I happened to visit the recently opened, The Orchid, Lonavala. The characteristics of the hotel are the same inspite of its various locations. Always welcoming, caring, comforting and full of warmth. Therefore, I call The Orchid my ‘Second — Home’’. My 3 days stay at the hotel from the 26th to 29th January was very refreshing and enjoyable. I enjoyed my holidays and departed with many fond memories. Heartfelt thanks, to all the Departmental Heads and their staff included.
My special thanks to Shoma Pal from the House-Keeping Dept. Fauzia and Akshay from the Boulevard Restaurant and each and every staff member from the various depts. Cleaningness of hotel rooms need to improve. During check in I found washroom floors are dirty and bad odour.

Never booking this hotel again. The front desk stare at you as though you they are surprised that you could afford The hotel. Very unpleasant look on their faces. Only welcoming were The security and valet and door men. Room given wasn't serviced properly. Very disappointed. Never judge people. I had just returned back from my Goa trip and fyi front desk team I stayed at the Vivanta by Taj. Expected Orchid being a 5 star would offer top class service. Big disappointment.

It's truly eco-friendly hotel. Good staff good interior good food and many more which I can't explain in a single messege.

Nice convenient locationnext to airport. Good infrastructure. But very poor service. It seems the staff lacks training and passion. They just do a job to manage. Many incidents during week long stay, won't like to mention here, but given a choice, won't like to stay here.

To me this hotel is a family friendly hotel, right from parking the car to house keeping all the staff make your stay very very comfortable & the best it's home away from home.

Very poor room service. For everything you will have to call operator and they can give you repeated assurances. Amazing how they can be so shameless.

Five stars to the quality of food (South Indian, Grills) … However desserts are a bit let down… Big rooms, could do with some upholstery renovation. All in all a pretty decent experience. Mix of vintage and young staff … And obviously marked difference in their attitude and service levels… Not negative, just one category more laid back (cannot discount experience and loyalty)

Last couple of times when I have made a booking under our corporate rate … the hotel does not honour the rate. I am told there are no rooms in my category and that I should upgrade to a Club room. Do they think we are fools … and do they not know that we understand the games they are planning. Hate hotels that take their guests for granted.

Went for the midnight buffet. All you can eat option for ₹650 per person. It starts at midnight i. E 12 am and often goes till 3-4 am. The varieties, both for veg and non veg are very good. Especially the desserts which are simply fantastic and you'd have to stop yourselves for third helping — not that you cannot eat it but you'd want to have space for everything else too. The ambience is very good (Boulevard restaurant). The service whatever required was on point too. Overall a good place to eat on a Saturday evening.

It's nearly 5 mins walk away from the Mumbai domestic airport. Place is really amazing to love. They don't allow outside food but after requesting and signing a letter, they allowed us. Place is amazing to live. Service is quite good. Rooms are very descent but the bath tub is bit small.

Location: Can be easily missed. Ambience: Simple and sophisticated. Service: Prompt and friendly. Conference room: Large and spacious. Food: Simple. Average but picture perfect.

An amazing place. They take pride in who they are and they do everything with respect and love. As soon as you enter, you can feel the warmth and you get a feeling of being with friends. The only complaint you may have is that you have to greet people a lot, beacause trust me, everyone is going to wish you a good day. Very pleasant experience.

Good place close to airport. The approach to hotel is not good. The place used to be one of the very good hotel 10-12 years back. Still good but location is not so visible any more. Earlier one can get to airport and walk in to this place conveniently. It is little lost.

The Orchid Hotel is located just near the domestic airport. So the people having break for a while at airport can stay over here and relax. The ambience, Rooms, Food everything is wonderful over here. You're able to do swimming and many more things over here. Room over here has the view of the runway of airport but still there is no issue of noise. The rooms are well cleaned and hygienic. You must visit this hotel once.

Location is fabulous, Street outside is usually crowded People's come from around the world in this hotel. is the one stop destination for your dinner and lunch with good staff. The quality of the food severed here is mind blowing. he waiters and all the workers were really kind. Just loved this place. Hope to come back soon.

5 star hotel with high standards of property and services. Superior interior of every corner of hotel. Located near Mumbai Domestic airport, Vile Parle. Very prominent location which is supposed to be better one of the place of Mumbai. Hotel ambience is awesome. Lighting of the hotel is very eye soothing. Food is very delicious. Hotel staff is disciplined and cooperative. Everything is matching the standards of 5 star category.

Good rooms. Buffet breakfast was par excellent… swimming pool on top floor and a bar on top floor is like cherry on the cake. Also I forgot my papers in room while checking out but they found it for me even after checking out. A big thumbs up for Orchid hotel housekeeping staff.

I went The orchid hotel to attend a office event and stayed for one nice. Rooms were clean and nice. Service was also good. As we have booked lot of rooms, so the executive that was giving the key was very slow. It took an hour to collect the key. Rest everything was fine.

Good hotel, well maintained. Some of the senior managerial staff at vindhya's restaurant are very irritating. They don't like guests talking to chefs. Very irritating. Room amenities are not as promised in online bookings. My booking showed room with a refrigerator but had none. My booking was with breakfast, they changed me, I showed booking email but to no avail. Had to argue at reception for 5 minutes to settle it. Saving grace is breakfast was good.

Nice Hotel, But sleeping bed little hard. Excellent service by Housekeeping team. They are very helpful and cleaned properly during my stay. I forgot to took my documents from the hotel, after checkout only realised (After 1 day), called the hotel and share the details. Thank God, they keep my documents properly. I thanked the housekeeping team for the wonderful service.

Firstly, this isn't a 5 Star hotel. While the room I had was spacious and comfortable, the service left a lot to be desired. American in style, it lacked dedication to its customers; the service fell way below what is expected. Tip: Avoid the rooftop restaurant, except to view planes from the nearby airport. Bar staff there should know the difference between a Gin and Tonic and a glass of water — the water does NOT go in the Gin and Tonic. The stupid waiter spoiled an otherwise fine drink.

Have been here quite a few times in the last decade, there's not much of a change to this place. Being one of the 1st Eco-Friendly hotels in India, Orchid certainly lives up to it's name. The overall decor and facade is really good and the fountain in the Foyer is a must watch. You can stare at it for hours together. The concierge and front desk staff are very warm and friendly and cater to your every need with a warm smile and great eagerness to help! However, the hotel needs a refreshed look after all these years.

Multiple reasons.
Don’t book your room looking at 5 star rating. This hotel is not 5 star.
Beds are like Motel 6. They advertise premium beds.
Towels are same way — Motel standard.
House keeper service woke me up two times while I was sleeping after15 hour journey.
important is, I did not made any of these two calls.
One time was “”IS YOUR COFFE MACHINE NIT WORKING COREECT? “”
Second time was. “”ITS YOUR PHONE NOT WORKING CORRECT? ””
Two different people at two different time.
Both the time I informed manager.
one more thing. Bring international adopter if you are from out of india. Hotel will not provide one. And in room they don’t have outlet.
OHhh also no USB pod either.
And you do not have transfer from airport to hotel of your not arriving at domestic airport.
They told me over phone airport pick up drop off is courtesy. (. I was coming from USA, person knew who answers the phone) but did not say that international transportation I will not get.
I arranged taxi on my own after waiting and few phone calls. Until I learned it was not included.
I would have done in first place if I was not misinformed.

Awesome Buffet at a very affordable rate with great service! Been here once and would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Nice ambience, Great service delivered. Friendly staff and the Food is just amazing. We had buffet which is very affordable and the items provided compared to the rate charged is unimaginable. Really enjoyed the food and lots of varieties for dessert too which is again just great. Would definitely visit again when in Mumbai. Highly recommended!

One of the best five star hotels in the vicinity and famous by its owner's name for the localities. Located near the airport and is easily accessible. Nearby places are worth seeing. Hotel stands out from the other hotels present over there. Food available is of excellent quality, taste and hygiene is maintained.

No doubt Good room service 24*7 but they don’t allow outside food (even a small pizza) and their food is not that good. In my opinion it’s like a 3 star hotel, very small open area and small roof top swimming pool and very small lobby. Needs improvement in food quality. Checked in 25/12/17 for five rooms and for five nights and check out now (30/12/17). I will never recommend it as a five star hotel.

Awesome place and awesome people! I held my engagement ceremony at Upper deck and it was the best decision! The team was fantastic especially Amit. The food was yum and the venue was. My guests were so impressed!

As a 5-star hotel, it's disappointing.
The rooms are musty and could be cleaner and more modern.
The staff is slow and also a little unkind.
Breakfast is adequate, but could be more international.

I checked in a room at 6th floor. It was the one under the music pub. It’s too noisy. Changed a room to lower level of the the building then a bit better but bass sound came to a new room as well. I cannot believe this is the five star hotel.

We went for an engagement party at their Upper Deck. The place was nicely lit, offered great views of the airport and the food was perfect. The reception by the staff right from the main entrance till the upper deck was hospitable. The parking seems to be bit of an issue, which is less compared to their stature. It's proximity to the airport offers great stay options for people flying in and out of Mumbai. The pool looked great, but we were obviously not dressed for it.

We had gone for a marriage reception in the hotel. The people at the entrance were so pleasant to deal with and showed us the way. The reception was on the top most floor with open to sky ambience. The place was decorated moderately, although it could have been alot better. The food was good and had good music system with decent lighting as well. All in all a good experience.

Only eco tel to take care of carbon prints. They have nice decor and good food. Good room service. Easily accessible from both airports as well as from three stations. Also be getting connected through metro which is going to pass under the airport.

Didn't find it so great. Washrooms are very small, considering there is a conference hall, they should hv had washrooms of decent size, also position of the doors of the washroom is wierd. Regarding lunch & snacks, jain food was made available but very limited choice.

Walking distance from Terminal 1 @ Bombay, but, they do have a pick up and drop service, free of cost if you have a booking with them. Nicely appointed rooms, great food and awesome service. The staff of his this hotel does not have any regard for their patrons' privacy. One of the staff members walked into my room while my fiancée was sleeping and I was out. Sure, mistakes happen but what shocked her was the person is question didn't immediately apologize and leave but kept standing there when she finally realized his presence and yelled out. All that management could offer was a flimsy apology and a meager discount for totally ruining our stay. I'm a frequent traveler and have stayed in several good hotels, and I make sure that the housekeeping staff is tipped nicely. Some shortcomings can be tolerated but this was abhorrent behavior.

We celebrated our marriage anniversary with friends and family. It was awesome experience and everyone loved the hospitality and lovely buffet dinner at Boulevard. Selection of buffet menu is appreciable.
I have tried buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner here in Boulevard which is highly recommended for food lover people. It was a pleasant stay as well in this five star properties. Planing for a midnight buffet soon and will post my views on that too. Thanks Team Orchid.

Stay was good. Not very happy with the seafood buffet dinner at Vindhyas. Probably being a South Indian could make out the difference in taste. Rest facilities are good. The Boulevard buffet had much money re choices though.

We stay at this hotel everytime we come to India. Wesley always treat us like family. :) The rates are good. And, the hotel staff is VERY friendly. We have no complaints about our stay here. :)

It's a 5 star hotel but doesn't feel like one. They need some renovation at the earliest. Have lots of good hotel to stay near the airport and that too at a cheaper cost.

I went to The Orchid for a breakfast meeting. The spread was fabulous and the food was really really good. Their service is excellent and their staff are pleasant. I have also attended some conferences with them. It is one of the more reasonable hotels in the city. It is also an eco friendly hotel.

Nice hotel with proximity to airport being a big plus. Check out Nehru road in case you want to have something local to eat. The staff is nice and the rooms are well maintained.

Views from few Run way / Airport terminal facing rooms like Room No 630 Club Room are phenomenal. Much better views from the top terrace grill bar and restaurant which has live music and amazing food with drink options. Further it's next to the pool with airport views all across making it charming. It's costly though both food and stay in Orchid Ecotel. Breakfast is equally great. Hospitality was warm including staff not leaving anything to care about you. More greenery would absolutely make it 5.

Decent hotel with decent room size. However maintenance of the room furniture should have been looked after. The breakfast spread in the restaurant is very good and some of the dishes are awesome. One must definitely try the South Indian restaurant for breakfast. Have been puzzled on why the rooms have not been numbered serially esp with many in between nos missing.

Went for dinner at The Boulevard at Orchid. The buffet had a huge variety of options, ranging from street food to traditional Indian cuisine. Also the staff is very courteous and the ambience is great for a relaxed dinner/lunch.

If you are new to Mumbai and want to try Mumbai street food then it's a great place. Have a good buffet spread. Staff is polite and helpful with any needs for special occasions.

My rating is helped by Ms. Juliet serving my table at the coffee shop during my breakfast. I wanted to have a table near a charging point and Juliet helped me to such a table. But the charging port was below the table in an uncomfortable corner. And she actually bent down and crouched below the table to plug in my ipad charger. That's a five star service. The hotel itself is average… down market approach road… confusing sign boards… and entrance lift lobby leading to rooms was tucked away in a secret corner as if entering an unmarked secret location. But the room itself was decent. The bathroom was from 20th century style. The toiletories were average. The towels were fresh and I liked them. The TV is a small screen Sony LCD from 20th century. The dhall and rice I had for dinner was average… but the sleep was good thanks to excellent bed. The AC and light controls beside the bed was quite functional. Overall 3 stars for the hotel and 5 stars for Ms. Juliet that gives 4 stars for the property as a whole.

Close to domestic airport, you can walk down. Food is expensive. Offers various cuisines of the world. Limited options of Indian food. One will get Rooms are spacious but old carpets slightly stink.

Frankly speaking. This is worst hotel I have ever stayed in because — Throughout the hotel there is unpleasing smell. — Maintenance is really lacking. — The rates are low because the hotel hasnt maintained itself.

I stayed in the hotel for a weekend offer (2 club rooms) with my entire family. The rooms were average compared to other five star hotels. Staff were polite to me and my wife, and also wished us greetings when ever we cross them but did not acknowledge my parent since they don't look polished as me or my wife. When ever my parents came to restaurant or lobby, the staff simply looked at them like some servants who tagged along with us. My parents dress simple without much fuss as they prefer it. Since they were uncomfortable in the hotel we spent most of the time outside or inside the room. During check out, when my two sons were playing in the lobby running around some fountain which was way high for them to dip their hands in water. They were warned harshly by bell boy and housekeeping staff to not to get near that stupid fountain so that the water won't be spilled on the floor which made my younger one to tears and made me pretty much annoyed as I was sitting right there on sofa and keeping an eye on them so that they are safe. The Staff did not even have the decency to inform me first that this hotel does not like children playing in the lobby area before scolding by kids. If I had known all these earlier I would definitely not have booked here and got my money wasted. Only good was the restaurant south of vidhyas had good breakfast which we enjoyed.

Stayed 3 nights at hotel for a near-by conference in Mumbai, along with 3 other colleagues (so 4 rooms). Claims to be 5-star, but very far from it, more likely a 3-star for India. Number one issue for my extreme dissatisfaction staying at the Orchid was the absolute horrid, yet extremely expensive paid Wi-Fi… Rs900 per day! Not only was it slow, it actually almost never worked with constant downtime. Multiple calls complaining to hotel IT tech team, but nothing ever could be resolved. During check-out, brought up the issue to completely remove all internet charges from my hotel bill because I paid for the service which was completely unreliable, and they only provided a Rs500 discount. I told them I would never stay at this hotel again, nor anyone from my company. Rooms very outdated and very uncomfortable bed. On the positive note, restaurants were good and excellent wait staff. Would not recommend this to any business traveler needing to stay connected with Wi-Fi devices.

Great experience. One of the finest properties in the suburbs. Superbly maintained and great service. Food menu leaves you asking for more but nevertheless, worth staying.

There are certain bare minimum expectations in service when we go to a good hotel. Orchid rooms might be good but does not full fill other points. As we entered two foreigners were fighting over dispute. My guest had to fight for Wi-Fi and half day charges as he will checkout early. Front desk person informed that breakfast included actually was not. But the lady at breakfast did not warn us when I told her my room number. All in all me and my German guest decided not to stay again in this hotel.
