Everytime we had breakfast, always got warm welcoming from restaurant staff, special thanks to Mr Dian outstanding remembered my white omelette, Mr Qomar & Ms Huna very attentive toward guests needs with their sincere smile. Hoping they well maintained the services.
Overall the food was alright. Mie goreng is always tasty, but bihun n flat noodle not so. The cleanliness excellent. May be juat little input, those who’s having omelette it will be nice if you can spare some knife. Knowing some expats also ate your guests.
Front office always warm, nice feelin as we far from home.
Room are tidy, some input and they act fast, thank you. We just dont like the amenities, the body wash, shampoo n hand wash smells like dee dee by yuri product from market. Hoping one day u can improve a bit bout those. Hand wash instead you glue it, u can place it like in the shower room. So no one can took it.

I had a very satisfying experience at Harris Hotel Gubeng. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel felt pleasant. The staff were consistently helpful and polite, which made everything run smoothly.
I also used one of the meeting rooms during my stay, and it worked very well for our session. The facilities were in good condition, the equipment functioned without trouble, and the staff supported us whenever we needed something.
Breakfast had a good range of options, and the hotel’s central location made it easy to get around the city.
Overall, both the stay and the meeting went beyond my expectations. I would be happy to return for future trips or events.

I upgraded my self to their premier room which is very well decorated and very good ergonomics (the chiller at the comfortable level etc). The bed was also very good, the provided bolsters also which is a plus point. However, their chiller didnt work and my milk spoiled, their soap smelled like tape singkong, and dor the price point they only provided toothbrushes and shower cap, no shaving kit nor cotton buds.
Service wise was top notch, all the stuff super polite and attentive.
Hats off for the chef at Seventeen longue, a very high quality artisan gourmet, even their ketchup tasted very very nice 🤤. Pizza was beyond compare and the plating was gastronomicaly beautiful.
Breakfast was so so, but I dont rly expect much. Froyo machine and good coffee was a redeeming point for me.
Ps. For my personal preference, I wont book any of their so called smart room. Its overpriced for the quality that you get. Can find better option elsewhere.

Stayed here for a few nights during a business trip and it was a great choice. The hotel’s in a good location near the city center, and also close to the business district in Surabaya, so getting to meetings was super easy. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable — perfect after a long day of work. Staff were friendly and check-in was smooth. There are also a few nice cafes and restaurants within walking distance, which was really convenient. Overall, a solid pick for business travelers who still want easy access to the city.

Tried their buffet dimsum end of last month. It's on the Seventeen Lounge and only available on Sundays. The dim sum menu was quite varied, but the taste was just so so. The dim sum weren't steamed hot enough as well, and somewhat dry. Probably left out uncovered too long. The cooking class for children was also very short, only about 5 minutes.
The place was quite packed as there was a 20% promo discount at that time. Normal price was IDR 228.000 nett/pax. Service in the dim sum area was okay, but when we arrived in the lobby, the porter who greeted us wasn't well informed. We asked where the dimsum buffet was, and was directed to level 5. It was actually at level 17.

Kudos to all the lovely and helpful staffs in Harris Gubeng, Surabaya. From front to all units in this hotel, you guys are the best! I’m at 6th floor room. And I would like to give my special thanks to the laundry staff, they sewed my torn skirt and it means a lottttt to me. You guys doing your job wholeheartedly ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Very misleading “4-star” hotel — feels more like 3 stars at best.
Don't be fooled by their fancy lobby photos. The rooms are extremely small — barely enough space for the bed, and it feels cramped like a capsule room you’d see in movies from Japan or Hong Kong. The bathroom design is poor; the wet and dry areas are not separated, so the entire floor gets soaked after a shower.
Cleanliness is a big issue. Towels were very worn out, and on the first day, dirty towels were left on the bathroom floor. Housekeeping didn’t replace them — they just folded the same dirty towels and put them back on the table. The mugs were also stained with coffee marks.
The twin beds are placed right next to each other, so they’re only suitable for couples, not co-workers sharing a room.
Don't be fooled by the AC Control panel on the Wall, it's not a Central controlled AC, it's regular Wall Mount AC with a Wall panel instead of a remote Control. The noise is like having Subway Station next door, I had to turn it off just to sleep.
Overall, this hotel doesn’t live up to its four-star claim. With such small rooms and poor cleanliness, it’s more of a three-star stay at best (motel experience at the best). And I highly suspect the authencity of their other overall high rating reviews, travelers be awared.

The bed was perfect for a good night's sleep, and all the amenities worked well. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, both local and international, and all freshly prepared and tasty. Overall, a great place to stay. We stayed in the newly renovated suite, which was absolutely amazing — modern, spacious, and tastefully luxurious. The suite connected to a twin-bed room for our kids, which was ideal and made everything feel even more like home.
Highly recommended for families and travelers who value comfort, service, and thoughtful touches. We will definitely be back!

The air conditioner is very cold and the bed is comfortable, also the room is perfect and tidy, The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with local recommendations and any requests. I appreciated the daily housekeeping and the complimentary bottled water. Breakfast was included in the stay and offered a decent variety, though the taste could be improved. The Wi-Fi worked well throughout the hotel, and the lobby had a nice lounge area for relaxing or working.

Solo travel. I book smart room. The room is a bit small. And the view is okay. Smart TV with youtube and netflix.
I can’t sleep well, I don’t know why, noisy sound from nowhere at 3am, like pulling chairs, people talking, etc.
The breakfast is okay. I stay during holiday season so the cafe’ a but crowded.

I stayed at Harris Hotel during the Christmas holiday, and it was very crowded. I like this hotel because they maintain the same price for both normal and peak days, so there’s no need to worry about overpricing like some other hotels. The lobby isn’t very spacious but still comfortable, and the front office staff were very helpful.
The room is relatively small but clean and well-furnished, so it doesn’t feel cramped. I didn’t have time to try the other facilities, but the hotel’s strategic location was a big plus—I could walk to Suck My Duck for lunch. The breakfast offered plenty of options, though the taste was just average. Overall, staying here was definitely worth it.

The card at the beginning had a little difficulty and can't open the door, but we went back to fix it and it's all good. Other than that everything is great. The swimming pool was nice though maybe add more bathroom/shower rooms? The food was delicious and had various options.
