Kaluna Resort-Batu

Dear Kaluna Resort Management,
I would like to share my feedback regarding my recent stay at Kaluna Resort in Room 12 from May 30 to June 1.
First of all, I would like to acknowledge that the resort has a beautiful natural setting. The lush trees surrounding the property and the charming wooden cottage concept create a peaceful and unique atmosphere that has great potential to provide a memorable guest experience.
However, during my stay, I encountered several issues that significantly affected my overall satisfaction:
1. The stairs leading to the room are extremely steep and may pose a serious safety risk to guests, especially children, elderly guests, and those carrying luggage.
2. The parking area is located quite far from the lobby, making arrival and departure inconvenient and inefficient.
3. Many parts of the property appear poorly maintained, giving the impression that the resort is not being properly cared for.
4. The Wi-Fi connection was very poor and unreliable throughout my stay.
5. The reception/management staff were often unavailable, making it difficult to seek assistance when needed.
6. A leftover packaged milk drink for my baby was not cleared from the room during housekeeping.
7. Used coffee cups were left uncleaned.
8. On one of the days during my stay, the room was not cleaned at all.
9. The bathroom floor was sandy and never properly cleaned.
10. Leftover food and food packaging were not removed by housekeeping.

We booked this accommodation to avoid the traffic noises initially for one night, and it didn't disappoint us. Upon arriving, we immediately felt relaxed. The rooms are scattered among the spacious lush garden. We extended our stay for another night, which we wished we could have stayed longer.
We had good quality sleep.
The complex is set back from the busy traffic of the main road and within a short ride or walk-able distance to eateries and little convenient stores and some theme parks that we didn't get to visit.
The manager, Pak Kris, is a very kind, caring and warm person. He surprised us with some traditional savory and snacks that I hadn't had for 30-odd years.
Thank you for having us and we will definitely be staying there again if we ever come back to Batu. We will recommend this place to friends and families traveling to Malang region.
