Truly a very luxurious hotel. I recommend this hotel if you want to pamper yourself. I rented 2 rooms with different types, there were twin beds and single beds. Super luxurious facilities such as 1 regular pool and 1 hot spring pool, but the swimming pool is hidden hot water. So you have to ask the waiter, calm they are very polite and friendly. But I suggest not to swim too long, your chest can be overcrowded because of the pond in the pond lantau above. Inside the women's bathroom there are 2 small pools. 1 pool of really cold water and 1 really hot. Inside the bathroom there is also a sauna and there is also a private bathroom. There are also special rooms spread over several floors. You can also go to Grand Indonesia to shop, of course, can only walk. No less, the view from the top floor is interesting.

Hotel Indonesia ini berada di satu wilayah dengan Grand Indonesia Mall, bahkan di salah satu pintu nya bisa langsung nembus ke dalam East Side Grand Indonesia. Hotelnya mewah, jelas karena berada di jantung ibu kota, bintang 5. Saya berada disini untuk makan siang business di Signature Restaurant menggunakan promo Buy 1 Get 1 dari BCA Credit Card, harus Platinum Batik ya. Disini mostly yang enak adalah indonesian foodnya. Saladnya juga terbaik sih, kualitas yang mereka pakai tentunya nggak sembarangan, sayur2an nya fresh, salad dressing nya juga enak2. Oia jarang banget ada restoran yang berani menyediakan menu pork ke dalam buffet nya apalagi ini di bulan puasa. Di signature jg ada rib eye steak loh, kebab, sashimi salmon & tuna, dll. Dessertny juga banyak banget, ada kue2an, macaroon, croiisant, gelato, dll. Minumnya ada ice lemon tea, sweet tea, mineral water & infused water. Puas dehh.

I visited the signature restaurant for breakfasting event. The food was delicious and so many various kind of food. Service? No doubt! Very excellent! Worth the price.

Hotel Indonesia Kempinski is conveniently right in the center of town next to Grand Indonesia mall?. Actually you can walk there if you want. It's a grand old Dame of a hotel, but has been renovated so the 5 star status remains correct. Great views of hotel Indonesia traffic circle and the swimming pool has good views also, though the layout is somewhat winding and strange. Sunday brunch is excellent with a mix of eastern and western dishes including carved meats, fresh seafood and anti pasta.

A wonderful, centrally located deluxe hotel, right in the heart of Jakarta, and with a stunning massive mall connected to the hotel. Surrounded by fine restaurants, spas, and tourist attractions, this is the ultimate hotel to stay in in JKT. Rooms were stunning, bathroom has a wow factor, beds super comfy, breakfast was a culinary delight. Service and staff friendly, amazing. What a beautiful hotel.

The best place to stay around the area. A combination of hidden sanctuary and convenient access to shopping mall. The hotel was a historical building around the area, renovated recently while maintaining the historical side. A perfect location for luxury travel, businesses or personal.

Very good hotel in the heart of the city.

While I've not stayed here, I recently enjoyed the Sunday brunch, which was brilliant. A wide range of Western & Eastern foods: sashimi, chili crab, roast beef, oysters, and heaps more. The desert counter was a pleasant surprise. They went out of their way to craft treats that looked as wonderful as they tasted. The service was impeccable, and the kids have an area where they can go and play (and give the adults some post-meal peace)! While the brunch here is a bit pricier than others in Jakarta, it is still a lovely experience in and of itself. I will be coming again (hopefully soon)!

Definitely a five star hotel! I didn't stay there, I just had lunch with my family, and met my dad's friend who happened to be the chef de cuisine at the signature restaurant. The hotel has amazing lobby, kind staffs, outstanding food. The high quality matches the high price.

My wife and I love to come here for their best Japanese food at OKU. The hotel itself has good facilities and right in the central of Jakarta. Very convenient location with two huge malls nearby. I’d recommend this to everyone!

Good food, good service, affordable menus, and they meet all your requests. Pool area is small unfortunately and seems a bit old, and not too kid friendly.

Very nice hotel with a good story and heritage value, a good location, close to shopping malls and restaurants with lots of variety and entertainment. Breakfast so good with signature food from Indonesia especially The Famous Chicken porridge HI. The staff also very helpful and communicative and also handy when we need something. Keep the good work!

You can't afford more luxury.

Luxurious hotel. Yummy restaurant. Nice ambience. You can see the iconic statue and water fountain here. The hotel connected to shopping mall which allows tourist to find restaurant easily.

We went there for lunch at signature. They have many kind of foods, try to eat a little bit of everything. They all taste good. The waiter and waitress are very nice, they greet and welcome the guest. Overall it's a nice and unforgettable experience to visit Kempinski hotel.

Great place to stay, especially when you're staying for business reason. It's placed strategically at the centre of the busiest business area of Jakarta. It's also connected to Grand Indonesia, a very good shopping mall. Or if you're in the need of the more luxury kind of shopping, simply walk tens of metres across the hotel to Plaza Indonesia, where everything is sold at a ridiculously expensive price. But you can stay at Kempinski, so I bet you can afford shopping here. Back to the hotel, the service is excellent. Whenever you want the room to be cleaned, they will provide it. The room service is also exceptionally good. The food at the restaurant is varied and tasty. Actually this is the second best I've tasted (I still can't get over that one hotel at Senayan's delicious food, sorry). Just one thing though. The pool is a bit small. No worries though, for me it was just a minor dent compared to the positive experience I got. Well, the price was certainly worth it, I say.

The WORST Valet parking system EVER! My husband and I was attending a wedding at Bali Ballroom. I am 9 months pregnant, so we decided to Valet our car. When we were about to leave, I decided to wait inside while my husband get the car from the valet. I waited inside for about 30 minutes until my husband called me outside. My husband decided to get the car himself because the wait was too long. So, I thought I won’t be that long. I waited outside for another 30 minute-ish. Everyone around me who waited for their cars also got really frustrated and anxious. My husband and the car still did not show up until the valet guy came and he opened the car keys drawer only to find out that my car’s key was still inside that drawer! WHAT THE HECK! So, I waited for nothing.! So I asked the valet guy where should the car keys be. He could not give a definite answer. His answer was “some are here, some are down there” Seriously, Kempinski is a five star hotel. They should have a better system. I am sure this happens every time, but nobody has ever reported this!

A luxury yet comfortable experience. View of Jakarta city light and HI is mesmerizing. And service in kempinski is excellent.

Room are nice so modern. Very clean. I love their pillow!. With nice view of Bundaran HI. Breakfast was awesome!

The first 5 star hotel in Indonesia. Well refurbished but still got the 1960s style, i. E. Low ceilings, small guest rooms. But nicely located adjacent to Grand Indonesia, the largest shopping mall in Indonesia.

Beautiful rooms, excellent service. The pool area is very nice and the bar also has a lot of very nice mixed drinks. Food is also very good. Executive lounge has very nice drinks and small bites to eat.

Nice hotel with attentive staff. Paulaner is a great restaurant.

Wonderful luxury hotel located at the heart of Jakarta. The interior was posh and luxurious, with a touch of historic design. The breakfast was buffet with its signature chicken porridge. Room was spacious and cozy.

Probably the best and most modern hotel in this location. Some of the rooms are bit dark and dingy though — especially those facing backside towards Grand Indonesia mall.

The Hotel in the heart of Jakarta that offers the best view. I really love the breakfast because they have so many variety of foods and they also served their legendary Bubur Ayam Hotel Indonesia. The room is spacious and the bath room is huge. For sure I would love to take my family back there…

Always pass by whenever I take busway. From the outside I believe it's a great hotel.

Luxury hotel in central jakarta. Just stay few day catch up with my friend when come to Jakarta … the hotel have conected with grand indonesia mall, cool place…

Once I stepped down from the car, the bellboy and hotel staff friendly ushered us to the reception center and throughout the proceed, we are surrounded by these staff whom has taken care of all aspects during checking-in. The room is spacious and clean with great view of the city center. Simply makes you feel like you are home! The hotel itself is linked to a big shopping mall so you would not need to step out from the area for shopping or dining at all. One of the best hotels I have stayed so far.

Stayed there for 32 days in 1985 and had the time of my life. The rooms all had old world charm and were furnished huge baskets of tropical fruit. It is the first world class hotel in Jakarta and is steeped in Indonesian history. My review concerns mainly the ambiance of the hotel because I stayed there almost 30 years ago. If you want to feel like a King this is the place.

Heritage building. A dramatic symbol of free nation working together. This is Indonesia. Love for all hatred for none.

Good food and romantic atmosphere.

I was there last year (17th August 2013) for the preparation to attend the independence state ceremonial in Merdeka Palace. The hotel service was great and fantastic. The welcome drink was also refreshing me while my parents checked in. The hotel staffs were quiet friendly and professional. I really had a great time with Hotel Indonesia Kempinski with a luxurious experience last year.

Last time I checked in (14 July 2014), another guest suddenly entered my room (337). Omg. She had the same room number with me. How come 5 star hotel, legendary one, could have a mistake like this? It was never happened to me even with 3 star hotel. Lucky me, I was not having a bath time.

After hearing much raves about the Kempinski international buffet, we decided to give it a try. We had the dinner buffet. Atmosphere wise, it is very elegant. Food were displayed beautifully. Staffs were friendly and polite. Now the food. Selection is very very poor. Prior to arriving, I telephoned ahead and specifically asked if they serve beef steak as part of the American fare. They said yes. Upon arriving, the only meat besides chicken were lamb and duck. No signs of steak whatsoever. The desserts were pretty to look at but they taste blah. In the middle there is a beverage area with a few drinks which you can refill yourself, amongst others, tea, iced tea, sweet tea. Those were free. Behind that area, there were 2 attendants who can provide orange juice. But it's not included in the price. The price? Rp 308, 000 per person, including my son who just turned 12. For that price, Shang-Ri La is MUCH better. Triple the selection, triple the quality of the food. I'm quite disappointed with Kempinski after this.

This is a wonderful hotel in Jakarta. Very nice view from guest room, very good food, great experience to stay here.

Personally I think Kempinski has great restaurants and foods. Awesome suite room, just that the price is tad expensive. But it's okay I could get that covered.

My favorite places in Kempinsky are the Nirwana lounge and the paulaner braeuhaus. Great place to spend quality time with friends and colleagues.
