No one told me that I must leave my room key to the receptionist to have my room cleaned in the morning! Ridiculous. And the reason for that is "because we don't wanna lose any more spare keys. " Dumbfounded. No choice, I had to play the game.
I have stayed for about two weeks to attend a class. The hotel is strategically located at the very edge of apparently a popular spot for local culinary. An Indomaret is just a few steps away, and a coin laundry (with an attendant and no coin involved) is just beside the building. Rp25k for a 7kg wash and dry is too generous, and it's done in less than two hours. It only opens until 7 PM, though.
I got ~Rp170k a night via RedDoorz App. Rate is so cheap the staff never bothers with ants surrounding the refreshment area. They keep coming as if they pay for the stay, too. The guests even throw their tea bags anywhere they see fit. I have seen a guy half-naked with beer belly brewing a coffee there. Quite a show for something I don't think I pay for.
I've tried three rooms and none is soundproof. It gets a bit noisy during prayer call. Expect some noise from the hallway, especially at night.
I don't regret staying here. Not at all. It's just enough, could be better, but I love it. Nothing else in the vicinity beats the hotel's rate. Just make sure you book few days ahead, otherwise they will charge you up to triple the normal rate!
