We recommend everything about this hotel and location. We stayed for 5 nights in May 2018 and just loved Amed and the choice hotel Hotel Santai Bali we hope to come back soon.

We had a great time here I would definitely recommend it and we will return.

We were last night down here and eating here, and I've never had this bad experience, the service of the service, the service of arrogant, and would react to the food, and I would say that I would say that the food is cold and there is no gravy/head to the touches, it is just boring, hoping that you will not get some dining in the very bad place we have travelled around in the Bali for four years, and tried a little bit of each, but never as bad as this is not recommended. Wow! I don't know how you can give a bad review to this place. This was a great discovery for us. A hidden jewel. Great service and food. Really cosy cabins and a very layback relax site. You can snorkel right in front of the beach and enjoy a beautiful sunrise in the morning. They can organize massage or any activities you want. Our only regret was to stay only one night. Special note to luxury travellers. This a cabins resort in the wild. Dont't expect a Ritz Carlton experience. For all other experienced travellers, you will fall in love with this place.

Great place in Amed! The rooms were lovely and the staff was just so friendly. The restaurant in the hotel was particularly good too! I do recommend.

Attention attention attention! do not stay here! ants in bed and in our luggage. Stained sheets. Ac sucks. We stayed here for two nights. When we first entered our room we were not the happiest as the doors didn't close properly and the bathroom was only partly covered by a roof. This was okay. We thought we would make the best of it. The next morning when they changed our sheets they were STAINED. We requested new sheets be placed however these sheets were also stained so we covered the sheets with a beach towel and went to bed. We woke up to ANTS in our BED and LUGGAGE. We spent two hours cleaning out all of our luggage and spraying everything down with ant repellent. There is no telephone to call staff for requests like new towels. The AC is so bad they shouldn't even bother having one. Some travel sites rate this hotel as a 4 star hotel. That rating is way to high for this hotel. It's at best a 1 star. I must say however the manager did give us complimentary 30 minute massages, free lunch excluding drinks and paid for our fare to the harbor. The manager was very nice and sorry it happened but I would still never stay in this hotel again.

Staying at Santai Hotel is truly a one-of-a-kind experience you'll want to repeat over and over again! I fell in love with the gorgeous sea view from our room, the stunning pool and the amazingly huge, awesome bungalows complete with canopy-style beds. Make your way here to feel like you're really apart of the Balinese jungle!

Had a great stay at Santai Hotel, location is perfect just next to the beach. You can hear the calming sound of the waves and relax by the pool or on your bungalow terrace. Rooms are spacious, a nice combination of traditional wood & bambu bungalows with yet a touch of luxurious comfort. Hotel gives attention to recycling matters too.

Very stylish and cozy rooms. Kitchen is at your disposal, everyone’s very polite and helpful + breakfast pancakes are the bomb! Close to Balangan Beach. Overall a very good value and would highly recommend.

Always great food here. Western food and cold beer. Chairs a little uncomfortable for such a fine establishment.

The choice of this quiet romantic little resort was easy, it has to be in Amed, close by to Fast Boat on the Gili Islands but not on a rushy main street. It's located on the black sand beach. It might be worth next time to spend there an extra Day for local area discovery especialy connected to diving. The hotel itself is nice, the hats are specias to easily accomodate 4people, the upper roof is a bit smaller but ok, bathroom is nice, extraordinary is the open roof. The pool and surounding garden is awesome. The only small disapointment came from a kitchen in the restaurant where the curry wasn't any special. In general, yes, this hotel is worth to visit.

Lovely place but they quote a price according to the customer. Once they figured that I was not a local, neither a caucasian, they charged me sky high rates! The restaurant was good though.

Spacious wooden bungalows 20meters from the beach. 3 of them have a sea view. The outdoor bathroom is nice and clean. The hotels restaurants is good without being exceptional and there's nice restaurants nearby (try the Galanga but book before). Note that the hotel is a bit outside Amed so you'll need a scooter to get there (you can rent scooters from the Warung up the road). The beach is a pebble beach, not suited for sunbathing, Ameds beach has real (black) sand.

Very nice hotel and great restaurant. The Balinese type bungalows are great and large enough. Missed one star for the sometime noisy road behind.

Nice place to stay! German is such a good owner recomending and telling you everything that you need. We loved our stay there, highly recommended! Wish to be back now.

Perfect spot to hang out in the south of Bali German is super nice, so you can have an awesome time there, doing some parties or surf with him :)

Most amazing host named 'German' very helpful and informative about the area. Well recommended for both location and service.

The Ocean view room was very noisy as its right by the road which made it hard to sleep well but the pretty grounds and pool are right on the beach and the snorkelling was good. Too bad because the Toraja style huts were really nice and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! There was also a funny smell in the room and a bit of a sewer smell by the pool. The service and food were great but overall this place is nice but somewhat pricey.

Great little place, the food is very good and a nice variety in local Western and Mexican. Very tasty and the staff were friendly and attentive. At the end of the evening they even gave my wife and I a lift back to our accommodation on the back of motor bikes for free. The only little I would say is its a little pricey. But the quality of food and atmosphere was very nice. Would recommend.

Very nice and relaxing hotel right next to the beach. Very friendly staff and decent food at the restaurant. The rooms are big and clean. There's also a nice swimming pool where you can relax and have a drink.

The view is nice but the service is not good. They served one our dishes about 15 minutes and still charged us the service fee. We mentioned this to the waiter and he said he couldn't change this because the system wouldn't allow him to. Please go to another place close by there are many others restaurants that are much nicer.
