I am not THAT petty of a person, okay?
At first when I thought about giving 4 stars, I instantly felt guilty about it, to the owner as well. Too steep of a place? It's the terrain matter. Too outdated? They give pretty reasonable prices. Quite secluded? There's a motorcycle provided. Though yea, if there's a reviewer complaining about the price policy, that should be investigated. Seriously 💀👋🏻
I had pretty much no good expectations when seeing this cottage from the moment I stepped my foot on it.
“Oh look, another affordable mini hotel, probably poor cleaning, smells like cockroach, and well. ”
But boy oh boy, it started to crumble. Yes, the light was very dim because the wall. You know them old Jawa vibe dark wood wall, some of the villagers around have the same walls. It's not that odd actually, but for me, yea it's highly unusual although I find myself feeling easy to sleep at night despite the weird texture of the bed and the window only having one curtain sheet (very anxious lol).
But MOST IMPORTANTLY! the cleanliness proved my initial judgment wrong in so many languages. It's so crazily clean that one strand of hair that falls feel like a blasphemy to the floor. I'm just wondering, how the HECK they clean this place? I need to know how much the cleaning service get paid because this?! This isn't casual brooming and mopping situation.
I booked this place via booking. Com and it said clearly that the payment option is cash on spot as you arrive. Right after the booking they sent me a direct message in Indonesian to deposit 50% of the money to their bank account or the booking will be cancelled.
For all, be careful about this issue. They claim it is their hotel policy. Booking. Com is notified from my end about this because it is a clear violation of the terms of use.

I booked this place, and they send me a message 20 mins after reservation that I need pay 50% instead cash on spot, but I was driving to this place to be able to reach it before midnight, as result they cancel my reservation and drop on the middle of the night on slippery road.
