Nava Hotel Tawangmangu

This was our second time staying at Nava, and it will always be our favorite hotel in Tawangmangu. It’s a must to book a room with a balcony—the room feels cool, comfortable, and the view is beautiful.
The facilities are excellent. We were happy to spend the whole day here without going anywhere because there are so many activities for children.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to the female front office staff with short hair (I forgot her name) for her excellent service. She was very kind, friendly, and helpful. At one point, my tablet was lost at the restaurant, and it turned out it had already been safely kept by the Nava staff at the front office. The retrieval process was also very easy.
I will be very happy to return to Nava and bring my family again.

A beautiful n comfort place for holiday, either for staycation with family or go to waterfalls site nearby (grobogan sewu).
We're so pleased by the exceeding hospitality of all the staff, including the concierge when assiting our elderly with wheelchair to access our room in the most comfort way for her.
The scenary of the rooms and hotel are breath taking. Especially when the fog is away. Lots of spots for children to play n seeing animals, and also intagramable spots. Looking forward for another stay here… And for the new buiding and facilties a head. Said to be finished in the end of the year.

We asked to speak to duty manager Kiki and expressed our disappointment (after a flight to Jogya and a 3 hour drive to Tawangmangu only to see a carpark from our rooms). She dug in, checked n rechecked and turned it around for us — 3 mountain view rooms the next day.! This hotel does not feel like a 3 star. That Courtyard and infinity pool overlooking the mountain was stunning and it had lotsa little hangout spots just to chill. Staff are very courteous and helpful. If you need to escape from the rigours of town life. Hide here.

The I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The view from my room was absolutely breathtaking—lush greenery, mountains in the distance, and the soothing sound of birds every morning. It felt like a hidden oasis away from the noise of the city. The room was clean, cozy, and perfectly positioned to enjoy the natural surroundings. Staff were friendly and made sure everything was perfect. If you're looking to relax and reconnect with nature, this is the place to be! view are really nice.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a rather inconvenient experience. Upon arrival, I parked at the lobby on the 7th floor, but was later informed during check-in that my room was located on the 1st floor. I was advised to move my car to the 1st floor parking area for easier access.
However, when we arrived at the 1st floor parking, there was no staff around to guide us, and it was quite confusing to figure out where to go. We had to ask another guest just to find out where the rooms were. Surprisingly, to reach the 1st floor rooms, we had to climb a flight of stairs — carrying multiple large suitcases — which was very inconvenient and tiring.
Another issue was that the hotel only had one elevator servicing the other floors. It caused long waiting times, even for hotel staff, who seemed overwhelmed trying to move equipment and luggage.
On a positive note, we booked a package that included breakfast, and while it wasn't anything outstanding, the selection was quite complete and satisfying.
Overall, the experience could have been much smoother with better signage, staff assistance, and facilities. I hope the management considers improving the accessibility and staffing to match the hotel's scale. Thanks.

A beautiful stay in the Tawangmangu Mountains! Lovely and very polite staff will invite you to have a pleasant stay here. Breakfast Buffet ist really huge and very delicious, also live cooking stations available — buffet is Western and Asian style.
The rooms are spacious and the garden and Pool area is designed with much love for Detail — the panoramic view especially in the mornings and evenings to Mt. Merapi are one of the Highlights!
In the evening you have the possibility to get dinner Buffet — its just great and very delicious.
We felt really at home and the staff was helpful in every Situation — we will come again :)

Stayed here for 3 night and 2 days in a Family Room, hotel rate was Rp 1.725.000/ night including 3 pax breakfast and dinner. And you’ll also get free snack bar consisted of some nice snacks and beverage each day of your stay. The room was spacious, even when I added 1 extra bed for Rp 550.000, — / night including breakfast+dinner. Hot water was run well, no bathtub, only shower area. Menus were so so, kind of boring when you stayed for long periods. View was great. This hotel was also near with some nice cafes and also close to Grojogan Sewu waterfalls. The hotel wasn’t too big, no gym, no spa, only swimming pool. But the biggest downside of this hotel was this was the most “unpeaceful” hotel I ever stayed. Coming from the bustling city of Surabaya, I had a big expectation of bird chirping kind of vibes and peaceful ambience. But unfortunately, this hotel held so many group events, even for the guests who weren’t staying at the hotel. As I mentioned before, this hotel area wasn’t big, so the noise was really disturbing, you can’t even enjoy the calm night. The sounds of music and others’ events up until 10:00 p. M. Totally won’t recommend if you wanted to have a peaceful staycation. And I stayed on the 6th floor, the restaurant located in 7th floor, above my room, and I couldn’t even rest well because I could hear all the noises upstairs when the staffs prepared the kitchen.

Nice place, and fantastic experience! I truly appreciated the attention to detail and the warm hospitality. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

I love the atmosphere. Greenery is all around. Cool air. Friendly hotel staff, from arrival till check out time. Dinner and breakfast with many options, tasty foods. Clean room and all hotel area. Me and family enjoy walking to nearby waterfall Grojogan Sewu, so exhausted but super relaxing.

Came here for a meeting, the meeting room is quite nice although the ceiling is quite low. The coffee break needs more variety.

Strategic location and not much noisy around.

— The food fantastic, and within affordable hotwl rate, you'll get dinner and breakfast all in.
— The staff also friendly, helpful, and always keep tidy.
— The pool so fresh, clean, and safe for kids.
— The rate 3 stars, but the satisfaction up to 5 stars hotel.

Nava Hotel Tawangmangu — a perfect hotel for couple and/or family and corporate/government vacation, meeting, and/or gathering. Found this hotel through booking. Com and decided to stay at this hotel for three days and two nights on our way back to Surabaya. Good service, foods and drinks. Buffet dinner was served on daily basis. Tempe mendoan was our favorite snack. Unfriendly hotel for a heavy smoker, which is great! Smoking is prohibited in this hotel due to local government's policy. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel with a unique view and location.

Great hotel that offers unbeatable fresh, cool air! Thanks to the hotel's strict no-smoking policy, we had such a good time, especially when being outdoors.
Super rare to find a hotel like this in Indonesia!
