Hello to the owner😍. Please help. I don't know how to contact you. Hope you can read this. I just booked a room today for October 28 until Nov. 1. Actually I choose Oct. 29 to November 2 but when I clicked to confirm my booking the dates suddenly change. My problem now is I will arrived Cemorolawang on the 29 of October. Anyway I will pay the whole 4 nights (Oct. 28 to Nov. 1) Just late check in please. Please don't cancel my booking as I want to stay in your hotel. Thank you very much.

I stayed here in April with my friend and loved it! The place is simple but has everything you need to enjoy your visit: clean rooms, hot showers, and a warm welcome. The location is amazing, you can see the volcano right from the front of the property, and it’s just a short walk to the center of town. The best part is the host! He shares all the important info about where to go, the best times to visit, and knows everything about transport around Java. Do yourself a favor and book this place if you plan to visit Bromo :)

Cahyo Homestay offers an absolutely stunning view that is truly its strongest selling point. The homestay is situated incredibly close to the volcano, providing a direct, panoramic view of Mount Bromo right from your room. This proximity also means it's conveniently near the path down to the base of the mountain, making early morning treks much easier. Waking up to the majestic sight of Bromo from your window is an unforgettable experience.
The owner is another highlight – he's very friendly and incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with information and advise on how to get around the Bromo area. His local insights are invaluable for planning your volcano adventures.
However, it's important to set expectations regarding the amenities. The rooms are relatively small and lack many conveniences. Don't expect a full set of toiletries; you'll likely need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. The toilet basin and mirror are also quite small. While functional, the focus here is definitely on the view and location rather than luxurious comforts.
Overall, if a magnificent, unobstructed view of Mount Bromo and a strategic location are your top priorities, and you're prepared for basic, no-frills accommodation, Cahyo Homestay is an excellent choice. Just remember to pack your own essentials!

Host was very attentive, even allowed us to do an early check-in. Room was clean, shower was hot.
It's up in the mountains — It's rainy season — Stuff gets a little damp. If you have spent some time in a mountain hut, you'll find that these rooms are very reasonable and comfortable, for an unbeatable price.
Things we missed: a) maybe one or two chairs to sit outside our door and enjoy the weather (but we didn't ask for them, maybe could've been arranged). B) a hot water kettle, but — upon asking — the host kindly provided us with a large thermos with hot water so we could make our own coffee (I believe he could also provide us with coffee powder, but we already had our own).
Would definitely stay again.
As other people have mentioned, the hotel is INSIDE the park / past the "park check point". We got into the park through a guided sunrise tour from Malang, which dropped us off in Cemorolawang afterward. But, our tour guide never gave us our "park ticket / receipt". If you want to go to the restaurants / toko from Cayho Homestay, you'll have to go back through this checkpoint. We did this several times during our stay at Cayho, on foot, and were never asked for a ticket or receipt at this checkpoint. Still, better be safe than sorry and hold on to / ask for your ticket from your tour guide, if they end up being the ones paying for your "park entrance fee". ;)

This is a good option if you are a backpacker as it is on the cheaper side but nicer than a hostel. The owner was very nice and helpful. You have an amazing view of mount bromo (when it is clear) only down fall was that there was no hot shower, more of a lukewarm and you still felt cold after. I would recommend brining warm clothes as you never know how the weather will be and a raincoat. Also close to a lot of restaurants.

Excellent homestay at the edge of the outer caldera. The rooms simple but clean. The host is very attentive, helping with making out stay pleasant before and during. I would especially highly recommend this place if you intend to hike to the volcano as the rooms are directly adjacent to the crater.

Affordable venue for vacation. Friendly staff. Quiet near to the Jurassic Park volcano. The problem lies with its restrooms… there was not a single ^cloth hanger^ in the bathrooms. So how could guests hang their clothes while bathing?

Let me start by saying I really recommend staying there. The owner is so friendly and helps answer any questions you have about the nearby activity. He gave me such an amazing stay and I was really happy with my stay here… the water was hot in the shower and the rooms were super clean. The owner really makes sure to provide a wonderful stay here and he is so friendly. 10 stars for the service! I LOVED my stay here.
