— very kind accomodating staff. I just love them. Especially the receptionist named Ovi. She and other male receptionists are really the kind of people who’d make you wanna come back here over and over again. Very kind, friendly. Felt like a family.
— room was spacious. Very spacious.
— breakfast was included, but nothing special. Just your regular fried rice and fried noodle. Similar menu for 2 days when I stayed there.
— literally at the front of the Fort De Kock entrance. Like. This is probably the biggest advantage of the hotel. And it was very convenient.
— the view from the hotel — superb. You can see the sunrise from the hotel balcony. There’s a hangout spot of where you can watch the sunrise. Loved this! Chose this hotel specifically for this reason.
Cons.
— room was very, very old. Everything is really old, and felt like they could crumble at any time. Bathroom flush tank was leaking, shower water pressure was very, very slow. Like seriously, if they took a little effort to change/replace stuff like the water hose, faucet, leaking tanks, i’d rate it much much higher. The room was simply very old and not given attention I believe.
— safety — the window was also very old, so old that I cant close it. I cant close the window. Hence, there’s your room safety.
— seriously. They really should change/replace old and broken items in the room. If they do change those, especially the bathroom fixtures, i’d be happy to recommend the place.
