Bentani Hotel & Residence in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

Where is Bentani Hotel & Residence located, and what is nearby?

The hotel is centrally and strategically located near Cirebon railway station, the traditional market, and the town square. Many popular culinary spots are within walking distance, including Empat Gentong Krucuk, Bubur Ayam Moh. Toha, Nasi Jamblang Mang Doel, and Pawon Solo Ny. Inge. Guests also appreciate the convenient location for purchasing local souvenirs, such as shrimp paste and crispy chicken skin crackers.

Does the hotel have parking facilities?

The hotel features its own on-site parking, which is complimentary and relatively spacious, including access to the backyard area. However, some guests noted that the parking area can feel narrow and that turning vehicles around during peak hours can be challenging. The hotel staff is always on hand to assist with parking.

How courteous is the staff, and how does the front desk operate?

The staff at Bentani Hotel & Residence has received high praise for their friendliness, professionalism, and responsiveness, including the security and housekeeping teams. The front desk operates efficiently even late at night, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. Guests specifically highlighted Front Office Manager Mr. Alfridon, as well as staff members Stella, Saddam, Ilham, and Edo, for their assistance with booking inquiries and extra bed arrangements.

What breakfast and dining options are available at the hotel?

The hotel offers a diverse buffet breakfast featuring a wide selection of dishes, ranging from traditional Indonesian specialties (nasi jamblang, empal gentong, soto, chicken porridge) to Western options. There are seven dining venues on-site offering various cuisines, including Japanese teppanyaki, Korean, Thai, and Western fare. Most guests praise the quality and flavor of the food, although one review noted that the dim sum was rather tough due to excess flour.

How reliable is the Wi-Fi at the hotel?

Feedback regarding the Wi-Fi is mixed. Some guests reported that the internet works well and is even fast enough for online gaming. However, a significant number of visitors noted extremely slow connection speeds—comparing it to 2G—which caused disruptions when streaming on in-room Smart TVs.

What is the condition of the rooms, and are the beds comfortable?

The rooms are described as clean, spacious, and well-maintained, despite the building's older, classic architectural style. Some rooms feature Smart TVs and bathtubs. However, there are some critiques: a few guests found the queen-size beds a bit small for taller individuals, and one guest reported an air conditioning leak, which was promptly resolved by maintenance. Minor issues with non-functional power outlets and in-room safes were also mentioned.

How effective is the air conditioning and ventilation system?

Overall, guests are pleased with the in-room air conditioning, noting comfortable and cool temperatures. Nevertheless, one guest mentioned an issue with the lobby temperature being uncomfortably warm, suggesting the AC unit in that area may have malfunctioned. An isolated incident involving an in-room AC leak was also reported and swiftly addressed by the staff.

What amenities and room features are provided?

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, an Android TV, a mini-fridge, an electric kettle with coffee and tea making facilities, a safe, and a wardrobe. Bathrooms frequently include a bathtub with hot and cold water, towels, and complimentary toiletries. Please note that hair dryers are not available in certain room categories, whereas apartment suites feature a full kitchenette with an electric stove, microwave, and double-door refrigerator.

What additional recreational facilities and services are available on-site?

Guests can enjoy a clean swimming pool, an old-school-style fitness center, and a tennis court. Spa services and massage treatments are also available. Complimentary railway station shuttle transfers are provided for guests. The restaurant offers high chairs, making the hotel well-suited for families.

Does the hotel provide any complimentary perks or special gestures for guests?

The hotel extends warm hospitality with welcome drinks upon arrival. Guests have also noted complimentary birthday cakes and simple room decorations provided to celebrate special occasions when arranged in advance with the staff.

Had a very good experience here. The staff were so warm and helpful (shoutout to Mas Steven & Mas Yohan from the front office). The room was very spacious, clean, and the price was worth every penny. The 24-hour hotel concept is great, the ambience is perfect, the location is right in the middle of town, the breakfast was so delicious, and last but not least, they have a proper tennis court!

My husband lived in Cirebon when he was in junior high school, so staying here brought back many memories for him. We stayed in a family room at an affordable price, but the room was spacious and in very good condition. The amenities were complete. I was amazed that this hotel is still in such good condition, even though it has been around for a long time. It is well maintained and has a charming atmosphere.
