View from room is gorgeous and room is well kept. The staff are all friendly. After the morning snorkeling activity, we hired the hotel car to go to the Tenganan Peginsingan village and the driver even gave us a complimentary guided tour around the village. Driver was also very patient to drive us around to look for a local seafood restaurant that is open as many restaurants are still closed due to the pandemic. A great place to rest and relax.

A quiet, peaceful, comfortable, beautiful hotel.

Has a good open space and you will get beautiful view direct to the see from your terrace balconi. Love to stay here with singing bird all day long, and the sunset will give you positive energy. Its one of good place for week end gateaway.

Stunning spot to get your lifestyle completed. Peaceful and quiet, most suitable for yoga, taichi and meditation amongst the roar of ocean tide at night. Grassy landscape makes the place complete setting of tranquility and enjoy your stretching exercise. Room is indeed small but cozy enough for two. The foods are superb to our taste. Thanks Chef Sandy and Made Aryana the host and Ibu Suseni the weekend keeper.
Early in the morning you may have the opportunity to see the local fishermen anchoring at hotel front beach after the night ocean harvest. You would love this moment.

Very nice staff. Lempuyung trip and fishing activity is well arranged and interesting. Restaurant SeaSalt is definitely rewarding. Would be perfect if the location is in White Sand Beach. :-p.

We were there for 5 nights, Relaxing resort, great and warm service, amazing sleep with the sound of the crashing waves, very clean comfortable rooms. Just an amazing experiences. Loved the Mt. Bike ride "Cycling to Sanctuary", from Lempuyang temple to White Sand Beach. We'll be back.

Loved our stay. Really nice room, amazing food, lovely pool, and the spa is fantastic. Spa Junkies package is totally worth it. Beach isn’t really a beach but for the sound of the waves and to look at it was really nice. Would definitely revisit this hotel.

Extremely expensive drinks compared to other hotels in the same category. It verges on exaggeration and I am polite. 2 beers, 2 glasses of wine, a bottle of island wine in supper and 2 glasses of a sparkling wine without a bubble. 140 euros!
For Bali it's really very expensive.
Muslims bathing dressed up. It's disturbing.
If you want calm and romance this is not where you will find them.

It gave a rich and complete experience of Bali island with beautiful beach just in front of you and mountain in your back as well as the padi field and all spacious garden with coconut trees and all tropical vegetation. Enjoying the best quality and service in the room plus the whole fresh environment, the breeze from both ocean and mountain, the smell of nature, and yet the foods, the spa and friendly staff. It was an amazing stay in Bali.

A secluded enclave of peace on the beach of Candidasa. The facilities are extremely curated, polished and minimalistic. Rooms are comfortable, although a bit small. Expected more from the restaurant because of its well known fame. Breakfast is very good anyway.

One of my best resort stay experience so far. Started from the warm welcome greeting by the staffs once we arrived and soon followed by the GM introducing himself before we were escorted to our room. Beautiful view comes with the positive energy we felt right away. I really recommend the fishing and lunch package experience arranged in the organic garden by the hotel's team. We were not lucky enough to catch the fishes on this season but the cooking demo by the chef with the lunch set up in the middle of the rice field with the sounds of nature was super excellent! It gave us the unforgetable feeling and will kept in memory for long time, definitely.

The complex is very nice and quiet. We had a room of flat earth with direct access to the pool area in the middle of the greenery. The room was suitably unfortunately felt damp. Restaurant right by the sea and you sit under palm trees. Have used the spa and can only recommend it. The service was very good and the staff super friendly.

We arrived as a last stop in this hotel as part of a Bali round trip.
The hotel is located on a beautiful bay (KeineBadestrand, but was so wanted by us).
Arriving at the hotel, the hotel was first noticed by its self-made service. Unlike other hotels in Bali, the suitcases are only accepted from reception. So far, but not tragic at first. Arrived at the reception and a welcome drink greeted us by the staff. Already during this conversation, the staff recommended us to upgrade the room category for $100 for the 3 nights (we had booked category 3 of 3).
After rejection on our part we were shown our rooms now.
The room was located in a double-floor on the lower floor, which had direct access to the pool area.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The problem was not the uncomfortable darkness of the room, but simply the cleanliness (see pictures! ).
After consultation with the staff, we were then shown the $100 upgrade room (the upper floor on the double floor). This room was identical to the décor (not the main problem as we knew in advance how the rooms are furnished).
Also this room was filthy and untidy! With the further view to other rooms, restaurant, lobby and pool mats, we quickly realized the cleanliness standard of this hotel! The filth (you have to say so hard! ) withdrew throughout the hotel. A stay at this hotel was not an option for us!

Its wonderful place to visit and spend night or two here because it has nice view and its location near beach and has complete facilities that can please you.

I don't know where to start with this one! Best vacations ever and much because of the excellent services of mr. Jordi Jules! The hotel is offering such a great relaxation experience, located on the beachfront in the best area of Bali. Close to the airport AND Agung mountain. Smiling faces on every person from management to the housekeeping. These people really know what hospitality is supposed to be! It was a dream vacation for us, hope to be able to visit again soon… Do not forget to try the SPA, you will love it :)

Paradise on Earth! This was our third time in Bali and it was the best. Very happy to have found this boutique, stylish and earthy hotel. Great rooms, exterior spaces and healthy food. Very good prices also. We will be back!

The Alila is beautifully situated by the sea in a quiet location with a nice clean pool. In the afternoon coffee is served by the pool. At the pool bar you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive and quick. We have noticed this on our tour through all of Bali!
The breakfast is fresh, rich and delicious.
We had a clean, spacious, nicely decorated room in the eg with covered terrace and over the lawn direct access to the pool, pool bar and the sea. Unfortunately, hardly any beach is available. No one at all! Swimming in the sea is only a conditionally possible.

We had an amazing time here. Rooms are basic but then again you would spend most of your time outside. Incredibly friendly staff, they would always remember your name and allergies (if any) and go beyond to meet your needs. There isnt a real beach, but the pool makes up for it. A lot of free extra's like yoga or thai chi sessions, afternoon tea, movie under the stars, dive initiation in the pool, traditional dancing, … Another plus is they really try to be as ecofriendly as possible — no plastic waste in the room facilities, no plastic bottles for water. Would highly recommend!

As others are mentioning, one must first emphasize the staff, all of whom are super friendly and more than prepared to cater to ones every whimzy. Micro faults over which one could nitpick simply melt away with prolonged presence here and the overall sense of serenity which wraps you like a warm blanket.

From the moment we arrived, this hotel was simply beautiful, from the truly dedicated team of mostly local staff to its amazing setting and special feel with all rooms and suites having a view of the sea and the central pool. (Special mention to Weda in reception and Winda in the lovely restaurant…both superb assets of the hotel and yet I hesitate to narrow it down seemingly so selectively, but all guests will get their favourites from this lovely team and depends on who is working during your stay. ) To quote: “On Bali’s east coast, the smooth basalt pebbles clatter like maracas as waves rake the shore. ” Here on this relatively undeveloped corner of Bali, locals sift the black pebbles for coral on the water’s edge. Touts, tacky beach bars and tourist hordes are nowhere to be found. Alila Manggis is one of the few resorts in this tranquil area between the Badung Strait and Mount Agung, sacred to Hindus and Bali’s highest peak. It is the perfect place to clear your mind and just soak up the sun poolside with the waves breaking metres away. A good book, sunblock, fancy shades and bikini. You're good to go! Aman junkies like me will be interested in the history of this property: Hotel owner Franky Tjahyadikarta fell in love with the island’s east coast more than twenty years ago on diving trips and soon bought a 2.3 hectare beachfront coconut grove near the village of Candidasa.

First steps in Indonesia during our honeymoon, everything was excellent, from the reception (cocktails), to the small ones present in the room. Quiet, nice pool, ocean accessible (even if not a beach)

The most beautiful hotel on Bali. Very peaceful and calm place. So different from the other crowded part of island. We felt as a special guests. Very surprising was transfer from the airport by hotel's driver. We were treated as a pair during the honey moon.

Hideaway closest to the Bali's nature. We spent a very romantic night there and wish we had spent more nights. Well-maintained garden, lovely room, spectacular pool, and breathtaking mount Agung scenery from the beach. Breakfast and dinner were awesome. Thanks to their friendly manager and professional staffs who made our day. Definitely will come back for a nostalgia.

We booked 4 nights and ended up staying for 7! Had the best time — a totally relaxing experience. The staff were exceptional — very friendly and accommodating. Our room was lovely with sea and pool views… Miss that pool! So much space to float and relax… Spa was world class … location on the edge of the beach … Listening to the waves while having a 90 minute massage … Bliss … Thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking to detox, destress or hanging with your partner … it's hard to leave …

Nice, relaxing little place. Quite far from the action, so really let's you relax. They have a nice pool, which they keep immaculately clean. Have never seen a pool so clean.
