You just forget an ESSENTIEL aspect of the Bali Oberoi : it's amazing staff! Each of them, at all levels, are the most agreeable persons I have ever met in a hotel. I just spent seven heavenly days in this place. The kind of hotel you never forget in your life, because it is so unique : not only the location (there are a lot of hotels in Seminyak now), it's the space, the respect of Balinese authenticity, the total integration of the houses in the nature, the incredible pool service. It's not cheap, but worth every euro/dollar I spent there.

All the little details in the service… They really want to make your stay here memorable. They are working hard to have you as a return customer. Any, of course, the grounds and rooms are exquisite.

Cannot say enough amazing things about our stay here. The staff was great attentive and super friendly. Wonderful personal touches and beautiful compound. Will come back.

One of the most amazing hotels I ever had the pleasure to stay in. The gardens and all the facilities are gorgeous. I was overwhelmed by the friendliness of the hotel employees that are trying to make every second of your stay as special as possible. The atmosphere and the sunsets at the beach are truly amazing. Fantastic, from check in to checkout. The hotel is immaculate, the staff are friendly and can not do enough for you. We were addressed by name for the duration, it's amazing how quickly the staff know and remember you. We also had an opportunity to talk to the manager, it's always good to get the personal touch. I will book here when returning to Bali, and I'd certainly recommend it.

The very definition of a five star hotel. There are so many positive traits to write about. From the cleaning of sunglasses by the pool to the beautiful gardens, the attention to detail in the whole experience is impressive. Special mention to the staff who are, without fail, courteous and accommodating. Missing it already. There are regular shows by local artists to enjoy, wonderful food to eat in the restaurant and cafe, beautiful views of the sea and easy access to the beach.

Perfection in every detail, this hotel is amazing. Staff and service is fantastic, rooms are impeccably maintained, amenities really nice and hotel grounds spacious, private and just beautiful. No sign of age in a bad way. This place is a gem.

Fantastic… can not rate this hotel enough! Friendly, helpful and caring staff who it seems can not help you enough. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms (Lani's) are so spacious. Everything and more that you need is there. Every communal area is immaculate and they really add those touches of luxury in all areas. We were bed and breakfast and I can say the quality of the food was consistently great with a large choice. Entertainment each night and a leaflet left nightly at turndown service to tell you what it will be. The pool area has everything you need, luxury towels, comfortable beds, a tray which contains face mist, sun cream, cold towels and an endless supply of cold bottled water. The hotel is well positioned in Seminyak and offers daily shuttle services (not that you need it you can walk to good restaurants and bars). I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bali… we loved it.

Fantastic hotel! Staying in February, we initially had some issues upon checking in. However, the staff and management could not have been more accommodating and willing in addressing and resolving these. It truly is an amazing place to stay — brilliant friendly staff, outstanding food and service, and the best location in Bali. Don't hesitate to go!

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. The only downside is out of season, as we've stayed here twice, when they aren't at full occupancy (only having 14 rooms filled and increasing to 32 at the end of the week) they don't hold the special dinners like the buffets on Saturdays or Thursdays, like they do in high season, which is a shame for the guests that stay as the room prices are similar.

Central location, amazing staff — so very friendly and helpful, rooms could do with modernising (but thats my personal choice). Views are awesome.

Puzzled by the 1-2 bad reviews here! Are you sure you stayed at the same resort? This resort is amazing! If you want pure relaxation with lots of space, peace and quiet topped off with excellent service, hospitality and food then come here! Definitely one of my all time top 3 hotels in the World. Only 74 rooms here so you hardly see any other guests about and it feels like you are in your own private resort… Amazing! I will be back.

It is still the best hotel in Seminyak. The service is impeccable. It is quiet and a wonderful place to relax. I've been about 5 times and never had bad service. It is in a great location with easy access to all the great restaurants and shops in Seminyak.

Dear John and all your wonderful staff at the Oberoi its taken a few days to adjust but just wanted to say how fabulous our stay with you was. Stunning food by Chef Enrico we got to sample much of his amazing fare. The staff where so friendly, efficient and just the right amount of help, I have to say in conclusion we will be back! and the fact that you have retained this wonderful old site filled with beautiful ponds, temples and the real culture of Bali made all the difference, Highly recommend and then some! Very old building. Only two categories. Tiny bungalows or villas that aren't much bigger, with garden, garden/pool. No buffet breakfast. Only one restaurant. Great location. Acceptable service. Nothing special.

Best service and food in Bali. The breakfast is incredible with ocean view. You are truly pampered and treated like royalty. Dinner at the oberoi is a must — a culinary experience!

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed in. We visited for a week in March 2016 and I cannot fault it in anyway. It has set my standards very high, every hotel I've stayed in since gets compared to The Oberoi! The villa with the pool, WOW! The pool was always heated, we had 100% privacy. The pool was huge for a private pool. The room was gorgeous, I've never had such an enormous bed! The breakfast was amazing, we normally have issues finding a good vegetarian breakfast but this place had us covered. Lunch and dinner are also very good. The staff were so lovely. Every single staff member was warm and welcoming. Really pleased to help you in anyway. Oh and the wake-up calls! They don't just give you a ring, they offer to wake you up with a tray of breakfast items, tea and coffee, etc. The spa is fantastic, my husband and I used it twice for a full body balinese massage and I have never felt so relaxed. We both fell asleep at one point! Location is also perfect as it's on a quiet, clean beach. Was almost like a private beach sometimes, hardly anyone around. My husband and I will definitely return to be spoilt once again!

Splendid, don't have enough words to talk about their great hospitality, eye for detail and generosity. We have travelled to many places around the globe and have probably stayed in all the known brands in the hotel industry but Oberoi takes the cake. Right from our arrival, pick up in chauffeur driven car to the welcome package in our room speaks volumes about their fantastic hospitality. The breakfast though a la carte was surprisingly one of the best I've ever had considering the wide array of choices on the menu and cooked to perfection to your taste. The personal touch and the politeness of the host, has you floored. The resort itself is so charming, peaceful and tranquil that we didn't feel like going anywhere else for sight seeing, not to forget the beach that opens right through the path from the pool. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious; we chose a partial sea view which is as good as the full sea view. Couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate our 27th anniversary. Highly highly recommended.

An exemplary welcome in a hotel full of charm. The decoration of the places is very beautiful and the atmosphere is very romantic. A dream stay that I would do again with pleasure. The service is very attentive. The restaurant is excellent with tasty food and a very romantic ambience. The room is nice and clean. The comfort is very satisfying. One of the best hotels I have stayed in.

Have been here so many times. This time with my family. If you think you have to choose between Luxury and Authentic Bali, try Oberoi @seminyak. You will find both at their best.

Unfortunately horrible experience here. Our first room smelled like rotting pond water so they moved us to a different villa on the other side of the resort. That room was nicer but had a broken AC that caused the room to be so humid that the ceiling was literally dripping wet; so much so that I almost slipped and fell on the stone tiles. It is an old hotel and it shows — they could use some major upgrades — not at all what you would expect for a $600/night place in Bali. That ordeal was enough so we packed our things and moved to a different resort the same night we arrived. To their credit, that staff was exceptionally courteous and accommodating, which is what earns this two stars.

Classy and elegant without being overdone.

Absolutely loved our experience at the Oberoi Bali from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Extremely hospitable and welcoming staff and the services/food/accomodations were wonderful! The bathrooms were really cool with an outdoor sealed off area! Would highly recommend staying here. Nice relaxing open area in a very congested and busy part of the island!
