5 stars for the value for money. The room is clean and has enough furniture to put your stuff. It is right in front of the station so it is perfect if you have to catch a train. Most of all, the staff is very helpful and gave us a hand by keeping a room for us last minute after a rough journey.

The location and service are excellent. Nitha helped us to arrange the tour to Ijen and provide all the necessary items for the trip. I stayed in the cheapest room so the only downside is that my room does not have an air conditioner and hot water. It was too cold to shower at night and too hot too sleep at noon.

Reached to this homestay about 11.30pm and promptly greeted by mas Agus (very accommodative! ). Paid directly to him before checking-in as my booking in agoda just seems to secure a room. Pleasant stay, even one of mbak from next cafe helped me for hot water, thank you.

Incredible Homestay! We are so happy to had stayed there to see the Ijen Volcano. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
The rooms are super clean and comfortable! Location can’t be better, just in front of the train station.
In the Homestay they have a restaurant with incredible food with amazing prices and also provide tour services/motorbike rental/ mask rental…
We recommend it without a doubt!

Just located beside Banyuwangi kota train station, nearby featured local food stalls, not easy to miss. Overall quiet and cosy homestay, if need to hang around in town, online booking ojek — fast and cheap.

Very friendly and helpful family. The rooms and entire homestay are very clean and we felt like being at home.
Mt Ijen Tour via Nitha:
In general this tour was a great experience, although we had some language issues in communication with our tour guide.
After the pick up you will be shuttled to the meeting point where you have to wait up to almost an hour and it is freezing there, be prepared ;)
You will then be handed over to the guide who will accompanie your walk. We were with Sam and he was really friendly and it was great fun with him.
Tell your guide you want to visit the blue fire first and after that to the sunrise point! Unfortunately our tour guide walked straight to the sunrise point and at the time we realized that we had to run back approx. 10/15 minutes to see the blue fire but it was too late already and almost missed the sunrise as well. The path down to the blue fire has no railing and is not easy to walk. In general we would not recommend walking up the Mt Ijen if you are not in a good fitness condition as the paths are very slippery, especially when walking down again. We saw a lot of people who fell down and hurt themselves.
It is really very cold. A scarf, hand gloves, longarm shirt, jacket, good shoes are recommended. If you don't have enough, you can buy some gloves, scarf etc. At the meeting point.

This was a great place for us to stay after getting into town close to midnight as they were located right across the street from the train station. The rooms were very clean. No warm water but shower was luke warm so just be aware — this was no problem for us as it's quite warm in Indonesia. They included a very tasty breakfast — we had banana pancakes and coffee but they also offered other local options. Excellent value. Highly recommend.
