Grand Mercure Solo Baru

Our room was spacious with large glass windows. The furniture was very complete, plus there was a long sofa. The bathroom was fully equipped with a hairdryer. All the staff were friendly. The breakfast selection was fairly standard, but everything tasted delicious. We also had dinner at the restaurant, and it was outstanding—large portions, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious.

This isn’t my first time stay in Grand Mercure Solo Baru. I stay at your hotel every year during our holidays, and it has always been a wonderful experience. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. Everything was fresh and well prepared esp the orange juice, best 👍🏽
The room esp pillow was sooo comfort.
Also, Thank you very much for your assistance in finding and returning the item I accidentally left in my room. Your prompt response and honesty mean a lot to me.

Excellent service and great value for money. The staff are very attentive and responsive, with fast and helpful feedback at all times. I once left an item behind and it was sent back to me safely and quickly, truly appreciated.
The location is convenient, the rooms are comfortable, and I always receive a room upgrade, which makes every stay even more enjoyable. The orange juice is outstanding definitely one of the best!

I joined Accor Plus on November 27 and was pleasantly surprised to be able to book immediately under the member discount. The hotel also conducted a pre-check-in process, where they duly informed me about the upgrade status. Upon arrival, I was delighted to be given Accor Gold status right after checking in, along with an upgrade to the suite room.
The suite was spacious, well-equipped, and offered a stunning view of Mount Merapi — a sight my wife and I truly enjoyed throughout our stay.
🏨 Room & Comfort.
— Originally booked the Executive Room, but was upgraded to the Suite.
— The suite was large, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, though it felt a little old in style.
— The spaciousness more than compensated, and the room was conveniently located just a few steps away from the lift.
— There was no iron or ironing board in the room, but the staff were very helpful and promptly fetched one for us.
— The view of Mount Merapi added a special touch to our experience.
📍 Location.
— Perfectly situated next to a mall, making it easy to walk over for shopping or dining.
— Very convenient for guests who enjoy having amenities close by.
🛋️ Executive Room Expectation.
— Initially expected access to an Executive Lounge, but learned that the hotel does not have one.
— Discovered that the Executive Rooms are newly renovated and refurbished, which makes them appealing for future stays.

I've stayed at the Grand Mercure Solo Baru twice. It was truly a pleasant experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The service was friendly. The food was delicious. Overall, the service was top-notch. If I travel to Solo again, I'll definitely stay there again.

Firstly, thank you to the Grand Mercure Solo team. Pre-arrival, days before I was supposed to check in, I reached out to the team to ask for a cancellation for one of the two rooms I initially booked. Mba Putri, through call let me know that she needed to confirm first and shortly after the reservation was amended and that reflected through emails as well. Very kind and quick response to my unexpected event, truly appreciate the reservation team behind it.
The hotel is nice, keeping the name of Grand Mercure as meticulous as it could. It was crowded because of the event during the weekend but overall, would love to come back some time in the future. I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. They offered a joint room setup that allowed me to stay comfortably across two rooms, which was perfect for my needs. The front desk staff were incredibly accommodating, making check-in a smooth and pleasant experience.
The beds were very comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the breakfast was delicious, featuring a great variety of options. All the staff were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome throughout my stay.

I booked this hotel without knowing it is exactly beside a mall. As a well known hotel, it really lives up to its expectation in any city, including this one. I wasn't expecting them to really fulfilled my request from an app (connecting rooms and high floor). Really satisfied!
Parking spots are ok, staffs are super helpful. Definitely will stay here again if I come to this city again!

Got upgraded for myself (Platinum member) and for my colleagues. Everythis was good, room at good condotion, everyday I got snack and softdrink.
Bu need to improve on breakfast, the taste and the variety. Traditional food stall need to improve in terms of taste. But in general the breakfast was OK.

Mas Aji help my trip with my family become memorable, he recognise me everytime and call me always by the name. He ensured all my booking rooms are very clean and well organized.

I got upgraded due to Accor's level… executive suite is quite big but bed quality is not good. In room dining is so so…

Top notch service and hospitality. Been here a few times and love to see a lot of things improving since our first stay.
Blue Garnet is a hidden gem. Always have dinner every time we stay.

Pros.
— I'm a Platinum member they gave me a suite room.
— Nice breakfast.
— Good housekeeping.
— Almost every staff can speak English.
— 5 star hotel spa (but the spa is third party)
Cons.
— No executive lounge, so if you are a platinum or diamond member you cant enjoy your benefits like afternoon tea or evening cocktails.
— I waited 45 minutes to eat steak.

It was kind of just okay for a five star hotel. The gym is not 24 hours, only from 6 am to 8 pm. The pool water is too cold, even when solo is scorching hot. The kids playground could be better. The food is good but not exceptional. The room is also nice, but no bathtubs and has a weird design (a window between the bedroom and the bathroom, so you can see your spouse do number twos (? ) ). The channel selection on the TV was kind of lacking. The staff was kind and helpful.

Located in solo Baru, so not in the old city centre. Next to two big shopping malls.
The hotel is decent. Bathrooms are very outdated and do not feel very clean.
Pool is nicely located on the third floor.
We did not have the breakfast or used the fitness.
