Amartahills Hotel and Resort

Spending 1night only for business trip. The hotel was good. Location at top of the hill is a value plus for someone who need quiet time and no people wandering. No traffic also since the location is remote area. Only local and the guest of the hotel who commute around.
Hereby the verdict so far. Positive ones as follow :
1. Quiet place.
2. View is top notch. Hotel facing east you can enjoy sunrise.
3. Facility quite good. Swimming pool warm and jacuzzi available 6am to 6pm.
4. There are meeting room and event chapel for wedding.
5. You can enjoy city of malang at night. Priceless.
6. Restaurant separate the area for family who has small children. Smart. Some guest need relaxed breakfast.
7. You have to visit 15degree restaurants at top of the building. You must!
Meanwhile ne negative are :
1. Short staffed during breakfast. Dirty plates and trash need 15mins to be picked up. It attract flies.
2. No swimming pool manager because many guest is swim without proper swimsuit. Has to emphasize guest without proper swim attire will be rejected immediately.
3. During my stay, request room to be placed on the front (facing chapel) not approved. Quite dissapointed.
4. Breakfast need add the taste.
5. The access to hotel during night time need more courage since it's dark and narrow street. Pls ensure your vehicle get routine maintenance. Uphill.
6. Lack of activities. You should can provide bike or ebike for guest so they can sightseeing the area.

Booked junior suite at price idr 1250/night. Got room number 5302. Turned out the room is unsuitable for stay! Got a smelly damp room with dimpy lighting. When I complained and ask for changing room, they had a very very slow response. One of the staff told me the room 5301 had carcasses smell and not available. Shocked! It was next to me. Then some of the junior suite rooms also had trouble and they opted me to move to the room at the end of hallway. Spooky! I choose to upgrade to executive suite with additional 1.5 mill/night. Executive suite is dusty and dirty. The bathroom had a lot of laron flying and dead on floor. Jacuzzi and balcony also got a lots of laron. The bathroom bowl had a lot of black spots can’t be cleaned. The staff told me, it was mould. The bath towel is old and yellowish. Such a joke with that kind of price. 4 MILL/night and I got this kind of room 🔥!
The pros only the food at breakfast is good and they got a great view.
The funny thing. Their manager can’t be contacted during our stay and they didn’t give ud any complimentary as apologize attitude for such BAD SERVICE! Don’t book this hotel if you don’t want your holiday experience RUINED!

Friendly staff, room cleanliness was good, the ambiance here’s really good, even though I can’t sleep well last time because of the crowds from guest next to my room or maybe from downstairs at the parking area. Great facilities: warm swimming pool, playground for kids available here and specially complete gym equipments 👍🏻
What this hotel needs to improve is actually the breakfast. Sorry to say but your breakfast tastes not good, seriously, you need to improve it. I just like the eggs section. Better not make takoyaki if it only contains of flour topped with sauce. Don’t make fried shrimp if it tastes bland. The point is please improve the tastes of your dishes for breakfast.
Hoping to see the changes in the future.

Sesuai dengan namanya, lokasinya di lereng gunung. Secara otomatis pemandangan ke bawah terutama ke Timur sangat indah. Sunrise is really nice. It is highly recommended for holiday, or newly marriage couples for honeymoon. The hotel has many interesting facilities, such as fitness center, photo spots, swimming pools, jogging track, rooftop cafe, etc. Staying in bedroom is also a good idea, to avoid chilly weather outside, especially in the evening. Wake up early to witness the beautiful sunrise.

It is a fantastic hotel with a great location and scenery. Unfortunately, the quality of services is quite awful, especially for the housekeeping and restaurant service.
Rather than staying here, I recommend you enjoy the sky lounge here. Much more recommended.

Very good view and clean hotel. Excellent service, laundry, housekeeping, meeting room.
Food is great but pricier than what is available at gofood.
Hotel only to the third floor but sprawling like a maze. Pretty confusing at first.
The rooftop restaurant has amazing view of the Batu city.

My last visit to this hotel because my office had 2 days meeting. Overall, they have excellent service with great view hotel.
All facilities such as pool, gym, playground, walking track and cafe are very nice.
Recommended.

Room is not clean, especially bed sheets and towels that are greyish and stained; THEY ABSOLUTELY NEED TO BE RENEWED.
Toileteries (soap & shampoo) are not good enough for a 4 star hotel/resort.
Check in time needs to be improved as rooms were not ready when I arrived at 16.00 plus.
On positive side, beautiful view from rooftop restaurant.

I stayed at Executive room with balcony for 1 night. Here is my experience:
(+) parking area is spacious and near the lift, very helpful.
(+) amazing view facing the Kawi mountain. Especially in the morning.
(+) spacious room for 4 people. Access to the 2nd room using stairs inside the room. It's quite like an apartment.
(+) medium speed Wi-Fi and smart TV. Great for watching movie together.
(+) the bed and pillow is sooo soft and comfortable. Had an amazing sleep there.
(+) the staff is responsive if there is any problem or request.
(+) breakfast is standard, no big complaint, I like the dimsum very much. Other dish need to improve.
(+) large swimming pool.
(+) the hotel surrounding is neat and clean.
(-) dirty carpet, found many ants crawling under my feet when first entering the room, fortunately staff responds to spray anti insect.
(-) laron get inside the room through the balcony sliding door rail. Only few but quite disturbing.
(-) private jacuzzi is quite dirty. There is moss on the lining surface. Need to regularly clean up and the water is not hot or even warm, just few celcius above tap water.
(-) need to bring own utensils if you want to cook or reheat food, even no cutlery provided.

The price does NOT justify the whole experience staying here despite the beautiful scenery they have.
First, we'll talk about the room. The cleanliness level is ok and many parts need more maintenance/clean thoroughly since near the shower caulk there are molds.
Small fridge is not cold at all so I gotta throw away my breastmilk stash.
Second, we came as family who is joining our family member who got married. I personally booked junior suite room, asked for extra bed at 2nd day staying at 12 PM noon. Only to find out they have NOT installed it at all at 8 PMI gotta call receptions who was not even available (none pick the phone until my 3rd time calling). Then at 8 PM when my baby was sleeping the staff come ringing the bell violently + yelling "hospitality" to install the extra bed.
The house keeping staff was bad too, came in with his outside shoe to my room, near the sink after passing dining table! I did not even do that, I always take off my shoe inside (asian practice).
Also upon checking out, I gotta tell the front desk service to confirm my extra bed which they charged for 3 nights when I just use it 2 nights. This enraged me more because the staff who was handling me was the same person whom I talk to the day before, and I mentioned the exact same thing about the extra bed the day before. So I just have to repeat everything I said to her the day before.

Overall, It was a nice experience for us to stay here. The room was spacious and clean with a balcony that allow us to see a nice scenery and city lights at night.
We also enjoyed the rooftop cafe at night. The food was great.
Nice facilities, we really loved the jacuzzi at night.

The hotel with the best view in town (Batu), valid no debat!

Nice experience. The service is good. The food is good. Nice view. We can go to the rooftop to see the citylight at night, even though the wind is so cold. I don't have any regrets stay in this hotel. The food is nice, good enough, and quiet a lots of variation.

It was a super pleasant experience staying at Amartahills, we love the overall vibes, design, warm services, hearty breakfast, great rooftop cafe (pricey but worth every penny).
We upgraded our room to junior suite for better view right from the balcony, and extended our stay too.

Great hotel with amazing view especially the sunrise. The executive suite was spacious enough for the whole family (4 adults & 2 kids). It’s a nice accommodation if you want somewhere peaceful to chill away from the busy city life. There is heated pool in our suite. Gym facilities wasn’t so bad as well. Breakfast was not too bad. Overall it’s a nice stay and we loved the cooling weather.

A nice and cool hotel at the top of the hill of Batu Malang. The hotel has swimming pool (heater) and gym facilities. The hotel are is quite big but it is slight old dated.
Breakfast is fine but not WoW. Stay 2 nights at the hotel and overall experience is quite enjoyable, maybe due to the cooling weather of batu Malang.

Best view spot everywhere. Love their rooms that are clean and tidy and also spacious enough for a family. Their pax includes breakfast with various menus. If you want to feel the fresh air you can go to the fifteen Celsius lounge.
