We stayed here for half a night before beginning our climb. When we arrived at 7PM, the worker at the reception seemed a little confused and couldn’t see our Agoda reservation. But it worked out and we got our room. Also, he helped us to buy the online tickets (150k per person), gas mask and headlight (50k per person). That was very appreciated.
The room itself is really barebones, it only has a mattress on the floor and a small sideboard. For our purposes, good enough. However, the blanket wasn’t warm enough, as it does get really cold at night.
Also, as others have pointed out, it gets really loud here around midnight. Reason is all the tours arriving here to gather and have breakfast. But I assume that’s gonna be the case in all homestays in this area.

Noisy and dirty accommodation. I honestly doubt they even change the bed sheets. We requested a towel, but it was full of stains and smelled terrible. The shower was not working properly, and the water pump made loud noises every 10 seconds.
The worst part is that all the tours start right in front of the accommodation, and people make a lot of noise from around midnight, making it impossible to sleep. Before that, we also had to deal with loud noise coming from a nearby bar.
We did not choose to stay there ourselves — the accommodation was booked by the travel agency we were travelling with.

We stayed at this accommodation with our tour guide to see the Ijen volcano. Can’t believe he chose this place. It was filthy with stains on bed sheets (guess they were not washed at all), the towels (which I had to asi for) were dirty and smelled like rotten egg. They were spider webs everywhere and on top of that the shower was leaking, which was very annoying since we wanted to sleep. Mold and dirt all over the room.
As a cherry on top, when we came from our hike the shower wasn’t working at all.
Please avoid this.
