Traditional style accommodation but modern inside. Great location to the main rd in Ubud. The surroundings by the pool are amazing. Lots of steep steps to get to and from pool and lots of stairs in accommodation. I wouldn't recommend eating there. Staff were very friendly but need to work on their English to help with communication.

The cottages are set in beautiful gardens and only a ten minute walk to the main shopping/restaurant area. Its a pity that a little more care wasnt taken with cleaning and other small things otherwise this place would be perfect. The mattress wasnt very comfortable, room was a bit small but the staff are very freindly and eager to help.

Had a wonderful stay… Clam place to relax for a family. Excellent service by the staff. Very clean Rooms and bathrooms. Helpful staff. Highly recommended place for families…

Nice, quiet place in the middle of Ubut. A little bit old and with a millions of insects, ants, spiders… even in the room.

Amazing place! It is very well located, close to the main street but apart from the ton. The hotel is beautiful full of greenery and with lots of charm. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very nice. The hotel staff is a family and they give a great deal. Of the food we only tried the breakfasts and they were pretty good, without much variety as in other hotels but more than acceptable and they bring it to the villa at no cost.

Very clean. Very friendly staff. Very green and generally a beautiful basic piece. Daily new towels, room service, 3 breakfasts to choose from. Great pools. Quiet location and yet walk fast in the rifless of the main road.

The overall experience was nice. Very beautiful hotel and very nice room. There was hardly any crowd in the hotel so peaceful and quiet. Only bad thing was that the ac was not working properly and when we complained the staff asked for extra money to upgrade to another room. All we wanted was some air conditioning : (

We stayed for 3 nights at Alas Petulu Cottages in January. The room was called one bedroom villa. The room was very clean and good looking, with an excellent bathroom. There is plenty of space in the rooms and the decoration style is pleasantly minimalistic. A private yard is included, however it is tiny but still adds a nice touch to the look of the room. The general area is also well kept, with staff attending various landscaping tasks throughout the day. The public pools are very clean as well. The staff is extremely friendly and accomodating, and speak enough english to help you with general questions. The breakfast includes 3 options to choose from and all of them are big enough to get your day started. Location is right around the edges of Ubuds center, so there are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The only bad thing about the rooms was that mold was present in 3 of the rooms our group occupied, but what can you expect during rain season in the middle of a jungle.

"one bedroom villa" is a bedroom & bathroom and an outside terrace with a table within a shared garden and pool. There's also a small sitting area inside where it is air conditioned. The bathroom is large with both a bathtub and shower, sink, table and wardrobe. Kettle and tea/coffee making facility but no kitchenette. Supplied; soap, shampoo, shower cap, toothbrush. Room had a unpleasant musty smell, maybe from lack of airflow or damp, not sure. But it hadn't gone by the next day. Bed has mosquito nets. well kept and attractive communal "zen garden". With large swimming pool and gazebos. I sat in a gazebo with my laptop, but sadly the Wi-Fi signal was weak. Wi-Fi signal also so poor in the room that most of the time I could not even connect at all both my phone or my laptop. breakfast was good. Choice of western or Indonesian consisting of; fruit juice, 2 eggs any style, bacon, tea/coffee, toast & jam OR fruit juice with nasi goring (fried rice with an egg on top). Staff really helpful.

A peacufull home living accomodation in ubud area.

Great location, walking distance to the center. Their pool was relaxing, especially in the morning, they even let my friend use the pool at 9 pm when we just arrived and needed to refresh, and the staff agreed to wait until she finished. The bed waz comfortable and each room has bathtub even if you book the most basic one. Breakfast was good, you can take it at their restaurant or ask the staff to send it to your room or to the pool, wherever you want it. I loved seeing their temple at night, it was beautiful. Their garden was well-maintained… really nice to enjoy in the afternoon after you wandering in the city.

Great little hotel close to the center. The pool is super nice and quiet with some little table to eat/drink something. Staff are super friendly and nice. You an also rent your bike here.

Nice view cools experience.

These cottages were so nice and cozy. The rooms were nice with big bath tubs in each and the grounds were kept very clean. The pool was lovely and the entire place was very quite. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Clean. Beautiful. Quiet. Private.

We stayed here 5 nights and it was great. The place is set out in such a way that you rarely see anyone else who is staying here. The staff are very friendly and not at all in your face and they keep the place in perfect condition. It feels like you are staying in a hundreds of years old kind of palace while still having everything "modern" you need. At first it felt like it was a but far from the main streets but it really isn't and the nights are so quiet it is worth what really is nothing more than 5 minutes extra walk which the kids didn't really like at first. This is an ideal place to stay with family or just couples/singles they cater for all. I will be back for sure.

Excellent value for money for this small hotel of only 4 guest rooms, a villa and two swimming pools. It's like being alone, surrounded by calm. The staff is very attentive and is practically in the Centre, near the shops and restaurants of Ubud.

Very pretty biased cottage in the heart of the town of ubud. The owners are very welcoming and very helpful.
