not so good, such as elevators. In 2018 I stay at this hotel (peak season), elevator which serves (working elevator) only 2 of 3. The lift capacity of the elevator is also not that good anymore (the design load of the elevator is 1000 kg, but the lift is full with only 5 to 7 passengers) This hotel claim that it is a 4 star hotel. But with only 2 lift (with 1000 kg capacity each) that serve 11 story building, is it even a 4 star hotel? Some air consitioner (AC) is also not that cold anymore (like the past years). It is also my consideration not to stay at this hotel again — aside from the lift problem (although I have been staying for 4 years in this hotel for "ceng beng" event).

Still good for the old hotel. Good Wi-Fi and have a singer at the lobby.

I was going to give 3 stars but I saw cockroaches in the lobby and hotel restaurants several times. I don’t understand how this hotel has 4 stars. This hotel is ok for a night or two as long as you don’t eat in their restaurants. The lighting at the hotel is very dark. They should try to put more lights in to brighten it up. The only good thing going for this hotel is that most staff are helpful and friendly.

I love the quick and hospitality service when handling complaints. Not too bad for an old hotel but they need to improve their facility and food taste at restaurant. This hotel is generous enought to give us many vouchers to enjoy entertainment from pub and cafe which is located at the same building. Close to many public spots i. G Bolu Meranti, Merdeka Walk, Hati Kudus Yesus Catholic Church and Maimun Palace. They provide pick up service from or to Kualanamu Airport but reservation and confirmation is required at least one (1) day before.

Book my hotel room via agoda. My room was spacious, with complete facilities. Good Wi-Fi connection and varieties of local and international TV channels. But this hotel was not well maintained, the tap is leaked. Some was broken but the hotel staff was so efficient that they came and repaired instantly! Kudos! breakfast buffet was not so good…

Big spacious rooms. Bathtub n hot water okay. Need little fixing on cleaning.

This hotel is quite good, it's placed downtown, we can walk to some food court. The hotel has some facilities, such as restaurant. Bar, karaoke room, gym may be spa. Thats all I know.

I can't see how this is a 4 star hotel, the interior is really old, bland and sometimes even unclean. Furthermore the card keys are so temperamental, it's infuriating when your card key doesn't allow you to gain access to your own room and the lifts. I won't be staying here again.

Old but great hotel, comfortable, decent food, with reasonable price.

My stay was okay, it was on the expense of my office, so there's nothing to complain about. but management should consider renovations or revitalization.

The hotel room is quite big and located on the central of Medan city. But the atmosphere of the hotel is not comfortable for a family visitor. The lobby smells smokey, eventhough the No Smoking signs placed everywhere. The room also a bit stinky and the washing basin was stuck.

Location is good, the main shopping malls, Chinese Food Street, attractions, etc. Are within a radius of 2 km. The Chinese Food Street is just 5 minutes ' walk. The waiter is courteous and responsive. Medan will come here again next time.

Services is not very professional, they sweep the floor while you're eating there. What the. and some people just so rude. Typical medan? anyway. Its a pleasant stay even though the hotel is pretty old.

Good hotel with new management from Soechi International located in the middle of the city. Suitable for backpackers or any family on vacation.

I hate this hotel. Not a good hotel at all in terms of service. I accidently left my ipad at the hotel room on my last visit. I am already reaching to the airport on september 1, 2015 and it will take 2 hours journey to return. So I decided to email the hotel later when I am back in malaysia. I email the hotel and told them about my ipad and they replied that the ipad is under their custody. I then contacted them again to get me the details on how to arrange back my ipad. Unfortunately they said that they have given the key of the safebox to my driver which I dont own any driver there. I ask them again and there were no replies from them till now. Its has been a week and I emailed them for 3 times already but they just keep quiet and dont even reply my email. This hotel sucks. They stole my ipad! Was not a good place to stay!

What a joke this hotel is. Don't get fooled by the 4 stars, as soon as you take a close look, the "high" standing vanishes. Sure, the rooms are spacious, but you only get 2 outlets, and if you try to move furniture around in hope for an outlet near the beds, you'll only find dust that seems like it sat there for the last ten years. We also we to the restaurant, and that was even worse. They seem to have room for 50+ people, yet only have something like 4 menus, which are all different. When we ordered, of course they directly came back saying most of the things were "sold out". At one point, we had to manually go and take coke out of the fridge, after we went and asked the staff to bring it to us four times… The food we ordered didn't contain everything that was listed, and when we asked for a discount for this poor service they simply refused to do anything… Plus, the hotel is located right next to the train way, and it rings every 20min, aaaaand of course trains honk every time they cross (loud horns, I'll tell you that! ) So you've been warned… Don't go there, it's not worth the price and the service is just terrible.

Saya dan mama saya checked in tgl 5 juli 2015 dan check out tgl 6 juli 2015 FO team : good Restaurant Team : no smile no attitude (laughing n talking louder when there is a guests) not friendly, seated in restaurant area n using mobile in resto like there is someone or guests arround, hard to find the restaurant staff because always disappeared. Breakfast : I came at 06:45 to ghave brekafast still there are some food which not ready yet. The fish has different colors, the steam rice has a smell almost spoil, no one serve the coffee n tea. The man whose incharge as a greeter saeated in guest table with reading newspaper, but last night I talked already to DM incharge. I will never come back n never recommend this hotel to my family, friends etc Room (toilet dirty) I made 1 star above because only the goodness of FO Team n Concierge Team.

Asked for a blanket, they gave me a warm blanket instead — — freshly steamed! this old school hotel is a-okay.

Rooms are good. The beer with the cockroaches just was a bit unpleasant. Stay was nice. Service is good.
