Riss Hotel Malioboro

The hotel is located about a 10-minute walk from the famous Malioboro Street. It actually lies exactly next to the railway of Tugu Station. However, you have to walk around Tugu Station if you want to ride a train, especially if you want to go to the airport using the train, since Tugu Station has a few dedicated entrances depending on your destination. But I must say that the sidewalk is not very pedestrian-friendly. It would be challenging to drag your suitcase all the way.
Anyway, the hotel is quite nice. The staff are nice and super helpful. The food is okay. I didn't have a mind-blowing experience, but the one thing that stood out was the super helpful staff.
Oh, another thing: the hotel does provide a free drive to Tugu Station.

Is soo close wothbthe train station and you might hear all the announcement. Overall happy to come back.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The room was comfortable and clean, although it was a bit on the smaller side. However, the location was fantastic — being right in the heart of Malioboro city center made it incredibly convenient to explore the surrounding area.
The service was exceptional — the staff were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. Their hospitality really made my stay stand out.
Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the city center. The great location and excellent service made my stay truly enjoyable, and I'd definitely stay here again.

Checked in was smooth and fast. The room was clean and comfortable. Old hotel but well maintained. The staffs were superb. Very nice hospitality. The location was perfect only 10 minutes walk from the train station and Malioboro street. Eventhough, we could hear the train voices inside the room but we still managed to sleep properly. Thank you for everything. Really appreciate the birthday cake too! It's yummy.

Staying at this hotel was a very pleasant and comfortable experience; the room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and well-equipped with a mini fridge, smart TV, and complimentary snacks provided inside. The pillows were incredibly soft. Its location is highly strategic—just a few steps from Tugu Station and close to many tourist spots and culinary centers. The service was also excellent, with friendly and warm staff who always greeted guests with a smile, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the stay.

This was my first time visiting this hotel.
Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff, most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of the hotel. Everything about the hotel was exception. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient.
Room itself was well equipped and comfortable.
I was pleased with my stay and kids love it too.

The hotel is superb, tue breakfast has many options and the staff is amazing (Ekie, Budi and the swimming teachers were the best! ).
Definitely my second home in Yogyakarta!
I'd love to see more vegetarian option in the menu, but that's just a little thing and didn't affect the whole experience!

The stay in the hotel was very pleasant. Also a nice bed to sleep in and a big room. The service of this hotel was very friendly.

Nice building.
Toilet are old fashion and small. Some mould in the shower box. Too expensive for the room quality. You can hear trains' horn and announcements in your room.
Not to close to malioboro, we need to past a dark smelly alley to go to malioboro.
We definitely will not come back again.

Stop by here for the buffet breakfast.
The menu is complete with salad, sushi, takoyaki, waffles, various porridges and traditional herbal drinks, soto, gudeg, and even Indomie.
The outdoor area is cool and comfortable.
The coffee latte is delicious.
The nasi kucing is delicious.
The fried snacks are delicious.
The service is good and friendly, five stars.

The front office service was so nice, special thanks to Zahra. Riss has a nice lobby, even just to sit. I love the ambience here, the yellow lighting make it comfiest. Hope I can come back soon here with my family. Thank you for the memories Riss.

It's the first time I came to this hotel for holiday with my wife. The hotel ambience was good with Javanese cultural view. Room was clean and comfort air conditioner. Good for security person in Sunday morning. I'm forget to see the name. But I respect a lot. Food taste are great. Recommended hotel for stay near Malioboro. Thank you team Riss Hotel. Awesome stay!
