Bella Hotel Surabaya

The hotel provides parking for cars and motorcycles, which guests describe as reasonably spacious. Several visitors noted that the security personnel are very friendly and assist with finding a parking space upon arrival.

Opinions regarding the staff are mixed. Some guests praise the front desk team for their friendliness, efficiency, and assistance with early check-in. At the same time, others complain about rude behavior from security staff, citing instances of unprofessional communication and a harsh tone. There were also complaints regarding slow response times when requesting room cleaning, with promised completion times being repeatedly delayed.

Breakfast at the hotel generally receives negative reviews from guests. The selection of dishes is limited, with some instances offering only two types of snacks or overly salty fried noodles. Guests note that the food is not very tasty and that the seasonings and spices are poorly balanced. Breakfast may either be included in the room rate or provided for an additional fee.

Yes, reviews mention the possibility of early check-in. One guest noted that staff assisted them with checking in as early as 1:00 PM.

Rooms do not include kettles, coffee makers, or complimentary tea and coffee sets. Guests note that they must bring their own supplies to prepare hot beverages. Drinking water is provided, though some guests consider the quantity to be minimal.

The Wi-Fi connection is unstable, ranging from adequate to very slow, and requires a daily login. Mobile network reception in the rooms is poor, especially on the ground floor where the signal may be completely absent, making the internet the only available means of communication.

Many guests state that photos online and on booking platforms are heavily filtered and do not reflect reality. Guests report dim lighting, a musty odor, and worn furniture in the rooms. Reviews of beds and mattresses vary: while some find them comfortable and spacious, others have discovered dirty stains (brown, yellow, black) on the bed linen and even traces of blood on the bedspread.

There is essentially no view from the room windows, as they face directly onto a solid blank wall of the adjacent building. Despite having windows, there is no scenic view, contradicting some online photos that give the impression of balconies.

Cleanliness at the hotel is rated very poorly. Guests frequently complain about an abundance of pests, especially cockroaches in both guest rooms and bathrooms. Bathrooms are described as dirty, with buildup on the walls, clogged drains, and even traces of excrement. Corridors and elevators are also noted to be dirty. Some guests report that cleaning is superficial, with security guards occasionally handling housekeeping duties instead of professional cleaning staff.

The air conditioning system operates inconsistently. While some guests are pleased with how cold the rooms get, others experience units that fail to cool the space or leak, causing puddles in the room.

The hotel provides a basic set of amenities: soap, shampoo, and a toothbrush. However, guests complain that only one toothbrush is provided even when booking twin beds, and soap dispensers may run empty without timely replenishment.

The hotel features an elevator, but guests have reported issues with the keycard access system on upper floors. There are also complaints regarding the lack of staff assistance with luggage upon arrival, requiring guests to carry their belongings up themselves.

The hotel is not recommended for families with children. Guests complain about an unusual payment policy where school-aged children are charged an additional fee, while the accommodation conditions are not considered comfortable for children.
