Oyo 1482 Brak Guest House

This is a great value for money stop if you want to explore Mount Bromo.
Best part is the host, who goes out of his way to help you in any way needed, from station pickups to arranging Mt. Bromo tours and local recommendations.
Rooms are small but clean.

I've just spent one night in Brak guest house but I'm immediately felt like home with a coffee or tea in house. Mr Budi was polite, kind and very helpful host. He helped me also in finding a honest scooter rental (Mr. Charles) and in organizing my trip to the waterfalls. He even woke up early in the morning for this. Room was very clean and unbeatable for this price. Really recommended.

Really nice place to stay! Budhi the owner is amazing: he picks you up from the station and brings you back, he is super friendly and offers his help and recommendations whenever you need. In the morning you can enjoy some tea with him or other guest in the common are (a really nice terrace). The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is perfect and the place lays in a backyard which makes it cozy. Thanks you Budhi — one of the best places we stayed so far in Indonesia!

Nice homestay for 2/3 nights. Calm. The host is welcoming, lovely and helpful! Outdoor kitchen and relax area. Terrace in front of the room. Clean room. Air conditioning, TV. Clean shower with hot water. Shower gel available. Sometimes smells come up from the drains. Good value for money.

Room is small but the bed is super comfortable. A fully equipped kitchen free to use is a big plus. We had our afternoon welcome coffee, morning jamu tea here. The key is the host Budy. He is open minded, English speaking. He offers me a free motorbike to train station in the morning. Highly recommended.

The owner really nice, the room clean, comfortable, nice, and the yard really nice beautiful really cool. Has kitchen, we can make tea or coffee even cook while sitting enjoying beautiful wheater. The place strategis there is market around the place, shops, restaurants, clinic and anything really nice.

Good value. Super friendly and helpful owner. Good food options around. Let me keep my bicycle in my room. Definitely recommend. Thank you!

Had a lovely stay in Brak Guest House. Budi was such a welcoming and approachable host who looked after all our needs. He collected us and dropped us back to the train station which was a great help to us.
Would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a place to stay in Probolinggo!

Comfortable, clean, AC cooled rooms which are surprisingly well sound insulated.
The owner Budi is an absolute star, we stayed for 1 night and in that time he picked us up from the train station, organised a sunrise tour to Mt. Bromo, helped us plan our route to Surabaya and dropped us off at the bus station.

Best place to stay in Probolinggo! The owner is super friendly and helpful and even drove us to the train on the day we left (also offered to pick us up when we arrived but we already had our own scooter then). Would definitely stay here again! Also close to many different restaurants. Rooms are spacious and with AC. Even provided soup and schampo!

Budi goes above and beyond — we stayed for two nights, but he treated us like old friends from the moment we arrived. He made our time in the area SO effortless, is fun to chat with (he speaks great English from his decades of cruise ship work) and is extremely trustworthy. The rooms are simple but totally adequate, and the price is unbeatable.

We stayed here one night before the tour to Bromo.
The homestay offered us the tour to Bromo 550k and Ijen 750k, but the Ijen was closed. Bromo tour is an amazing tour to enjoy sunrise and see the volcano.
The homestay is close to restaurants, super markets, and ATM.
The room is cheap, only 200k per night.
The owner is super nice and helpful. He even picked up guests for free from the train station.
I think one thing to improve is the smell of the bathroom.

The homestay was really great. The rooms and beds are very clean and comfortable. The owner is so friendly, generous and helpful. He helps you with everything you ask. He helped us with getting a scooter to go to mount bromo. He even picked us up and brought us back to the train station. He has such a kind heart, we will never forget that. He also asks if you want a coffee or tea everyday. His family has a warung for pecel which is open every morning and it tastes very good! Around the homestay are various food places, so it’s a nice area to stay at. We really recommend to stay here, we stayed for 4 nights total and had a lovely time.

If there is a 10-scale rating, I would rate this 10000/10 for the service.
Super friendly owner, clean and tidy room, reasonable price and perfect place for a quick stay before or after visit Bromo mount.
The owner said he was a waiter in a global-travelling cruise ship, so I think thats reason why he really knows how to serve customer and he is doing his best!

The owner is a lovely man, willing to help their guests. He offered to us free pick up to the train station, and gave us valuable tips about what to do near probolinggo, and free coffee and tea all the time. This was the best treatment we received in our 1 month travel trough indonesia, just amazing!

We stayed at this guest house after a hike to mount Bromo without making a reservation. The owner welcomed us with open arms and had our room ready within 10 min. The rooms themselves are quite minimal, but it was sufficient for getting some rest. It was also quite cheap, 180k a night.
The owner is amazing, made us feel very welcome. He also gave us a free ride to the station at midnight. Overall very good experience!

Basic rooms, but with super comfy beds and pillows (even have a pillow-roll to hug), AC and private bathroom. And super friendly owner and his family who offers free pickups at the train station and coffee/tea.
