Since the moment we arrived here Andi made us feel so welcomed and his service to us through our holiday and romantic dinner was perfect. He’s a real good bloke. The staff here are so friendly and provide a fantastic service to you. The traditional lumbung hut we stayed in was amazing. The seahorse restaurant serves the most delicious food we have not been disappointed with anything we have had. The pool bar is awesome and sapwan was a great laugh with great service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants a nice relaxing time with the whole family or just the wife/fiancé/girlfriend. Outstanding experience will definitely come back.

I don’t think I could fault it whilst I’ve been here the staff have all been amazing and friendly. If anything it would be constructive criticism to help but it’s been a wonderful emerald welcome for me.

Don’t understand all the good reviews as we had a very disappointing experience.
When we got our room it was only half cleaned with a dirty stained mattress not made up at all. Furniture was dirty and dusty and partly broken. After complaining they gave us a different room. Still more dirty than clean (dust layer on edges, sink half cleaned, old stained curtains, bed sheets with burn marks) with a clocked sink and shower without hot water. Even after asking twice nothing was repaired or even looked at. Overall staff is semi friendly, sometimes smiles and nods but nothing happens. Overall manner could be much friendlier. The hotel needs a complete make over in my view including pool tiles etc. Also breakfast room is not very appealing with dirty slip covers etc Would never stay here again nor recommend this hotel to anyone.

Loved our stay at villa Ombak! Staff were lovely. We had checked out and left a bag of gifts in the closet by accident and the amazing staff found and ran it all the way to the boat pier to give it to us before we left! So lucky to have such Honest staff looking after us on our stay! 100% would recommend!

We have had an amazing stay in absolutely beautiful villas and such a relaxing atmosphere for the whole resort. Staff are amazing, food is delicious and the grounds are beautiful with amazing massages.

We had a terrific stay at Villa Ombak. Great facilities including a 24hr clinic and swimming pools with bars and table tennis. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and very spacious. Will definitely recommend anyone to stay here and will be staying there again in future. Thank you for the great memories!

Wow! What a fantastic hotel on a stunning island, so close to Bali. Our stay has been absolutely amazing! The staff are super freindly, helpful and attentive. The hotel is gorgeously positioned just a step from the beach. Everything the family needed for an island getaway! Terima kasih Hope to come again.

Beautiful pool to just hang out and relax. The staff are wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was really good too. Live music at the buffet every night. We had such a great stay, can’t wait to go back!

The place is nice and clean. Also the location is great! Two pools, beautiful gardens and friendly staff. The breakfast is good and enough choices. The coffee needs some improvement thou. The only BIG annoying thing is guest put their towel early in the morning on the pool beds and come back hours and hours later. They should put a sign only use the beds when at the pool area. Like this there are not enough beds for the guest. On the beach the same story. I saw so many guest looking for a available bed, there were many many beds occupied with no people using them. The Lumbung terrace accommodation need some maintenance. Paint wall falling off, fridge full of frozen ice, ac service (not cold — Freon-clean), bathroom bit smelly and dark, wardrobe almost falling a part, furniture bedroom worn out, doors and locks not properly working. We stayed in the lumbung terrace and deluxe room. The deluxe is wonderful, spacious, clean and big bathroom. The Wi-Fi is not consistent. Overall a lovely place which can be with some TLC fantastic. I would come back.

I never stayed in this hotel but I have stayed in the queue in front of this hotel for 10 hours waiting for the rescue boat after the earthquake. This hotel provided free buffet to people after the earthquake. I would say this level of hospitality deserves 5 stars. Thank you for the free meal, I really appreciate it.

Good location just minutes walk from the harbor, friendly professional staff, easy having meals coz surrounding some restaurants, huge variety at breakfast, spacey room.

It is the most beautiful hotel in all Fili, in the center, there are various types of rooms, all very nice, there are two pools, breakfast is good, there are both sweets and international eating, in the evening you can eat on the beach buffet, all very tasty things, especially the fish is the grilled meat cooked at the time. You can book the table and also there are always complexes that sound every night, all very good, the beach is nice but the lounge chairs and umbrellas are not many, wanting you can bring cocktails directly to the beach, the sea is full of white coral, this throughout the island, advice of shoes for the sea, trees, plants are very well cared for and beautiful, you can also find hammache in the garden, there is a bar inside the pools and a traditional one. They have a private docking to arrive with their boat taxis avoiding the unnecessary waits at the port, at their attract the waiting a huge heart that in the evening is illuminated. The island is very romantic everywhere hearts and swings in the sea, there are plenty of places to drink or eat on the beach, in the island you can ride in a buggy with horse, bike or walk, there are no cars or mopeds, there are several supermarkets but only in center, always there are several clubs for the evening even to dance,.

Very nice hotel at first, shady, well located and well equipped. However the team is unwelcoming and, to add to the problem for a hotel that wants to be luxurious, our room was very dirty on arrival. Smell of unbearable products, smell of toilet and tile dilency of the bathroom stained with grime. The sheets were also smelly. After 2 nights we were happy to leave!

Good place to relax. Price is affordable. Breakfast is included. Just right in front of the shore, and in front of the bay. Just don't get the premium type of room because you need to climb up the stairs to go to bed. The ground floor is an open door bed which they expect you yo sleep and relax there, lol.

Lovely setting just at the border of the busy restaurant street. They have a diving center attached to them which will take good care of you. The breakfast is typical Indo/Western. Staff is friendly and rooms are spacious. The amenities are great for relaxing and just overall enjoy your stay on this tropical island.

Absolutely amazing! My friend and I were backpacking through southeast Asia and decided to splurge and get a room here. It did not disappoint! The spa, the room the bathroom! The bathroom was bigger than some of the other hotels that we stayed in. The pools are absolutely amazing unbelievably beautiful views of the ocean the movie night on the beach was wonderful and it was so close to the bars to walk but not too close for it to be loud or disruptive. Most importantly it was their service. I actually came down with the flu a day after we had gotten there and the staff completely took care of me. Brought me soup water came to check on me it was mind-blowing and totally unexpected. Not only that but we missed the last Ferry back to the main island and they track down and paid for another boat for us. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone passing through Gili t.

FOOD POISONING! RESTAURANT TO AVOID!
— After ordering a pizza, I was sick throughout my stay (5 days).
"I fainted in the bathroom and didn't know how to get back to my room because of the narrow staircases. I waited (in pain) for my friend to find me so she could call the doctors who were in the clinic next to our hotel directly. They had to intervene quickly because I was in total dehydration and presented severe symptoms of HYPOVOLEMIC shock (fainting, vomiting, diarrhea, abnormally low temperatures, blue extremities, cramps and difficulty breathing due to lack of oxygen) caused by food POISONING.
— It took 5 infusions, extremely heavy drug treatment and hospitalization from our first night to get back on my feet (medical certificate in support).
— The hotel denies any responsibility! We had to insist on being changed from room (for serious medical reason supported by the clinic). According to them, my stomach was just "too sensitive. " I was not the only one who had symptoms of this type; Moreover, the waiter of the hotel restaurant next door informed us that a large number of guests of Vila Ombak came to eat in his restaurant.
I can't describe our DECEPTION and ANGER as a result of this experience. The hotel will probably seek to defend itself by claiming that their food was not the cause of my state of health but their bad faith is only equal to the lack of hygiene and quality of their food.

Well, we've had a grim experience today. We are celebrating our honeymoon, we have been in Vila Ombak since yesterday in room 6191 and today we decided to make a reservation for dinner at the sand tables at 8, we made the reservation a gentleman with the white shirt, I guess he'll be the manager and all right. At 7:00.50 we introduced myself and my wife for dinner and our surprise is that the tables are disassembled and no chairs and the place is with the lights off. The gentleman in the white shirt wrote us our names, room number and set the time of the reservation, leaving it noted above the table that I chose. All a real tease, the reservations in this establishment are passed through the eggs.

An amazing place to stay, the hidden swimming pool is a must, you can relax in the warm water with a cocktail and the breakfast (open buffet) is delicious. The staff is really kind and location convenient. Loved it! Worth the price.

Honestly the worst food I've had thus far on my 14 day (day 10) trip to Indonesia. Ended up wondering down this way tonight looking for something good and this was the last place on the strip. Decided to stop and grab the crispy lemon chicken sandwich (they offer only western dishes). Boy was that a mistake. Super dry and the smallest piece of chicken ever. On the upside staff was very friendly but I came to eat not socialize. Also I never write reviews so you can be damn sure the food was terrible. Don't come to eat, drink only.

Decent place, prices are above average, bungalows are great-so there is a possibility to stick to the couch! Take what is simpler, great and investigate the island of Travangan!

Clean and comfy room, but I think I need more electric socket to recharge my gadgets. Nice and helpful hotel's staff. You guys can lend a bike in the hotel to go around gili trawangan.

The location of the hotel is OK since it is at the end of the very lively bars, which allows to be back from the noise in the evening, the breakfast is also excellent with a lot of choice. The staff is friendly and helpful.
However, I'm glad I had a discount on the price of the room because otherwise it would not have earned the fare. The bedding and pillows are not very good, the air-con only worked half in my room and the bike rentals cost 3 times more than on the street.

Matches expectations. Just cleared out of the most chaotic area. Beautiful beach equipped. Staff Diving center inside pretty much.

Lovely place. The staff are amazing. From the front of house to the support crew the team at Vila Ombak know true hospitality. Thank you all (Tata in particular was incredible). The facilities nice but the rooms could upgrade, clean & well maintained but not high luxury like it once was. Great value for money though.

Very tasty cocktails and extremely friendly service. The ambiance was nice, somewhat secluded from the hustle and bustle of the overcrowded harbour.

Had a birthday dinner at the Seahorse Restaurant and staff and service was excellent especially Tata! The band was fantastic and sang happy birthday to my partner, which made it very memorable. Highly recommended!

Close to the beach… approx. 500 m from the harbour… nice staff… breakfast very nice and clean… but a huge cockroach as well as several geckos in the bathroom… (Windows in the bathroom were without glass or fly grate or other… so all the animals could get in and out) … always close the bathroom door! … when we received a call from the reception, we were sent directly to someone who took care of it…

No wonder it is rated a world-class hotel and resort. Great service, nice location and very friendly staff. It is very nice to spend honeymoon in this place.

Magical Island 30 years ago, which was an incredibly beautiful beach, pure water, fish as in an aquarium and 3 fishermen's huts that welcomed a few backpackers lost to live better. The fishermen were expropriated manu militari by a hundred armed soldiers one fine morning, the huts burned before our eyes. The children were crying. All this to make clear the concrete that covers the island now. It seems that corruption made the governor of the time very rich and of course the generals who reigned by terror…

Place is amazing, nice hotel with interesting bathroom concept (wink wink). Staff are polite and friendly. The only thing I didn't really like was the breakfast, the food was meh.

It was definitely the best hotel I was staying in in Bali.
Located in a quiet area and away from noise.
It has views and good pools to relax in.
The rooms were spacious and the bed was very clean.
No bugs.

Writing this as I never really tend to leave reviews, however… I looked hard and long for a review of the ombak spa, as we were staying there and I wanted to know if it was any good. We ended up taking a gamble after not being able to find any reviews, and it was brilliant! They saw us both at the same time for a 60 min massage that was just over an hour by the time we finished. It was clean and peaceful, and the staff were brilliant — a great, strong Balinese massage! The rest of the hotel is a bit bonkers, but the massage was great.

Stayed for 1 night in room 1092 with twin beds. The room was good, although the bathroom was lacking of good lighting for putting on make up. The view from the front pool was great as it was facing the beach on the east side of the island, perfect for sunrise. The food was nice, the price includes breakfast so it was a good deal. The staff were helpful.

The facility is very well maintained. The bungalows are neatly furnished. Föhn is missing, unfortunately! With backpackers, that should be already in it for long-haired.
Prices are OK and the staff very friendly. Quite recommended.

One of the most beautiful facilities on the island. Central location But in a quiet setting. Staff friendly and prepared.

We stayed at this hotel for four days. When we came to leave we paid 950k RP to get their private boat and taxi to the airport. Having checked our tickets three times (when asked by ourselves, as we wanted to make sure there was no confusion from language barriers), they took us to the wrong island — Lombok not Bali — and wrong airport. As a result we had to spend £1000 to get flights home and an additional 12 hours in the air. When I called upset from the wrong airport to ask for help, there was no apology, they told me they'd call me back. I'm still waiting on that call. DO NOT book this hotel. Luxury is not the word I would associate with the brand. They have ruined what would have been a holiday of a lifetime and I am disgusted.

Place to avoid absolutely … Apart from my pool and gardens which are beautiful … Do not look at the rooms … Very dated … Even the most recent ones are cracked, no complete housekeeping. The reception they are quickly overwhelmed and does not jostle to answer you or give you the key to your room … We waited more than 4 H to have ours and telling us still not ready … So we had to get angry a little before we were given the key while the room was ready … Honestly go somewhere else … They do not want people who speak French … The figures ois … Australians and others are more interesting … To a good listener …

We stayed for 4 nights in September at this hotel.
The hotel is a bit dated. Our room was fine. Cracks in the wall, black joints. Everything is a little worn out.
Sea section not accessible due to coral. We're always somewhere else.
The cleanliness could have been better.
The breakfast was always the same and was unfortunately the worst compared to the other 4 hotels we were in. Also the staff were friendlier in every other hotel.
Positive: In the evening the bed was put down again and 2 bottles of water were placed on the bedside cupboard.
The location is very good.
We would not go back to this hotel for the price (€70 per night).

Right in the middle of the more popular east coast of Gili T. Pool overlooking the beach front is great but can be busy, luckily they're is a second "secret pool bar" back from the busy road. Movies on the beach each night were a real highlight and Vila Ombak is surrounded by lovely restaurants.

I think it's the best hotel in the Gilis, with two pools and private beach. The breakfast is great and the rooms are very nice and well taken care of.

We stay 3 days with 2 rooms. Good place for me and my friends. Nice pool, nice view for the sunrise.

Our Agent "Cinta Holiday" chose the hotel for us. We are so greatful that they made this decision for us. The Deluxe Family Bungalow was perfect for us. The room is huge with open bathroom, the location is so near to the pools. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. Overall we had a 5 pleasant days in Villa Ombak. We definitely will be back in future. Don't forget to try the signature "Gili Good Day" cocktail so great to company your pool time.

Very quaint Hotel and pretty much on the beach (at 5 m), surrounded by many trees and cared for in details.

The property looks good but inside the room there are cracks in the walls, only one electrical outlet, reluctant to give towels, Wi fi for nothing good. I add that it is expensive (but a little bit everything at Gili t it is). Breakfast OK.

Currently staying in an Akoya 2 bedroom pool villa. The private pool/patio space is amazing and a nice respite. There are tiny little ants that sometimes bother us on the patio, but otherwise very nice room. Hotel grounds are well kept and peaceful. Close to many shops and restaurants on the main street, but quiet at your room. Beautiful beach/water, which could be said of just about every place in Gili Trawangan. Food here is okay but not great, and sometimes a long wait for things like eggs or even the toast machine. Staff is friendly, but doesn't really do anything over the top to make you feel special as a guest. Overall, really nice stay so far!

We stayed for four nights in one of the hotel's villas. It's comfortable even if I find the value for money a bit pricey. They are ageing and the details are unclear (cleanliness, mould, bed base).
The bikes provided are totally obsolete (rusty and deflated tires).
The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Location of this hotel is really good. It's situated​ near the beach, near most restaurants and​ shops. Night life of the island is not disturbing your stay. Rooms are pretty big. Bathrooms are very big. Both has some problems with cleaning. There is a problem with water pressure on rush hours (morning and evening). Hotel has a beach but you cannot swim there since boats​ are parking there. Breakfast in hotel restaurant are good with much variety.

Vila Ombok is a paradise in the heart of "Gili Party" (so the people of Lombok call Gili Trawangan), the hotel is in a beautiful natural setting with many of the qualities of a 4 star European. Fussy eaters who claim aseptic places don't go to the tropics.

A very nice and quite high class among all the resorts in Trawangan. Just that our bathrooms quite dangerous because the neighbour can see get our bathroom. Btw… the bathroom is private outdoor type. Special experience!

Pros Big rooms, AC worked wonders. The Friendly staff and the Happy Hour in the Hidden Pool. Cons Shower towels are very old and stiff. Pool towels are so much better! The Internet is sketchy. The in Hotel Spa servide was HORRIBLE, we basically paid for someone to rub oil on the back for 90 mins, no massage experts at all!. Slow service in the hidden pool area for food. In the room, the shower was so Slippery I am amazed no one has died there yet. Due to renovation, there was only one pool available, the Hidden Pool, which was ok in size, but it was kept SO HOT that it was like a soup.

Nice hotel in a good location with restaurants and bars a short walk or donkey cart down the road. Wi-Fi completely sucks and can get quite frustrating especially if you need work done. Room service takes ages as well. Outdoor cinema is cool and staff are friendly. Beautiful rooms I will say that.

Comfy big rooms but the live music can be extremely loud and unpleasant around dinner times. And this spills next to their outdoor cinema on the beach. Friendly staff.

Very average. For a little more expensive and a little less near the beach, we much preferred the hotel VILLA NERO.

They gave us the supesta superior room in the area known as "the luxe", very wide, but for 160€ valia night, we expected something better… The facilities are old and lack of maintenance. The breakfast buffet is very extensive I generous.

Very average. Pool was filthy, with green scum floating everywhere. Someone must of complained, as went for a swim one morning, and had my eyes seared by chlorine, blind for twi days and was seruously considering mefical evacuation. Gilli t was a wasted holiday.
