Mesari cottage is the best hotel in Nusa penida island, Amazing service from Bli Wayan Kanta and his wife Wayan Sulastri, They are cooking breakfast for us so delicious and Balinese coffee is perfect, And also have little restaurant the name is "WARUNG FOREST"and Warung Forest also one of the best warung on Nusa Penida island, The food so delicious and fresh juices is perfect, Mojito mocktail, Balinese cocktail is Amazing and really perfect, We are also can enjoyed the beautiful sunrise from Rinjani mountain in Lombok island, Blue ocean, Suana beach, Tamarind beach, green valley, temple on the top hill and Beautiful Lombok island from here, Let's join with us and booking here"So recommended for stay"

During our stay, we noticed a tiny puppy that was in need of care. She was so skinny and clearly had not received much attention. We couldn’t stand to see her in that condition, so we took her to the vet for her first vaccines and a worm treatment. We’re hopeful this will help her become healthier and stronger.
To anyone visiting Mesari Cottage in the future, please show her love and care. She is so small, fragile, and just craves affection. If you can, feed her and keep her safe—she deserves it. This little puppy has so much love to give, and we hope she gets the life she deserves.

Service was exceptional. The host will do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Rooms were clean, food is good and we had a beautiful sunrise view in the morning.

I didn't enjoy their breakfast, wheat plus sugar, no fruits at all. I don't understand why they give tourists so much sugar; none of the locals eat that much poison in the morning. The rest of the stay was good and quiet.

An amazing, affordable place to stay in Nusa Penida. The owner is super nice and attentive. He brought us breakfast to our room every day! The area is quiet and relaxing. The room does not have too much in it but is very clean, and Wi-Fi and air conditioning worked really well! It's only a 30 minute scooter ride from Diamond Beach, and closer to other restaurants in the area. I'm very appreciative of the owner's kindness and hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay here! The owner it’s really charming and attentive, you’ll have everything you need here surrounded by nature and with sea views. It’s a really quiet place and they also make delicious food in their restaurant. Every morning you’ll receive a new breakfast!

Beautiful views at top of a hill. Has a warung across road (not busy) for Breakky, lunch, dinner & more. Loved the chicken curry! Service was great. Wayan (1st son) was very attentive & willingly to help out where possible. Offers tours to east & west side of Nusa Penida, as well. Scooter hire available.
Short walk down the hill to many other warungs & resorts available to eat & swim!
Stayed 7 nights, enjoyed the peace & quiet, beautiful views, local farm life. Cottage was clean, large & bathroom was large too. Air-con (push 'powerful' button for more umpth) plenty cold, clean with plenty of towels. Clothes hangers++
TV wasnt working & hadnt for awhile, hopefully fixed by the time you go there! 😀
Still hard to see skinny dogs & flea-bitten, but.
"Jangles" the friendly pup was adorable! Slept outside my door sometimes!

We spent a couple of days at Mesari Cottage during our stay at Nusa Penida. The cottage was clean, spacious and equipped with everything needed for our stay. There are multiple breakfast options to choose from. The location is calm, close to the nature and all sights on the island are within a close distance. With a short walk you can reach the nearby beach with bars and restaurants. Wayan is the perfect example of the outstanding host. He answered all of our questions and provided instant help when it was needed, and offered us to move to the house with the best view to the ocean when the previous guests left. He also helped taking our clothes to the cleaner and returned them the following day. I highly recommend choosing Mesari Cottage and trying Warung Forest that is also operated by Wayan. Thank you for everything!

I stayed 1 night here and really regret it. If you are planning to stay Nusa Penida definitely recommend areas such as entrance of Diamonds Beach or Nearby Cactus 🌵 Beach Club (a lot of beachfront hotels, resorts, Airbnb). With easy acces to main road.
This place is really far from everything (not walking distance) means you need to rent a bike to arrive. Taxi Price from ferry terminal to cottages $250k to $300k (that’s a lot of $$$ in Indonesia) and ride is less than 20 minutes.
Room doesn’t have fridge and there is no communal fridge, there are not convenience stores nearby so prepare to bring your own food. The famous restaurant next door was running low of everything since they don’t have electricity or water. Breakfast options very limited and slow (20-25 minutes for a omelette!? ). All night can’t sleep because of electricity buzz from a pole located right in front of the room. There is no direct ocean view. You must stand to catch it.
On the positive side: the room and sheets are clean, same with toilet.
This Cottage got a lot of potential but need more passion for hospitality.

We are lucky to find this at the last minute of booking. As others have reviewed this is a great place to stay. Towels, tissues, room everything is in place and very clean. The only con is it is a little distant from port. But it is not a issue just mentioning so you don't have any surprises. But it is also a pro because it is elevated and you get a really good beach view and beautiful sunset. Perfect for stay. Owner is one of the best people I've ever met. He's so humble and has a great smile. Do try to stay here. It's a great stay with great food.

Our trip here was amazing. From the moment we arrived the service and smiles were out of this world. From our first meal at the warung forest, they remembered that my partner did not like eggs. Next morning at breakfast I received an amazing omelette with salad, fruit platter and my partner got an amazing fried bananas with cheese. OMG they were amazing. Every meal we had there was amazing, so traditional and you can tell it was made with love.
We will definitely come back again.
