Baobab Safari Resort

Dear Team at Baobab Safari Resort,
I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful hospitality my family and I experienced during our stay from the 25th January 2026 to the 27th January 2026. I would especially like to commend Mr. Indra, the Manager, for his outstanding support and exceptional service.
During our stay, my son was celebrating his 5th birthday, and one of the highlights he was most excited about was the carnivore feeding experience. Unfortunately, due to a miscommunication, we were sent to a zoo park instead by the reception team, even though we had already visited it on the first day of our stay. As I do not speak Bahasa well, I requested to speak with a manager at the information counter, and that was when Mr. Indra personally stepped in.
From that moment on, Mr. Indra handled the situation with remarkable professionalism, empathy, and care. He assured us that he would provide the best possible service recovery — and he truly delivered. He proactively led his team, ensured everything was arranged smoothly, and went above and beyond to turn what I feared would be a disappointing day into an incredibly happy and meaningful one.
What touched me most was that Mr. Indra did not just coordinate the experience; he actually stayed with us and even joined my family during the carnivore feeding.

The room is clean. The safari is very big, with various kind of activities from animal feeding, show, aqualand, water park etc. I thought the entrance fee will include all the buggy fees from station to station as the safari is very big and hilly, but the actual is, all of that need to pay.
Even to take photo with bird/elephant/penguin. Suggest to provide ‘full board safari’ fee, so we can go in with peace of mind. This is the main thing made me frustrated.

Second time to come here. My children love so much the place, animal interaction and landscape. Everything is set beautifully and perfectly. Both breakfast and dinner, have many dishes with good taste. But, of course, you need to plan your budget before decided to come here because everything is costly. Anw, good luck to Baobab Safari Resort, please take care perfectly to your animals, we love them so much.

Good for kids, we experienced everything. Breakfast was good. Kids enjoyed the scenery.
On the day we went for enchanting forest which is walking distance from the hotel and after that we enjoyed a movie night while having a free pizza compliment from the hotel.
Then the next day we blast with activities at Taman Safari Prigen.
Last day, we had a breakfast with giraffe, meerkat and rhino feeding and our kids had a cooking class at the hotel. All staff are friendly.

Road access to resort is easy. The road is good enough. Fit for 2 private car. 10-15 minutes from main road Surabaya-Malang. Just follow Google Maps you will be fine. Pay more attention if you are using automatic transmission vehicle, because sometime you will get steep uphill road. Main attraction here is mini zoo. You can take photos with: ponytail, snake, baby alligator, and giraffe. Each attraction has different price ticket. If you get even number room, you will get mini zoo view direct from your balcony. This resort offer buffet dinner.

Our stay at Baobab Safari Resort was truly unforgettable, it felt like living inside a real African safari but with 5-star comfort and warm Indonesian hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were amazed by the breathtaking view of Mount Arjuna and the wildlife roaming freely just outside our balcony giraffes, deers, and wildebeests right before our eyes!
The room was beautifully designed, clean, and spacious, with a perfect safari theme that made the experience even more immersive. The staff were incredibly friendly, always smiling, and ready to assist with anything we needed, you can really feel their sincerity and pride in what they do.
Breakfast was one of the highlights! Enjoying a delicious buffet while watching animals gather around the feeding area. What a view.
Overall, Baobab Safari Resort is more than just a hotel, it’s an experience that connects you with nature, animals, and tranquility. Highly recommended for anyone visiting East Java. Loveee it.

Kids were happy and excited during the stay. We got some carrots in the room to feed the animals. Rooms were clean enough. We also can moved to the rooms with garden view.
We didn’t know that we need to book ‘breakfast with giraffes’ in advance, like a week or even far before we arrive.
But we’re still lucky, we have a slot for ‘dinner with giraffes’. Definitely will back again and will book the breakfast far before we arrive.

How I love staying at baobab safari resort! I like the environment there, I also like the events especially breakfast with animals (giraffe). Totally was having a great stay, the staff were so nice to us. About the room, I was satisfied. The room was clean and huge, smells nice too even though the location was close to the zoo (which should be stinky but not at all to my surprise).

Overall are good, we have good experience with nature and animals here. But sadly they only has one elevator, took turns for families to go to their room and quite take time only go to our room. Food taste at the breakfast buffet considered average, cleanliness good.

The room was cean, the bed was comfy. And when we can see the animal from our balcony. My kids were so excited feeding giraffe, rhino, and many others.
The staff very helpful and friendly.
Oh and the coffee is really good. I have a cappucino and my husband have an americano.
Although the food still can be better.

The hotel rooms are nice and clean, not too big (deluxe room), there are a lot of animals to look at like a hippo, a rhinoceros, antelopes, etc. Food is okay, nothing too special. The safari park itself is very very good, we got to see a bunch of animals up close. There is also a petting zoo, which is suitable for kids and even toddlers. The circus was fun and very entertaining, especially at the 17.30 show. Overall it was a fun day.

This is a recommended hotel if you are going to spend your time in the safari and some spots near it, such as a circus, ATV ride, enchanting forest and Australiana zone. Good experience for the kids to see animals and nature. Visitor can take a morning walk and join animals feeding after.

Wonderful experience and stay with family. Rooms are clean and adequate, appropriate for 4 star rating. Staff is professional and attentive and accommodates to our every need. There are a lot of activities in and around the area so there should be no worry of boredom. Food is acceptable and quite tasty, oddly the inroom dining is better than the buffet at the lobby restaurant. Since there are animal enclosures in the hotel, do expect insects and flies and prepare accordingly.

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Friendliest and most helpful staff. Breakfast with the giraffes was amazing. Relaxing by the pool overlooking the animals was next level. If you're an animal lover, you can't miss this place!

We had a pleasant stay at Baobab. The check in was smooth and the staffs were very friendly. We booked 2 rooms and got side by side rooms. As soon as we entered the resort, we saw the giraffes from the lobby. My kid wanted to go swimming as soon as we settled in our room. The small swimming pools are adjacent to the giraffes enclosure so we can adore the majestic animal up close. We paid extra to feed the giraffes in the evening and it was a memorable moment for us.
Our rooms were clean and in good size. The bathroom was clean too. When we got back from swimming, we found a little gecko in our room, so I called the staffs and they immediately sent someone to capture it. We ordered dinner from the restaurant and had it to go as the restaurant was full & short staffed. The fried rice & fried noodle were decent. The only disappointing thing was the breakfast. They provides a lot of varieties but the taste was kinda meh. We highly recommend our friend and family to stay there for the experience.

Very nice experience. Next to the safari park. I dropped my luggage at resort, request the resort to book a private car for 350k rupiah and drive us into the safari adventure (2 hours drive through in thr park). It is so worth it. Bring u into the animals park and feed animals while u r in the car. Buy ur carrots and bananas.

A great place to stay if you are heading to the safari. Staffs were great and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious. And the animal view from the balcony was amazing. Good experience for the kids to be close to nature. They also provided carrot in the room for animal feeding. We went for the morning walk and we had the best experience with the guide.
