Dannus Homestay

We did the Ijen and Bromo tour organized by Dannu. It was a really good experience. Dannu is very kind, flexible and makes everything for you to have the best experience.
We needed transfer from Bali to Java and he always found a solution. Arip was our driver and the transfer was perfect.
We had a nice stay. If you want to discover friendly locals, go to this place, you will be not disappointed.

Not too far from the beach, lot of good places to eat around, gym and much more!
The Homestay is calm, peaceful and extremely clean.
Dannu is a lovely person, always up for a good chat and for suggestions, and he organises amazing visits to Ijen and Bromo.
Suggested if you want to chill and if you want to experience adventures too!

Worst experience in a long time!
Mold everywhere, loud, no curtains for the small two bed dorm. Small showers with cold water and no toilet paper or basket.
Very unfriendly und unhelpful owner Dannu. He gives wrong information to his guests so you book a tour with him (which is way more expensive than other tours in town! ).
I was not even allowed to go inside to wash my hands after I checked out and sat outside for 15 minutes. He told us we can not go on our own to see the blue fire — he will tell his friends there to not let us down into the crater. Many things like that. All bullshit.

We didn’t stay in the Homestay but Dannu organised a fair priced and great tour to ijen for my partner and I for the day of. We really appreciated his kindness and generosity and his hospitality even though we were not his guests. Genuine guy running a well looked after homestay.

Great homestay. Danny makes sure you feel like you're a part of the family in a home. He cooked for us and made sure we were comfortable. He also offers different tours.

We had comfortable stay here for Ijen trek. Breakfast is good. We had booked package through Dannu for Ijen and Bromo. It went smoothly.

What a great guy! I didn't have to do anything. He fixed right away my trip to Iljen en they just picked me up at the hostel! After the hike he gave me a good breakfast. So friendly and helped me know where I had to go for my boat trip (it was so difficult to find it online). 10/10 for sure!

I was supposed to go for an Ijen Volcano tour on the 1st of August with them. They did not tell me that the Ijen Volcano was closed and that day when I asked them they said “ah no it is closed, you cannot go” they did not tell me anything in advance even though I took the tour like 3 months ago. Apart from that I paid 500IDR as a deposit and they said they would refund it to me but nothing in a month, I have asked for it several times but still nothing. I would not recommend it at all if you don’t want to be scammed.
So sorry for this comment, I would love not to write it. But I have no chance.
