Daroessalam Syariah Heritage Hotel

The hotel has ample parking space that is adjacent to the gas station. However, one guest noted a negative experience, stating that when arriving by bus, the driver was not assisted by a parking attendant and they were asked to find a spot themselves.

The reception operates 24 hours a day. The staff are described as very friendly, polite, efficient, and willing to help. Guests have mentioned the possibility of early check-in (e.g., at 6 am) without additional charges if rooms are available. However, one visitor noted that there may be a shortage of staff, noting that only one employee works on both morning and evening shifts.

The breakfast at the hotel is described as simple and with a limited selection of dishes, which has been mentioned several times as a drawback. However, the food is generally well-received: guests have praised tofu soup and meatballs, fried rice, fish in batter, and coffee. Some guests consider the menu to be too modest and recommend that it be improved.

The hotel restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes with authentic flavors, including East Javanese cuisine such as rawon and fried rice. Guests rate the food as very tasty, high quality, and reasonably priced. Many call the restaurant a "hidden gem" in the city.

The hotel provides Wi-Fi connection, which guests describe as quite good.

The rooms are spacious, clean, with high ceilings and comfortable soft beds. Guests note that the bedding and white towels are clean. The furniture is made of wood in a vintage style, which creates an atmosphere of luxury and comfort. The windows offer a pleasant view, and some rooms have mini-fridges.

The overall cleanliness in the hotel is at a high level. Rooms and corridors are cleaned thoroughly. However, there are complaints about the plumbing: in some rooms (e.g., 104), there is a blockage in the drain, and in another review, water is mentioned as being stagnant around the toilet, which requires repair.

The rooms have air conditioners that effectively cool the room. The system for providing hot water works reliably, with strong and stable water pressure in the bathrooms.

The rooms provide standard toiletries, prayer mats (sadja), and two bottles of drinking mineral water as a complimentary gift. Laundry services are also available.

There is a small pool on site, which is more suitable for children under 12 years old. There is also a beautiful garden with architectural elements reminiscent of Al-Hamra, and an internal courtyard. One guest noted that during his visit, the pool was not functioning.

The hotel is well-suited for family holidays due to its quiet atmosphere, availability of a children's pool, and appropriate menu in the restaurant. It is important to note that the hotel operates according to the "Sharia" system, so accommodation in one room is only allowed for married couples.

The hotel is located in a historic building from the Dutch colonial era (formerly the mayor's house of Pasuruan), built around the 1800s. The architecture is an elegant combination of Chinese, Javanese and Western styles. The interior and exterior are very aesthetically pleasing, containing old photographs and furniture, making it ideal for taking photos and for those interested in history.
