Abang Hotel Ciwidey in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

Where is Abang Hotel Ciwidey located and what is nearby?

The hotel is strategically located on the road in Ciwidey, close to the square and various tourist attractions. This makes it easy for guests to find dining options. However, please note that the hotel is situated right by the road, so it is not completely quiet.

Does the hotel have parking?

Yes, the hotel has its own parking lot. Guests note that it is very large and spacious, so there are no issues with finding a parking space for a vehicle.

How polite is the staff and how does the front desk operate?

Opinions regarding the staff are mixed: many guests describe the employees and the owner as very friendly, polite, and prompt in resolving issues. At the same time, some visitors have complained about the rudeness of the owner and unfriendly service. An important detail is that the hotel gates close after 10:00 PM, which is not always mentioned upon check-in, and a staff member may not be present at the reception 24/7.

Is drinking water provided in the room?

Yes, the hotel provides drinking water. Water dispensers with hot and cold water are installed outside the room doors, and glasses are also provided in the rooms.

What is the condition of the rooms and furniture at Abang Hotel Ciwidey?

The rooms are described as very spacious, especially the family options, which can accommodate up to 15 people (provided additional mattresses on the floor are used). The interior is simple and homey, in a "vintage" style or reminiscent of a guest house room. Some guests note the cleanliness, while others complain about the wear and tear of the building, which looks neglected, and the smell of fresh paint in some rooms.

What is the situation regarding cleanliness in the rooms, and are there any insects?

The situation with cleanliness is inconsistent. Some guests find the rooms clean and comfortable. However, there are serious complaints regarding sanitation: several guests reported a large number of cockroaches in the rooms, forcing them to purchase insect repellent products themselves.

Do the heating system and water heaters in the bathrooms work?

The hotel is equipped with water heaters, but their operation is unstable. Many guests report that the shower water was cold, as the system was broken or malfunctioning during their stay. This causes significant discomfort, as it is very cold in Ciwidey due to the high altitude.

What amenities and electronics are available in the rooms?

Rooms are equipped with televisions, although guests have noted issues with the signal or channel programming. There are no air conditioners or fans, but due to the climate, the rooms are naturally cool enough. Towels and soap are also provided, though some guests have requested more clothes hangers in the rooms and bathrooms.

Is the hotel suitable for a family vacation with children?

The hotel is well-suited for large families thanks to its very spacious family rooms, which can accommodate several adults and children. Guests highlight the affordable prices and the convenience of accommodating large groups.
