Susan Spa and Resort in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

Where is Susan Spa and Resort located, and what is nearby?

The resort hotel is located on a hillside in the Bandungan area, away from noisy roads, which creates a peaceful atmosphere. The road leading to the hotel passes through narrow lanes with fairly steep climbs, and in some spots, it can be hazardous due to heavy fog. Guests note its proximity to various local Bandungan attractions. The surrounding area features beautiful mountain scenery and fresh air.

How polite is the staff, and how are disputed situations resolved?

Most guests describe the staff as very friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. Special mention is made of manager Stevan, who showed empathy and helped improve service following complaints. However, there is also negative feedback: some guests experienced a lack of flexibility from management regarding booking date errors (refusal of refunds or date changes). Cases of staff indifference were also mentioned, such as employees failing to offer assistance with heavy luggage.

What kind of breakfast and cuisine are offered at the hotel's restaurants?

The hotel offers a varied breakfast featuring rice, Indomie noodles, omelets, porridge, traditional dishes such as pecel, as well as fruit and pastries. Many guests speak highly of the quality of food at the restaurants, calling it delicious and affordably priced. The Sky Garden Cafe restaurant is praised for its great atmosphere and view. Nevertheless, some visitors noted that the breakfast quality is standard and needs improvement, while the service at the egg station can be inconsistent.

How does the Wi-Fi work at the hotel?

Guests note that Susan Spa and Resort features fast and stable Wi-Fi that is easily accessible to users.

What condition are the rooms in, and does their equipment match reality?

Rooms are described as clean, spacious, and modern, especially following updates and renovations. However, opinions are mixed: some guests complain about old furniture in family rooms and discrepancies between online photos and reality (dirty toilets, a damp/musty smell). Technical issues were also noted, such as non-working TVs, difficulties with hot water, and faulty jacuzzis. The mountain and nature views from the balconies are rated very highly.

Is there an elevator in the hotel, and is it convenient to get to the rooms?

The hotel is equipped with elevators; however, reviews mention instances when they were out of service. As a result, elderly guests and those with heavy luggage may find it difficult to move around the property, as there are many stairs in certain areas. The hotel is also noted as being not very accessible for wheelchair users due to the large number of steps.

What pools and wellness services are available on-site?

The resort features a heated pool, which guests particularly appreciate in cool mountain weather. A spa center with professional therapists, a sauna, and a jacuzzi are also available. While some guests were very pleased with the relaxing effects of the treatments, others complained about a malfunctioning sauna and issues with the jacuzzi hydromassage.

Is there an equipped fitness center?

The hotel features an on-site gym, which guests rate as a fully functional and useful part of the amenities.

Is Susan Spa and Resort suitable for families with children?

The hotel is very family-friendly. On-site facilities include a playground and a mini-zoo with rabbits, horses, and birds that guests can feed. Children enjoy spending time in the pool and outdoor play areas. The staff shows care and attention toward young guests, helping them interact with the animals.

What is the overall atmosphere at the hotel, and is there any noise?

Overall, the atmosphere is calm, peaceful, and suitable for relaxation and "healing." However, during corporate events or team-building activities, it can get very noisy due to loud music and MC announcements, disturbing guests in neighboring rooms.

What additional complimentary perks are provided to guests?

Guests mention receiving welcome snacks upon check-in. During holiday periods such as Lebaran, the hotel may offer complimentary spa treatments and special dinners as a courtesy.

Nice mountain view hotel with cool, breezy weather — perfect for unwinding. Loved the amenities, especially the sauna and jacuzzi. The spa treatments they offer are a plus too.
Food was just okay, not great but still considerable for the price. Speaking of price, it’s very good value for what you get.
Would stay again for the view and weather.

I've been visiting this place since 15 years ago, for lunch, dinner and several staycations. I consider Susan resort has A good maintenance effort.
Although currently there are many cafes and resort nearby in Bandungan & kopeng area,
It always feels like home to be back here.
