I stayed two nights at the Sutan Raja. The room was acceptable. Reasonably large and sufficiently comfortable. The pool was impressive and completely empty of other people. A good breakfast, too. The gym was also ok, but closed early evening. Some parts of the hotel showed neglect. The carpet in our corridor was worn and patched. The washroom facilities by the pool were simply dirty and unkempt. The main reason for the low rating is the meal we ate on the first night in the restaurant. Sambar komplit: all meat and fish dry and overcooked. Salad basic lettuce leaves. Price? The most expensive and worst meal we had in Indonesia. On the second night we walked to the Laksana Soreang restaurant — that was amazingly good.
