Stayed three nights.
Pro — next to station, quiet, good air con, nice room, clean, nice gardens, gave me a kettle when I requested one, internet was good.
Cons — kitchen is being renovated, staff not always there, rubbish not removed, no drinking water unless you ask, nothing to do in the neighborhood, room wasn't cleaned.
Wanted to climb Ijen. Failed, could not book a trip, paid a deposit but was cancelled, only option was a USD 80 plus entrance fee private tour.
Going independent proved a pain. It was not possible to find out if the requirement for a compulsory guide was correct.
Ultimately I enjoyed the stay, it was relaxing, but otherwise if you are looking for things to do, I would stay here in the low season…
