Didus Homestay Bed & Breakfast

We stayed as a base for one night for Ijen night hike. They arranged the private guide (who was lovely). The room was comfy, good shower and the vibe was nice. Local food is easy ordered in and was a short walk from the railway station. And the Ijen hike was amazing.

Fantastic place. Breakfast is great and staff are friendly. Can organize tours here. Convenient by train station. I think it's one of the best accommodations I've stayed in globally and I travel a lot for business and leisure. Would adapt my itinerary in the future to stay here again for several days.

We loved it so much that we extended our stay here. There is a huge chill area and a pool with another chill area. Multiple breakfast options, really nice rooms with airconditioning and mosquitonets and the staff is extremely friendly. A few cute warungs & café’s are walking distance as well as the train station. You can rent a scooter at the homestay as well.

An amazing homestay in a beautiful jungle setting! The people are so friendly and there’s everything you could want such as a lovely pool, games, kitchen with free water, tea and coffee, multiple social areas, books, a tv, hammocks and beanbags, etc etc.
Our room was really cosy with a comfortable bed, the bathroom was exposed to the elements a little so do expect some bugs. Breakfast is available and for dinner you can also order from the homestay or from grab.
They also organised our Ijen tour which was really wonderful. If you’re just here for Ijen, you may want to consider staying an extra day or two just to enjoy this wonderful place!

WOW what a magical place! Super cute little bungalows in a jungle like garden with amazing outdoor bathrooms. So comfortable and amazing value. They also do great banana pancakes for breakfast. They sorted all our tours and transfer to Bali for us so we did not have to worry about a thing. Highly recommend staying here!

We were two days at didu’s. The cabins are very nice, equipped with decent airconditioning and an attached private outdoor bathroom. Staff is friendly and offer all kinds of tours and services. Swimming pool is clean and refreshing. Recommended!

Very relaxed setting in a quiet rural area near the train station. Friendly and helpful staff. Great base for Ijen mountain. Very easy and affordable to organise Ijen hike and transport to Bali.

We booked this place for 1 night amd probably should have stayed longer to recover from Ijen trek. It is really lovely, comfy bed, clean and very helpful staff.

The best homestay we had in our 3 weeks vacation in Indonesia. The staff is incredibly and genuinely friendly, the accommodation is beautiful and lovely prepared and the Ijen tour from the homestay was also wonderful with nice guides. Highly recommended — if we had had the time, we would have stayed here much longer!

This is a really quiet and peaceful place with lots of charm. Great place to relax and recover after a long night on Mount Ijen. The staff is super friendly and attentive.
Only downside. Room 5 is too small for 4 people.
Walking distance to the train station and a small shop. Otherwise a bit out of the way.

Such an enjoyable and unique stay. Check-in was seamless and I wont spoil the suprise, but there's a really special thing that is there for you arrival. The room was super cute, and the outside/inside shower room was an experience.
Because the bathroom is half open, it does mean that night creatures can also be around too. However, this just adds to the thrill of being in nature. There is a door separating the bathroom to the main room, so no worries. The kitchen area is so cool and there's even a living area where you can read and relax. There is an ordering service where you can buy food and it gets delivered to you. The swimming pool looked great but I didn't get the time to jump in. The whole area is just beautiful. Along with fishes and beautiful flowers, trees, plants and decorations. I would definitely recommend it for a night or two while visiting the hot springs and Mount Ijen.
They were also able to provide a fruit plate for breakfast, which isn't on the menu. The breakfast menu also has pancakes and waffles which was a pleasant surprise, after being at other homestays that offer the standard Nasi Goreng or egg sandwich.
Everyone was so friendly here and made us feel so welcomed and at home. Didu's Homestay has a wonderful atmosphere.

Very beautiful and quiet. Some time to time a train, but it is lovely, kindly and charm full.
Breakfasts are the best we had during our stay in Java.
I recommend.

— The wooden houses are especially cooling, making sleep incredibly relaxing and chill.
However, a small note for light sleepers: the early morning prayers at 4 am, typical of Indonesian Muslim culture, can be heard. Bringing earplugs can help ensure an undisturbed rest.

I would’ve given this accommodation 10 stars if possible. It’s a great place to stay in Banyuwangi as it is not so far away from the Banyuwangi station, good restaurants, the city and the ferries. The room we got is calm and clean. Breakfast was delicious! They have even picked us up at the station because our train only arrived at night and the road to this accommodation unfortunately not so great, especially if you are with some big luggages. The people were also super friendly and best of all, fluent in English, which is somewhat rare here in Java. I will give you extra ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We followed a fairly tradition itinerary where we stayed here overnight, did a day trip to Mount ijen in the morning and then departed the next day.
I would say this accomodation is somewhere between a hostel and boutique hotel. The cabins are very comfortable with air conditioning, comfortable beds, mosquito netting and private bathrooms. However the outdoor area is a bit more of a hostel/communal vibe with shared kitchen and open gazebo living space with book exchange etc. There is also a self service fridge where you record what you consume and pay at the end. There is a pool but we didn’t use it. It’s got a kind of worn but cool grittiness to it that I imagine Ubud would’ve been like before it became over commercialised.
There isn’t a lot to see in this town outside of a daytrip to ijen so its position on the periphery of town is not a major issue. There isn’t however any restaurant or warungs around but a food delivery service is available and breakfast was provided as part of the booking which was delicious and reasonably priced.
Staff are very friendly.
On the negative side we did lose water in our shower for an extended period of time which was problematic after getting back from a rainy hike on Mount ijen.
Overall great value and I would recommend it to other non fussy travellers.

We are coming from Bali for the hike in Ijen. Little that we knew that the last minute booked accommodation, Didu's homestay, turned out to be the best Hotel choice for our stay!
You are welcome by the sweet chalkboard with your name is written on it. Entering a garden backyard vibe where the units are scattered, you will be welcomed by the scent of the greenery plants.
There is the Pendopo an open area with chairs where we could hang or chill out. There is an shared open kitchen where you can make your own tea and coffee. Refill water, tea, coffee and sugar are provided. They also provide kitchen utensils. You can also chill at the kitchen area and have a view of the garten and the Pendopo area.
If there is anything I should be concerned about was the semi-outdoor bathroom 😆 nothing dramatic. We needed to wait the rain stopped until we could finally take shower. Make sure you keep the doors shut to avoid insects or mosquito coming. We did not notice of the existence of any mosquito while our stay (I believe they existed, we are on tropical land, what I meant you can avoid by closing the door :)
The cuteness in this place is overflowing. I bought a toothbrush with a honesty box system. I picked what I want to buy and placed the money in the box! It reminded me of buying strawberry in a german village 😆🥰
So overall, we are very satisfied and this is definitely recommended affordable guest house! ❤️

This is a lovely place, it really feels like home.
The beds are really comfortable and very clean!
The sharing is place is very cute with books, a TV… It makes you really want to chill there.
