Loved my stay at Champlung Sari. My room was cleaned thoroughly every day, and the breakfast was very good.

I highly recommend it. I stayed there for 8 nights. I was disturbed by noisy and loud neighbours the second night (1 am). I've informed the manager and he offered me much better a room all around, with view on the fields, on the top floor at no extra charge. Really nice room with huge bath and separate glass shower, and quiet with sounds of nature day and night, and with the monkeys coming on my deck, the rising sun, the iguana swimming in the creek and the herons flying in the field, and birds singing. I could finally relax there as Ubud is crazy hell busy and noisy. Super friendly and helpful staff.

This place is perfect if you want to have a "monkey" experience and to have some pictures with them. The rooms are big but very dark so it's kind of depressing. The hotel looks like it was made 30 years ago and not renewed. They didn't put feet towel in the bathroom. The bathroom is so dark too. The swimming pool are nice and clean. We had a very very bad experience this morning, they came at 9 am to clean the room! Also please don't go there for the overpriced massage, the masseuses have no experience and they didn't clean our feet before massaging (and they try to massage the face after…) the masseuse had long nails and really it was one of the worst massage experience I've ever had. The room and the sheet were dirty and smells bad! Also the breakfast was a disappointment too, untasy and not varied. So if you want to see monkey, book here, if you want to get tan and swim too. But no breakfast and no massage. Also ask them to not come at 9 am to clean the room and to give you a feet towel!

The staff is super nice. Always a guy around to protect the visitors cause of the monkeys :D breakfast costs abt. 7 euro — definitely worth it. Loved the coffee! The room was clean, only needed to take care to close the door, that the monkeys dont steal anything, which was awesome though. Definitely the right stay when u love monkeys. Also pools are available and clean as well.

The hotel may be above average, but the service is Outstanding! I only stayed here for two nights — but one situation that I would like to share is when I went down to the shops early one evening and managed to wack my foot into the uneven footpath in the streets causing some major issues (Could still walk, but much blood and damage). When I arrived back at the hotel, the staff noticed what I had done and went about quickly to get dressings and disinfectant to clean the wound understanding what COULD occur at a later stage. The care and attention that I received from the staff that night (Would have been about 4-6 people) was above and beyond what anyone could expect, and this alone would bring me back here in the complete confidence. There is more than the size and location of a room that dictates a 5 star review — but this hotel deserves it due to service alone. Thankyou (PS — no infection on my foot at a later date. )

Such an amazing stay here! My boyfriend and I stayed 4 nights, and loved the company of the local monkeys. Experienced excellent service from all the staff, always checking up on us and seeing if there was anything else they could do. Perfect location for exploring ubud.

Location good, rooms a bit outdated but lovely & clean & quite spacious. We were worried about the monkeys as we had read on previous posts about the Hotel being over run with them. To our delight they weren’t in our room lol. We did see a couple down by the Pool & in the tree’s from our Balcony. All over a great place to stay Jan & Deb.

Great hotel with an amazing service. The monkey come to the territory which creates an amazing experience and vibe. The only thing is location. Its a bit far from the centre, you have to walk 10-15 mins.

Cons: 1. Some rooms have broken faucets, no hot water. 131 for example.
2. Old plumbing, toilet gurgled and water poured continuously, without earplugs prevented sleep. The request to fix ignored.
3. Towels are hard and frankly smells of Bleach 4. Breakfast for one hundred rupees is meager but acceptable 5. Spa in 50% of cases no, depends on the master and time-do not come last, they are in a hurry home and instead of an hour crumple 35 min.
And now the pros: 1. Your morning will probably start with watching the monkeys. This is awesome. They're sitting right on your balcony. 131 and 133 room guaranteed. Reviews about the fact that they are aggressive write idiots ignoring the request not to go out in the afternoon on the balcony with food.
2. In the room a separate entrance through the Arch 3. The territory is swing. Quiet and very beautiful. That the center of Ubud is a luxury.

Monkeys are everywhere because this hotel is on the Monkeys Forest Street. But the monkeys was cute, not as aggressive as the monkeys at the Uluwatu. Quiet and peaceful place. Near market and a lots of restaurants, streetfood. Next to monkeys forest. It also has 2 pool, both nice with pretty cool view.

Loved the monkeys here! Being in their natural environment. Very entertaining to watch. They are not here all the time. Only in mornings and around 2-4 pm. Rooms were ok. We booked 6 rooms. They said they upgraded us to deluxe rooms. The rooms were just ok. The toilet was rocking. The shower flooded. The AC wasn’t working. Would not recommend the hotel if your looking for a nice room to stay in. The staff here are excellent.

Very nice room. Very good service But have to be careful from monkeys, because hotel is next to Monkey forest.

The hotel is full of monkeys. I advise you not to carry edible products — take away. Also there grow red plants.

Surprisingly very good hotel. Has got an amazing feel to it. Each room has got Balinese styled gate. Rooms are spacious. The general area is beautiful. Right opposite of monkey forest. In the middle of everywhere in ubud. One thing, monkeys roam around in the hotel and also outside your room. Which is another thrill for me actually. Breakfast decent.

New rooms are great, next to monkey forest, dont leave stuff on the terrace or balcony, friendly staff.

Best value for money. Great garden and pool area. Breakfast included and have monkeys walking around throughout the day which is really nice. Room gets cleaned daily with refreshments and clean bedding and towels.

Awesome place to stay at ubud. Everyone should try there spa service its very relaxing and refreshing. This hotel located in a place from where u can easily access to whole ubud.

27 year old 3 star property. Has a rustic charm. I found a great deal online that made my stay even sweeter. Has 2 swimming pools and is right next to the monkey forest. All essential shops, restos and Ubud market are close by. Missed the 5 star as it being an old property misses the new smart keys sysytem, new led tv's etc + the hot water was just warm — but it's definitely manageable.

Beautiful resort. Every ting was fine but only one thing monkey are more.

Enjoyed my stay immensely and watch the cheeky monkeys interact with each other. Clean rooms and loved the pool and garden area. One down side is the arragance of people who believe that they can leave their towel on the pool loungers and walk away for one or two hours and not allow other guests to use them is appalling. Either introduce a policy that After 30 minutes that you will remove their items or provide more loungers.

-hygiene: not so clean especially toilet infrastructure: very bad and, for example, illogically built-operation: friendly and take good care of the guests Z. T. Too many staff where "just standing around"-location: very central, next to Monkey forest-> for breakfast come many monkeys to visit (are harmless and do nothing) — Wi-Fi depending on location very bad.

Amazing place. The staff is very friendly and it's located close to everything. Really beautiful place.

We went there in dec'16. It's a very nice place to stay. Confy rooms with nice surroundings. Very co-operative staff. They prepared a fruit basket for us at 2am for breakfast for return journey. It's a street across monkey Forest which is a very scenic place to visit and it's in the main market. Ubud palace and Saraswati temple are at walking distance. It's right across Hotel Ganesha where they serve Indian food (a rare thing in Bali). Few massage places are nearby.

I arrived at this resort at the end of my Bali stay, and wish I had spent my whole holiday here! Wonderful surrounds, clean spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The grounds are pristine and entertaining watching the monkeys in the morning and at night. Would recommend to anyone who just wants to relax. I can not rate the Purnama Spa highly enough, the ladies here are wonderful and better than any spa I have been to in Australia.

Third year in a row we've been there. Only 3.5star. But has it's own charm central to every thing. Beware lots of monkeys. Breakfast basic but okay. Stayed in deluxe room good Wi-Fi in room with safe. Pass year's no Wi-Fi and safe.

Nice place. Good breakfast. Close to the monkey forest and the center. No hair dryer and bad Wi-Fi.

Other than losing a phone… amazing place and close to the beach.

Look out for the monkeys that sometimes come inside the hotel area! Great hotel with great breakfast in a great location otherwise.

An awesome hotel in the heart of Ubud. Really comfortable rooms, awesome pools and the best high light of this hotel ist the morning fight for breakfast with the monkeys. If you want some real entertainment you need to come here — promissed! The monkeys from the monkey forest next to it also know about the breakfast buffet :D It will be impressiv and don't worry, the staff will protect you and you can always take a new bun if you lost the fight :D.

Very good hotel with monkeys we didn't find it very nice and its city center.

Lovely and couzy place to stay close to heaps of different shops, cafes, restaurants, spas, and historical monuments and temples. Close to Monkey Forest so you'll have morning visitors trying to trick you to get a banana or a cinnamon bun for breakfast. If you care about wildlife you'll enjoy sharing with them. I'd surely go back again and again. Only one bad thing, no good Wi-Fi.

Nice place to stay, bathroom is very good, and the environment is so homy. But beware, there are monkeys from sacred monkey forest that might come into the surrounding, keep out a plastic bag from their sight otherwise they will come and steal it from you. Anything else this place is very recommended.
