Recommend homestay for your trip to Surabaya. It has very affordable price and is located near a local traditional market. Yet, it's not the perfect one. There were holes on the wall, you get 2 shared restrooms and one of which can't be locked from inside or you'll get trapped. If you use the restrooms, it will make some noise too meaning you won't get optimum privacy when using it. Overall, the quality and service you get is relevant to money you spend for the booking.

I recommend this place to whoever wants to stay for a short time. It's so homey and comfortable. I brought all of my fam (8 in total) we booked 3 rooms and it's all comfortable, full ac and clean. There's a lot of mosquitoes but we bought hit electric so it solved. Overall it's a good place.
