Reviews of Morjim Bay Beach Resort 3*
I stayed at Morjim Beach Resort in January 2017 and January 2018 and had a great time so booked for January 2019 and paid a deposit of 54, 000 rupees in advance in October 2018 for our four week stay. On our arrival we found out that the hotel was under new management and all of the old staff had been sacked, someone was in our room that we had booked and we were told that we couldn't have that room until the next day. The place was always spotless as paths and floors in places like the restaurant were washed down daily, we now found that everywhere was dirty and around the pool there was staining from bird droppings, no washing down had been done for quite a while. Nobody spoke English in the restaurant and most of the items on the menu were unavailable. What they could cook proved barely edible. Tablecloths were dirty and service poor. The once immaculate gardens had plants that were dying and weeds and rubbish amongst the beds. I could go on but to sum it up the place had gone downhill and was not somewhere we wanted to stay. After two nights we left and moved to another hotel as this was not the place that we booked! I subsequently spoke with the managing partner Mr Randhir Thakur who apologised and stated that he was going to refund my deposit straight away. Mr Thakur has proved not to be a man of his word and no refund has been forthcoming. He ignores emails and texts, one would expect better of someone who says they are a Banking professional.
Terrible… The Worst Management… not Recommended to anyone.
