We received excellent service and interesting backstories from our host Peter, a fellow Dutchman. He and his staff serve good food at fair prices as well.

What a beautiful place to stay, everything about the place is perfect.

After a long round trip through Java, we arrived at our last accommodation before the crossing to Bali. Once we arrived, Peter would "explain it all". It is steaming hot and there are no air conditioners in the rooms, making it difficult to fall asleep.
Once you fall asleep with the fan over your bed, you wake up with a sore throat. Bring noise cancelling earplugs, the accommodation is surrounded by mosques due to morning prayers. The rooms are in fact open at the top of the window with screens, so you can hear everything very well. The food was good though and the staff were very sweet. All in all a night to remember. But what do you expect for such an amount. Is it the fault of the accommodation or the travel agency?

We had a wonderful time at Rumah Kita. It's clean and it has a beautiful garden and great swimmingpool. The food they prepare is good, The owner is very friendly. We visited different plantations with him and learned a lot about coffee, cacao, rubber and life in Indonesia. We recommend this place.

It’s a hidden germ in East Java. The accomodation is very clean and spacious. We arrived around 7PM and Peter had waited for us and prepared the accomodation with an extra bed for our kid.
The food is nice. All the staff is pretty friendly. The hotel provides a small box if you want to give tip to the staff.
Nice and clean swimming pool. Lovely sunrise too.

Pieter Don't like to meddle in the affairs of the guest program that has been arranged. If you want to sell a tour program, set up a tour agency. Do not be disturbing matters of drivers, guides, plant goodness. Then you will get goodness.

Would we stay here again: Yes, definitely!
What we liked: The host (Dutch) was very friendly and welcoming. He picked us up from the train station, we had some interesting talks, he gave us very good tips and tricks for our journey further in Bali. As such, we came in contact with Ronnie (+62 812-3911-297) whom guided us in most of our travels in Bali. Back to the hotel; it is a small 'center parcs' with 1 main house and two smaller houses. The smaller houses host both two rooms for guests. The pool was great. This is a great place to relax in peace.
Improvement: The Wi-Fi connection in the room could be better, at the main house were breakfast was served it was OK. Furthermore the bed was a bit to hard according to my girlfriend, for myself it was OK. Finally, at 3 AM in the morning the mosque nearby started shouting it's morning pray. Normally I sleep through anything (ambulance, trains, et cetera) but this even woke up me. Luckily, the hosts provides ear buts to ease this discomfort.

Rumah Kita is a beautiful place. The garden is just amazing with lots of different plants and very well preserved, you feel like in a botanic garden. The rooms are very spacious, and clean and the beds are also very comfortable.
Peter helped us with tips to organize the rest ouf our trip. He took the time to. Sit with us and share his knowledge. It was very helpfull.
We also did the sukamade tour with them, to see the turtles. It was amazing, very well organized. On the way, we stopped at different plantations like latex, coffee, cacao and we also saw the tofu production.
Rumah Kita is a very special place and so is its staff. We highly recommend it and we would without doubt go back if passing by kalibaru again!
