Royal Ocean Resort Karimunjawa

A little far from city center, but worth the trip. 40mins from city.
The view is nice, room is clean and quite big. You can swim directly from the beach to snorkel.
The hotel is facing east, so its nice for sunrise.

All hotels surroundings need to cleaned and maintained regularly. In the bathroom, No water heater and the clogged pump. The views are great. The Wi-Fi doesnt work well despite we dont receive any signal.

Only came here for lunch. The staff was very kind and welcoming, even while we were not staying there. I had the fried fish, which was actually a grilled fish and it tasted so good! My partner had the seafood nasi goreng which was good but not very special. We were even allowed to take a dip in the pool afterwards :)

We stayed in multiple rooms, due to the place being very busy. Couldn't fault any of the rooms. Great size, clean, comfortable. Great bathrooms, spacious.
The pool had the greatest view, good size.
Breakfast was good, but dinners were even better. Recommend the bbq and freshly cooked fish.
The place is a bit far from everything, but we did come here to chill. Therefore, we didn't really mind.

I’ve been traveling around Southeast Asia extensively, and Karimun Jawa is a breath of fresh air compared to the party vibes olike Bali.
Think of Karimun Jawa as quiet little beach town where life slows down and the scenery blows you away. To me is a perfect place for disconnecting and unwinding.
There aren't tons of oceanfront options, but Royal Ocean View did the trick. Clean room, comfy bed, and hot water that actually worked (bonus points). Just FYI, nights here are quiet.
Service could be a bit smoother, but the staff are all locals, which is better. They knew the area a lot so with conversations with them you know where to go to enjoy the best of Karimun Jawa.
Bear in mind Karimun Jawa is still developing, and businesses like Royal Ocean View are creating local jobs, which is a good thing. Your dollar stretches far here — everything's super affordable.
Do you Love traditional furniture? Take a day trip to Jepara — it's Indonesia's woodcraft capital. Otherwise, sign up for an island-hopping adventure. They will serve you lunch by the beach too. Wahh…. The white beaches and crystal-clear water are unreal. Oh there will be lots lots of monkeys so don’t put your food’s unattended. And don’t feed them as well.
Things to Consider:
Karimun Jawa's charm comes with a side of developing infrastructure. Don't expect five-star resorts (yet). Most places are rustic but full of character.
Nightlife is limited. Prepare to get into the peace and quiet night.

Definitely sanctuary place for those who love to stay in the island. Rooms completely clean all your expectation for the price are completed in the room product. The view awesome, activity for fishing available by asking to reception. The staff very helpful especially the manager. He Will love assist you with the service you need. The food upon breakfast acceptable and beyond expectation by the price. Love to stay with my relatives here.

This is beutiful place in Karimunjawa, if you looking something like Maldive, Royal Ocean View is the right choice. Staff are very friendly, food are amazing. Rooms clean, over all the Best Place.

The place itself is not so bad, the rooms are quite nice except for the sticky floor. But the food is not so worth it for the price, imo. The cutlery and plates too were not in good shape, some has cracks and were chipped here and there. Overall, it is a mid place to stay and if you do have more budget, then I recommend you to stay someplace else. Have a nice day ^^

We visited here to have lunch. It took almost 1 hour until we got our food, nasi goreng without sorry or other notifications. And there are some workers smoking just by restaurants. And there are also a male guests smoking inside the restaurant.
The restaurant in this resort is the worst in Indonesia.

This hotel is actually good with a stunning view. The rooms are comfy and equiped with standard amenities. The staff's service and attitudes was excellent as well. But it's too far from the center so beside the beaches and exquisite view, I think there was nothing else. No restaurants or cafes around. And the internet was terrible during my stay. I would recommend this place for those who wants to escape their routines or a honeymoon destinations. The breakfast was so so as well.
Also, they allow smoking in the lobby. I think the management need to change this and provide another area for smoking. Can't imagine if there are kids waiting in the lobby during check in and people are smoking there. That would be so terrible and unhealthy.
