The guest house might be located within a local village area, but it’s easy to find and still close to the city. The place feels very homey and relaxing. The host loves fish, so there are many aquariums around the house, it’s so soothing to watch them.
Our room was clean and the bed very comfortable. My favorite spot was the terrace, with a small fish pond nearby, you can hear the gentle sound of the water, it’s truly peaceful.
The host was very helpful and attentive; he even drove us around and recommended the best local spots and restaurants. I brought my parents along during our stay, and they enjoyed it as much as I did.
Would definitely love to come back one day!

Super host Fajar! He speaks fluent English and, though it’s a family-run guesthouse, he’s incredibly professional. He even has a self-made little booklet introducing the nearby attractions! As soon as I arrived, he sat me down and went through it one by one, recommending great local restaurants too. On my last day, he took me around the village to see the rice terraces. I stayed for 3 nights and felt totally at home. Oh, and his fish tanks are absolutely fascinating!

Moza house.
We had a lovely stay at the Moza house! First of all, Fajar and his wife make you feel at home immediately. The house is very clean, and had everything we needed and even a very nice outside place with a view, perfect for having breakfast! We got a local breakfast which we enjoyed very much, and if you stay multiple days you will get different kind of breakfasts each day!
Fajar showed us the village and its surroundings with the local vegetables and fruit plantages. Fajar also took us to Dieng to show us around, and even further to Nepal van Java and Borobudur and even dropped us off at our next stay in Yogya. We had so much fun having a local as Fajar with us, because this way we learned so much about Java and its religion, its culture, … He arranged that we could try out batik at the Borobudur temple complex for a good price, it was a very nice experience.
We highly recommend this stay for everyone who is interested in experiencing this part of Java as a local!
