Review of Po Hotel Semarang 5*

We stayed at this hotel when it was still Crown hotel back 2014 and it was memorable. So this year (2025) we decided to stay at the same property. But we were disappointed. If it's not for the hotel location & few attentive & helpful staff we probably give them one star.
The check-in process was fast and easy. We were excited with the room view that we didn't notice few defects. I think the management & owning company should do better with the maintenance.
There was leaking on the window during rainy day. We went to the front desk to report, but there is no follow up. On Christmas day the leaking was getting worse, Bella from Housekeeping was very helpful, she went into our room to check the leakage, she wrote down everything and gave us 3 bathroom mats, because the carpet near the window was getting wet. We didn't ask to move into other room because we are checking out the next day and I used to work in hospitality industry, so I want to be considerate especially during high season. But when our request for 1 hour late check out rejected by Adi at the front desk straight away without checking the system I was really disappointed. Especially after with the issues we raised.
Now as I mentioned during our stay some of the staff are very attentive & helpful, here they are : From HK Bunga, Bella & Dio. From F&B (Gris Restaurant, during breakfast) Mutia, Gebby, Adi, Davit, Sofi & special mention for Nadine at the eggs station. From FO Ferlita, Aurelia, & Anastasia. From Concierge Solikhin.
