Lovely staff, beautiful villa with lots of room for lots of people.

What a fantastic place, perfect for families with kids and couples without.
The staff are great, accompanied by a great setting and relaxing place.
Both the bar and restaurant have an awesome selection and a good price.
I think my family will be coming back to HVL for year to come.
Till next year HVL, I can’t wait.

Had wonderful relaxing time here, very traditional Balinese, the staff were amazing so helpful and kind, especially little Henny she made us feel right at home.

Lovely and very helpful staff, great food and breakfast, great location, rooms are beautiful and cleaned, gorgeous tropical landscape and peaceful resort! Only thing I wd say needs improvement are the cocktails. I highly recommend it!

Nice hotel. On the older side but clean and friendly staff. Food ok. Nothing special. Pool area nice. More beds would be good. Steps into pool are steep. When asking reception to order taxi. B specific that you want a blue bird. 1st time we got a blue bird 2nd time dodgy taxi. No meter. Over charged and dropped us at totally wrong place. Would stay here again.

The area is not large but the rooms are. Very lovely place with great environment. They have various types of rooms and God, those rooms have so many closets. But for good reason : making sure you don't have your stuff scattered around your path. Their superior is also nice and comfortable. Complete with bath up, safe box and the/coffee plus boiler pot. You can also have 2 rooms connected with 2 Superiors if you have more than 2 people or with you adult kids. Deluxe is definitely fantastic! They provide you with day bed which you can use if you have more than 2 people with you. Let's say like a friend visit for example. Their outdoor bathroom also so amazingly beautiful and peaceful. What I like from deluxe is : the kitchen. They provide you with stove and fridge also equipments. Good for family or friends gateway. They also have public pool, playground and spa. I like the fact that between rooms and other area is not far which mean their area are not so big but the room still have privacy you need and comfortable at the same time. Amazing!

It’s a great hotel, very well organised, beautiful pool, large rooms (mine had a big balcony, overlooking the pool) big, comfy beds. I love the villas they have as hotel accommodation — looks fab and creates a nice atmosphere. However, I think they should improve how they clean taps though, all with lots of limescale. Fruit in the room — nice touch. Breakfast selection could be a bit more creative as in Bali you have an amazing choice and inspiration of healthy breakfast options, so I feel like the hotel could be up to the same standard. Overall enjoyed my stay and would be happy to return!

Very quiet and spacious location. Room was excellent with outdoor shower a new and interesting experience. All of the staff were very friendly and professional. Great pool area. Easy walk to shops and restaurants.

POSITIVES: clean and well-maintained, genuinely friendly staff who get to know you during your stay. Smallest rooms are large, bright and good value (at USD60) ; large rooms are enormous (and worth the extra). Peaceful garden/grounds, with abundant palms/orchids/pools to look out onto. Excellent buffet breakfast, varied choice regularly replenished. Excellent base for 2-week family holiday. Mainly Oz/Brit guests, but an interesting mix of families (young to teens) and couples (20s-60s). Restaurant has good value 3-course BBQ buffet nights (IDR125k+). Would stay here again (and we hope to! ) NEGATIVES: Restaurant is quiet (and a touch expensive), mainly due to abundant eateries within 10 minutes walk. Disappointing cocktails; Happy Hour too early at 4-6pm. Laundry is way too expensive (lower your prices and more people will use). Bathroom needs updating, and we're not fans of over-bath showers (although this was good, with a steady temperature and lashings of hot water). overall: 5/5.

Although a very good location bin the heart of Seminyak, the Hotel is run down and needs an upgrade. Breakfast was limited and the service could be better.

Love the place. We stayed for 6 nights in a deluxe villa… extra large bed and additional large "day bed". Room very spacious… it was on the upper level and it has a balcony… beautiful oasis in the middle of Seminyak chaos. Lovely pool… nice buffet breakfast… room service and lovely, always smiling staff. Bed not so comfortable bit to hard for my liking. Safe available in the wardrobe… Restaurant bit overpriced for the food selection and quality. Pool open til 11pm. Have not seen a single mosquito and maybe 2 flies max. They regularly spray for insects around he plants. There is a beauty salon… 60 min deep tissue massage only $22 australian… and just to add there are squirrels in the trees and different species of birds around singing lovely songs in the morning… overall, great experience…

It's not really the kind of place you go to if you're looking for luxury, but if you just need a bed to sleep in in a great location with some really friendly staff, this is where you should stay. Also keep in mind the breakfast isn't even that good.

We stayed here for 5 days and we chose the deluxe cabin. The surroundings are beautiful and you don't sense the busy street just outside the area. We would return here.

Great relaxed villa style hotel with a fantastic pool and swim up bar. Buffet breakfast has great variety and food quality is an A plus. Grounds are beautiful and give you those well needed tropical vibes. Central and close to massage spas, restaurants and shops.

Good hotel, friendly staff, at check-in found a weak pressure of hot water — called the reception, very quickly came the master and all fixed. We slept through the first breakfast — we prepared individually omelet — tea and pancakes without co-payments. Large room, large balconies, beautiful view from the room, green not very large area of the hotel, the pool is small, but it is always empty in the evenings, swimming in the evening is officially impossible (as elsewhere), but no one forbids. There are rings and balls for water basketball. There is a jacuzzi outside and a bar in the pool. Live music in the evenings at the bar sometimes. Massage, toilets on site. Around the corner at once a bank with a good rate, a cheap massage. It's 10-15 minutes to the beach on foot. Breakfast: soups (chicken/tom-am), omelets, pastries (fire doughnuts! ), fruit, juices, chicken/fish, rice, noodles, vegetables, greens, fried potatoes, fried bacon, sausages. The monotonous is pretty but delicious. Squirrels run around the territory and chirp on the balcony of the bird in the morning. Clean normally, shampoos, soap, gel — in good quantities. Tea coffee powdered milk water daily. A welcome compliment to the fruit. Rent a car without insurance 1200 rubles (growth) per day.

Nice hotel, its green grounds, from the balcony is a beautiful view. There are a lot of cafes and shops around, a cheap supermarket (Alphamarket), inexpensive massage. Breakfast buffet, the choice is not that huge but there is.
Wi-Fi is very weak! Don't count it.

Green environment with traditional Lumbung style as perfect gateaway from the hustle Seminyak street. Staff were helpful and friendly. Affordable price.

We visited Vila Lumbung several times as my Brother in Law was staying there with his son whilst we all visited Bali recently. We had a BBQ Banquet that my B-inlaw invited us to which was nice and relaxing by the pool. The pool area was large which consisted of a safe pool area for young kids with basket ball ring, it included bridges that walked over the pool areas that took you down to the lower pool which had a swim up bar. There is an additional bar that backs back into t he eating area from the swim up bar that has a handy pool table whilst enjoying a cocktail which we used regularly. This pool area was a lot deeper and was for adults. Adjacent to the spa was a waterfall which you could walk through and jump into the pool through the water which the kids found to be a lot of fun. The rooms where nicely presented. My B-inlaw took out two different rooms over his stay which gave us a good look at what was on offer. He originally stayed in a twin share almost hotel type room it was however, a little bigger than a normal hotel room. It had a balcony and generous sized bathroom. His last three days he stayed in a bungalow type room which was much more spacious bigger TV more sitting area and porch entertaining area out the front of the room. The hotel had a playground for the kids and the lush gardens made it very tropical and green. The staff where helpful and organised drivers and other activities as required.

When we go abroad, we are afraid that the photos do not really reflect the truth. Here, the hotel corresponds exactly to the photos, everything is paradise!
Added to that, the staff is fabulous, super friendly and very rider.
The hotel is located about ten minutes from the beach and is close to some shops.

A heavenly hotel and a staff at small care for us, they even made a surprise cake for my fiance's birthday. The rooms are sublime and atypical, the pool and its pool bar are hard to leave…

I stayed in a deluxe room which was very large, clean and comfortable. The pool area is lovely but there aren't enough sun loungers for everyone. The food in the hotel is very poor though so be prepared to go out of the hotel to eat. For a 4* hotel, I expected more from the restaurant. As you need to go out to eat, the location of the hotel isn't the best as you'd have to walk/taxi to the main restaurant area.

Im giving this hotel two stars for the location and size of the pool only. The food is not very good and personally think is overpriced for the quality. The bathrooms and the towels are literally hostel quality and in serious need of an update — the towels are grey and the bathroom plug was blocked. The bed is comfortable though. They staff seem to move quicker when they have your bill to sign for than they do when they are serving you but overall they are pleasant enough. My partner and I stayed here because its quiet only to find out the day before we need to get up for the airport (5am) they have a band playing that may as well be in your room until 10pm. Its so loud! No consideration whatsoever for other guests! Less than impressed. Also swimming pool chlorine is too high and tinted some of my hair green! Id shop around before staying here. Wont be coming back or recommending.

2nd time that me and my partner stayed here and as the last time it was amazing, the best pool set up and swim up bar with waterfall, The rooms have ice cold aircon and comfy beds, and in the morning the all you can eat buffet of food is really just wow! I love this place.

Okay place to stay, Its dated could use a freshen up! Comfortable bed and pillows. Pool was beautiful. Responsive staff. Nice buffet breakfast. Bathroom clean was below average needed a good scrub. … towels were no longer white they were an old off white colour… I wore thongs in the shower. Air conditioner broke down (was fixed but constantly dripped water on the floor. ) what ever you do, do not get your laundry washed through this hotel. It cost us $85aud. This was a major RIP off! Outside LAUNDRY cost $10AUD.

Beautiful Balinese decor throughout the resort. Very clean. Large size of pool and pool bar has great selection of drinks. Staff are knowledgeable & friendly. Breakfast buffet serves extensive selections of a both Indonesian & western food. Quiet place but has everything.

The hotel is nice — we were in a deluxe suite. It was starting to feel a bit old. Location is about a 10 minute walk from town. I would stay here again, as it was nice feeling a bit removed from it all.

Fantastic hotel. Stayed in the ground floor bungalow which was very nice and perfect for a couple. One of the girls, Asti, was just wonderful. She was so sweet and loved to chat to us and help us with anything we needed. All the guests were commenting on how lovely she is! The pool area is really nice and quiet (we stayed in March) so we always got a bed. The staff are all really friendly and the rooms clean. Highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful the best pool, three levels plus a whirl pool. Highly recommend, will be going back in 6 months time, can't wait.

Beautiful gardens, fabulous pool and wet bar. Very friendly staff who will go out of their way to assist in any way. Tranquility guaranteed with superb massages and spa treatments at very affordable prices. Fresh breakfasts in a lush garden/pool setting. Couldn't afford to do the same at home! 5 mins. To sublime eateries, very safety conscious.
