Villa Tengkek Karimunjawa

This place is heaven on earth! The owner Stephane will make sure u have a relaxed and fun time in he’s house and on the Island. Masturi was not here but Irul made sure everything was in order and planned for the each day. The house itself has everything a luxury villa had to offer, great breakfast, amazing beds, great Wi-Fi and privacy and a view to die for! (Btw:Thanks for all the help when we got our creditcard swallowed in Semarang Stephane)

What a phenomenal place.
Our stay at Villa Tengkek felt like a once in a lifetime experience.
The villa and the surrounding garden, right by the sea, looked just like, if not more beautiful than the photos. We were truly blown away by everything. Especially all of the little details about the villa, the furniture, fresh fruit, plenty of seats in all rooms just to name a few add so much value.
Having breakfast and relaxing on the big terrace were one of our favorite parts about staying here. The thing that probably sets Villa Tengkek apart from so many other places though, is its exclusivity. No other guests staying in bungalows or villas next to yours, which makes it so easy to find peace and relaxation after long days of exploring this beautiful island.
Stephane and his staff are fantastic and made our lifes easier in so many ways. Masturi helped us with the transportation, arranging tours, food, always being there when we had questions of any kind.   Next time, we'll certainly stay longer :)

We had such a wonderful time in the villa. It's located in Kemujan, around 30 minutes ride from the port, so it's not as crowded as the west part of the island. We pretty much had the beach all to ourselves!
The downside is, there's not many nice restaurants around. However, the kitchen is very well-equipped, so when we don't feel like eating out, we asked the staff to help us buy some ingredients and cook our own meal.
The staffs are so kind and helpful. They really tried their best to make our stay worthwhile. The mosquitos are savage. Remember to bring mosquitos repellent.
The villa is perfect if you are like me, just wanting to chill and enjoy the sound of the wave, but if you intend to do island hopping, diving, etc, the villa might be a bit far from the port.
It's still one of the best villas we've ever stayed at. Strongly recommend!

I stayed at this gorgeous villa last week (April 2-7, 2021) with my husband and a good friend. Initially we only rented for a 2 nights but the villa was beyond what we read online that the 3 of us agreed to extend another 3 nights right away.
First off, it was precisely 10m from the beach. As it's located in a bay, there are no waves. Very easy to paddle in and stunning sunrise every morning. It's also very near the airport. (Not too worry, as there's only 3 flights to here in pre-pandemic, there's no noise pollution). Best part is that because it's in the northeast of the island, it's pretty serene and quiet.
Secondly, the traditional Javanese decor made me remember my late grandmother's house. It also had the most astonishing bathroom door! It's usually for front door but I love the genious idea of the owner! There were 2 rooms with large bed, each with bathroom, shower/sink/WC had separators (so 2 people could do their business at the same time), 40' TV w/ Netflix and direct door to the front patio. There was a well-equipped kitchen (perfect for us who loves cooking), a long dining table and so many appliances (water dispenser, microwave, stove, coffee maker, fridge, charging adaptor, etc) that we felt like home in Jakarta. Price-wise, as it could fit 4 people, it was the best deal rather than staying in a hotel.
Lastly, the villa caretakers. Pak Masturi, Bu Siti and Nifin. All 3 were truly genuine people. They were all out in helping us out even prior to the trip.

Amazing villa in Karimunjawa. Overlooking the water with all modern facilities and air conditioning. The caretaker and staff are extremely helpful and make sure your stay is full of adventure and excitement! Short drive from the port and so many activities to do such as Fishing, Island-hoping, Snorkeling, Swimming in many clean beaches around the area, and Trekking in the Mangrove Park. Best beaches and Villa I have visited in Jawa so far! Thanks for sharing this wonderful vacation home with us. See you soon!
