Bobocabin Kawah Ijen, Banyuwangi

I stayed at Bobocabin Ijen for the Mount Ijen Blue Flame hike, and honestly, it’s the perfect basecamp. The whole experience feels modern, easy, and thoughtfully designed for tired travelers. You download their app to check in, unlock your door, adjust the lighting, and control a few other smart features, which makes everything smooth and kind of futuristic in a fun way.
The layout reminds me of glamping, but upgraded. Cozy private cabins instead of tents, surrounded by nature. The bed was super comfortable, and the little amenities made it feel way more premium than expected. After a 1:15am wake-up for the 2 a. M. Hike, that comfort really matters.
Food was surprisingly good too. I ordered the wonton soup twice (that says something), and the fried chicken hit the spot after the trek. Location is a huge win, you can literally walk or take a quick motorbike ride to the hike entrance, so you can sleep as long as possible.
Coming back exhausted and knowing your cabin is just minutes away feels amazing. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Ijen, and u meet the friendly staffs, easy check in, get the comfortable room, and get the amazing view. It's one of my best moment in my life. I really really enjoyed the experience! What a strategic location, down the road about 500 meters from Ijen, but I wouldn’t walk down that road at night. Thankfully we had a car since getting up at 1:30am to climb that road would’ve been tough to navigate at that time. We really liked everything about our stay. The team is friendly, the food (delivered to your room when requested), was hot and good. We had 1 dinner and 1 breakfast as we were only there for a night. The cabins are modern as well as the grounds, security cameras all over and motion sensor lights. Great views and an extremely friendly team working everywhere we ran into someone. It’s so peaceful, even with a large family checking we barely heard them and we went to bed early for our hike. Was having to download the app a pain, yes, could they set it up to order food on the app, yes, could the road leading in be improved, yes, but that won’t deter us from staying here again if the need should arise.
