Indah Damai Cottages

The bungalow was cute but very small. No furniture to put things on. The shower also waters the toilet but like everywhere in this country. The shower temperature was hot but impossible to regulate the temperature. The bungalows do not offer any view of the beautiful surrounding landscape. Good location for the Tumpak Sewu waterfall 10min drive.

We had a wonderful stay at Indah Damai Cottages. The family is sooo nice and welcoming, always willing to help. They showed us around, we played music together, etc. Cottages are well designed and comfortable. The view on Semeru is amazing. Thank you again for your hospitality, and all the best for the future,

Very nice place to stay, to be honest our favorite from East Java so far. Mahmut is really the best person you can meet and his family has the same vibe. Unfortunately we didn’t had such a good weather even we slept 4 nights here but they knew how to make us feel at home. The view to Semeru is amazing right from the front of the cabins. They offered us a lot of local fruits and snacks. The place is kinda remote but they still managed to find us a scooter to rent.
Even the neighbours are amazing.
It’s the best place you can book in this area, close to so many attractions.

Amazing view in the morning especially from 1st cottage.

Tiny house for couple or friends.
Large king size of a bed, because we forgot to book 2 beds, so ours was way to big for 2 of us.
BUT be aware of:
— don’t leave shoes outside it’s gonna be wet.
— yes they have mosques outside somewhere so you will here in early morning some sound, but it’s okay.
I have to say it was wonderful choice, very low price, but I think they will rise it soon. We were so happy to stay here, people took care of us and even help with morning drops on the bike when we went to the waterfall.

It was quite a new bungalows opened just 2 months ago. We're lucky to be able to stay the night there on our way to our west java trip on classic vespa ride. We arrived late night about 10 PM after a 2 hrs ride on bumpy and winding up and down the hill Piket Nol area which was basically still ongoing project. So we arrived exhausted and saw this cottages lights from the side of the road. We're so happy to see such a nice room with hot steamy water in the shower and flappy big bed even though the room was a quite small. The staff prepared fresh hot black coffee for us and take our order for b'fast next morning. It was the son and daughter of the owner who served us. They're wonderful and helpful, even in the morning they had someone to pick up a bagfull of fresh mangosteen from the tree right next to the dining bungalow for free…
We definitely recommend this place for anybody want to spend the night in this area.
