My room had such large dust balls behind bedside table. Phone was not worki ng. I went down and talked to reception 3 times to get it fixed. On the 5th floor house keeping was making so much noise I could not work. They also dont know even small bits of English. The roof was leaking all over the corridor and some rooms. Power wires exposed was there behind bed tables. Bathtub and walls were full of mold and bath tub had hair. Toilets were not cleaned properly. The building should be shut down and repaired. I got headaches due to dust and mold everywhere. Worst hotel I have seen. Only catering people are good.

Nice ambience, hospitality staff, simple hotel, easy access, every room fit for the events not to large but love the lighting look like classy newyork. Thankyou. Food average ok for me but overall Good.

Great food at the restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Large variety of buffet with good quality for every meal. Nice location with many necessary places around. Near Kemang, which is good for night stroll. Great service. I left my goods in the receptionist and it was still safely stored when I came 2 months later.

When I checked in, the receptionist did not explain about the facilities and benefits I received during my stay. The cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms was nice, only the bed sheets had small holes and the colors were rather dull, the towels were dull and smelled bad. I like the new concept of brightly colored cafe. When I eat at this place a lot of mosquitoes that bite my legs and also my friend. The waiter who keeps just saying that the mosquito is because there is a fan hole above, without doing anything to repel mosquitoes. I had to get out of here quickly because I could not stand the mosquito bites. I went down to the restaurant for breakfast around 6:10 am. The restaurant is still dark. I asked the receptionist who was on duty and took the initiative to call to the restaurant. He said "The restaurant should not be, just not ready anyway … " I am not comfortable with the answer, without any apology as a hotel should be. When I checked out, the receptionist just said "It's pack … " without giving any receipts and courtesy.

A good place to stay. Normally it has a variety of foods, but not in Ramadhan.

Old hotel but well maintained. Foods average. Comfy. Great location. Staffs so friendly.

Interiornya seperti hotel di film the shining-nya kubrick. Tapi aksesnya paling top. Mau ke terminal blok m, tinggal nyebrang aja. Dari dan ke bandara jadi lebih mudah, bisa naik damri dari terminal blok m.

Good hotel to stay for sightseeing Jakarta. A bit old but clean and cozy. For breakfast buffet (optional), you can choose from variey cuisine and I was surprised they served Sushi and udon noodle as well (I haven’t tried though). Also good access to blok M and central Jakarta.

Its position next to the shooping mall about 50 meter and about 50 meter to Blok M Bus station, you can easy to reach main bussiness office area or main jakarta foot ball stadium on sudirman road as they are still in the same line. BLOK m station is center local bus station in Jakarta, if you are getting lost then back to blok M station and anywhere of jakarta part is connecting with this station. For interior, this hotel room is still good but now consider as oldiest. I hope hotel prepare to renovated. Room was in cigarrette smell then I ask to move to other room due smoke smell was annoying. The toilet often being wet due flooding as got the problem on drainage system. Better owner to change to portable cubical bathroom. Have roof top pool, the pool is children friendly due the deep is only 1, 2 meter I hope they can make it 1, 5 meter to accomodate the oldiest. Have the washing room nest to the pool but its a bit dirty especially in the toilet of gym area.

I only had meeting there. Good place for meetings. The apple pie at lunch very pleasant for me.

Old hotel but clean. Have a good ballroom for event with professional banquet staff. The food is not as good as I expected. When we have event, they serve fried rice, chicken, squid, vegetables, rujak buah (the only tasty food I've tried).

Nice hotel. Located in a crowded area. Small rooms, but comfy enough to rest from the busy day.

The nearest hotel in Blok M entrance. Luxurious and spacious, with delicious food. Expensive but stand in a strategic location…

Good hotel with strategic location in south of Jakarta. Close with one of the famous shopping area in Jakarta Blok M.

Old & feel old hotel… The rooms & the bathroom should be better. Breakfast is okay but it comes with some weird restrictions, no shorts or slippers.

Even though the hotel is quite old, it still keep its antique yet luxurious-vintage ambiance. The service is very very good, all staff were so I organized an international event here and all participants and committee were satisfied. The foods, it's various and tasty. I'm dying of its soto lamongan, guys you should try it!

A good place if you're looking for simple hotel just to lay down and explore surrounding area. But if you're looking for something extravagant, this might not be up your ante.

The services are quite disappointed. The Wi-Fi in the bedroom was not working at all, the room is not so clean, and the most important is the unfriendly staffs. The good thing that I would like to highlighted is the location is easy to found and very close to the Blok M, shopping center and bus terminal. Beside that, I also love the foods, it is really suitable to my tastes.

Good hotel but the atmosphere its little bit too old and spooky for young couple like me… The room has all that vintage feeling from the old TV (some room still using tube TV with cable channel) and vintage bathroom. But the breakfast is one of the best I have ever had.

CRT TV in room… are they serious? At least they have quite reliable free Wi-Fi in all hotel area…

Have lots rooms for training, some of the hotel room is accessible for smoking. Food was good, always busy for business events.

Have non-smoking rooms, swimming pool, underground musholla, nice food and near bus station.

Impressive façade, quiet, spacious lobby, strategic location. Although an old hotel, the room is good and everything is functioning well. From an online hotel booking, Ambhara offers a price that is lower than many budget hotel, which is value for money. The room is spacious, comfortable and quiet. The toilet is clean and everything works properly. The Aircon is centralized, which sometimes becomes too cold. Wifi works well both in the lobby and in the room. The hotel has a large resto for its buffet and breakfast, a bar, and a café that looks shiny from the street, but most of the time quiet. The lobby is long, enough sofas and lounges for everyone. Check in and check out is done quickly, no hassles. Forget the patisserie. Ambhara is located in south Jakarta, across a busy commercial area comprises of shophouses and a huge trade mall, Blok M Square. Many Japanese resto, bar, pub and karaoke in the area. Blok M Square has Javanese style "angkringan" food center for local people, dining in "lesehan" style, which is sitting on a mat or low benches. A popular Filosofi Kopi coffee shop is inside the area. Near the hotel is Pasar Santa vintage market, Pasar Mayestik handcraft and textile market, Pasaraya shopping mall, Blok M Plaza, and high-end mall Gandaria City Mall. Senopati street and Gunawarman street are high end resto and beauty clinics, connected to Pacific Place Mall and the Indonesia Stock Exchange twin towers.

Visited here for Friday Pray (30/09/2016) and found the mushalla is nice. The speech (kutbah) was inspiring too. Thanks for the hotel management to find good imam for the speech.

Cocok buat tempat meeting, cukup nyebrang jalan utk shooping di pasaraya, Block M dan terminal DAMRI dari dan ke bandara. Tapi utk Menu makanan masih banyak pilihan yg standard aja rasanya dilidah.

The building looks old. Parking space is cramped. Main benefit is its location nearby bus station and big business district (Sudirman).

The hotel feels a little musty and could do with improvements all around but the convenience of the locality is something else altogether as it is just a stone's throw away from some nice malls.

Well located hotel to malls and offices. Clean room which is most important. Hotel a bit old, so maybe a refresh will do it good.

Kasurnya ambles, TV nya ga berwarna, pas hujan bilang mau minjem payung buat ambil tas di mobil pake ditanya kamar berapa, parkiran sempit banget jadi harus parkir di pinggir jalan. Klo mau nginep jgn kamar 2231, exhaust di kamar mandi juga ga berfungsi.

This hotel has a nice location (next to some great malls for shopping) and has kind and curteous staff. It is also very clean from what I could see. I enjoyed the restaurant food for both breakfast and dinner. My only observation is that the room interiors, while clean, were a bit dated. All in all, a comfortable place to stay in the Indonesian capital.

Great food, great staff, but the hotel is quite old. Need major renovation.

Food is nice, the location even better.

Place for get woman to be a company at night.
