Hotel Rumi ini cukup dekat dengan kampus Universitas Pandanaran dan Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), ke Undip yang berjarak 2 km cukup ditempuh 10 menit dengan transportasi online. Hotel terdiri dari 5 lantai yaitu parkiran basement, lobby, lantai 1, 2 dan 3 (baru ada perbaikan). Luas kamarnya tidak begitu luas, sekitar 18 meter persegi. Meski tidak begitu luas, ibadah sholat masih bisa dilakukan di kamar. Tidak usah khawatir dengan arah kiblat, karena ada panah penunjuk arah kiblat bagi umat Muslim yang mau sholat. Kamar di hotel Rumi Semarang cukup nyaman dan bersih. Di dalam kamar ada ada 2 single bed, lemari (sayang tidak ada gantungan bajunya, 1 meja kecil, 1 meja besar dan 1 kursi. Selain itu, di dalam kamar ada kamar mandi dengan partisi kaca (untuk yang postur tubuhnya tinggi agak kurang privasi karena kepala dan leher kelihatan dari luar), 2 tempat sampah (di kamar mandi dan di kamar), dan ada jendela tanpa balkon. Jendela kamarnya di lantai 2 langsung menghadap pemandangan Gunung Ungaran di kejauhan. Hotel menyediakan 2 buah handuk, shower (tanpa air panas), toiletries hanya ada sampo dan sabun saja tanpa tersedia sikat dan pasta gigi, dan 2 botol air mineral. Jika menginginkan air panas, di lobby hotel dekat customer service ada dispenser, ada kopi dan teh celup sachet juga. Lokasi cukup strategis, di pinggir jalan yang bisa dilewati mobil, akan tetapi jalannya agak ramai, Bisa beli di luar hotel.
