Pinggala Villa Ubud

This places is recommended to stay in Ubud, quite place, clean and relax surrounding. The women in front desk, very courteous and helpfull! Kiddos! Breakfast nice, overall great stay!

Everything was fine except for my steak. The menu says beef steak, but I was served an ordinary beef fillet, 2 cm thick, full of sinew and gristle, which I couldn’t even finish eating in the end.
It’s not about the money, but it’s not right to advertise one thing on the menu and serve something else on the plate.

Pinggala is a wonderful place to stay! It is located a shortish (20-25 minute) motorbike ride away from the main area of Ubud but this only adds to its tranquility and peacefulness. Facilities are solid, especially the pool which was refreshing and perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring. The food at the restaurant was very good as well. I highly recommend Pinggala for your next stay in the area. If you want to have snacks or beverages for your room I suggest bringing them with you as they are very few stores in that area.

I was a bit unsure of booking this property given the price but I’m so glad that I booked it. I would stay here again whenever I’m in ubud next. The rooms are beautiful and huge. They are very clean. They all come with balcony which has an amazing view. There are a lot of places nearby to eat and discover. Do yourself a favour and just book this property. It’s 30 minutes away from central ubud so do keep that in mind.

Hands down to the best hotel in Ubud.
Well maintained rooms & property, very peaceful, nice green location, though far from main areas but that's the charm of being at this hotel.
Special mention of the staff. They are very considerate about guests; their treatment was exceptional.

Review for the restaurant-amaziinggggg food, super delicious (chicken steak, beef steak, chicken dumplings, smoothie bowls). We’ve stayed in the area and had lunch and dinner for 3 days, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, its freshness and super tasty. Also, great services, super friendly staff. We plan to return and stay at their hotel as well.

Great value and very nice clean place. The food is very tasty, the view beautiful with a laid back atmosphere without the city hustle.
Google maps directions are correct, the road at night looks like you should not go down with a taxi but is able to with a turn around zone at the villa. The sign with the DO NOT ENTER is misleading unless you read it fully. You may drop and pick up with taxi service.
Moped rental is available and the hotel staff is very helpful with getting transportation too/ from he hotel airport and the local area.
English is well spoken for those whom need it and iron and hair dryers available when asked.

The room is extremely spacious and well furnished. Location is great, you can hear the frogs and geckos at night and watch the fireflies in the rice fields across the villa. Restaurant serves delicious food and staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Location is quiet but close (by car/scooter) to some beautiful attractions including Unesco patrimony temples, notorious rice fields, waterfalls, Taro village, elephant sanctuary etc. Recommended!

This is the worst hotel I've ever booked on this trip.
Hotel Location:
The hotel is very remote and poorly equipped, the surrounding area is very desolate, almost no stores, it takes at least an hour to take a taxi to the Ubud market side, the price is around 180k, the mountain road is very rugged, I'm a person who doesn't get carsick to take a taxi to the hotel were shaken to vomit!
Meals:
Breakfast is not a buffet form, there are four packages to choose from, have tried, each package is not enough to eat, breakfast even bread is not renewable, if you choose this hotel, please remember to prepare more noodles, because the restaurant is difficult to eat, the amount of small, and a single choice, the most important is the location of the remote, there is no supermarkets around that can be reached by foot, the store takeaway at least an hour!
Can not eat breakfast in the room, unless you add money to order a floating breakfast.
There is invisible consumption:
2 bottles of water per day in the room, the extra to be paid separately, the room has a small refrigerator, there are six bottles of drinks, there is no price tag, I thought it was included in the room rate, after all, one night is not cheap, the result is that when you check out of the room, you find that the drinks are charged, and the price is 4-5 times the price on the market.

Really surprised with such high reviews. The towels were extremely dirty, not only they were grey but they had stains like if someone washed the street with them. Same bedsheets and pillow covers. Grey with black stains. Once asked the foot towel which housekeeping forgot to replace, the reply was : we will check if available 😳. Yes it was provided but really, if available?!
The breakfast is very basic. Asked for no bacon in eggs and still got it. My husband is Muslim, when I address it, waiter said it’s beef. Really? Menu was saying bacon. Not beef bacon. Kind of turn off.
The stuff is nice but you can’t go far with it.

Really disappointed especially those dirty towels. Not customer oriented hotel either. Made request that we coming for a honeymoon. Zero notes. Big regret.

I could not believe my eyes when I entered this villa. Wanted to stay for one night, but immediately extended my stay. When I sent pictures to my friends they said I took it from stock photos :'D You kinda need a car or a motorbike to get around because it's a bit out of town, but the environment and the rice fields are all worth it. The scenery is beautiful and it was amazing to ride around the area with the motorbike. The staff was super lovely, very attentive and always smiling <3 The chefs really know their deal as well, props to them! Their restaurant serves really high quality meals, I ate there every time. If I'll be back to Bali, I'll definitely stay here again.
