Excellent resort right on the beach… good food… good room n lots of greenery around. What else you need for a perfect vacation…

The restaurant by the sea is the best thing. The service is 5 star n they always serve with a smile. The property itself is very beautiful and we'll maintained. This is my second visit, a must stay resort.

Nice property, lots of greenery, direct access to the beach. Basic rooms but self sufficient and clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast with sea view is fun and soothing.

Good location & well maintained property.

Let's start with the good point (he only) — landscaped a large area, relatively clean… relatively! Cons: 1. — pour this landscaped area with water from the sewage, as evidenced by a distinct smell, all the well-known, while it is not possible to be on the street, the terrace and even a closed door in the room does not help. Also in the room You will have a night to eat, what to eat, mosquitoes. The administration never knows what the other hotels in GOA, no stars not deserved, in the order of things in the room to have a working moskitol. But we still didn't know what the "fun" lies ahead (be sure to read to the end) ; 2. There was no hot water. Because we were first time in GOA, we thought it was in the order of things (the water is heated in barrels and the night is cold), the wife screaming in the shower, but I patiently accepted it as the norm and did not take measures. Actually it was not 2 days not established reason, then she just went, what we were naturally immensely happy about this fact. 3. — plumbing tech and by night it was clearly audible and always wet in the bathroom, if it can be called so. There is attached a bucket, which we used to collect the drops, thus avoiding damp, but the noise is not saved; 4. The safe at check in did not work that we paid attention at once by calling at the reception.

Beach front restaurant. Rooms are decent not very spacious. Good for evening walk in beach and for those who like partying in groups it will be like private party for about 10-15 people. They will arrange DJs. Not very expensive too. Can spend evening in beach and come back and have food or drinks. Swimming pool is not very big but clean and poolside bar facility is available.

Very well maintained. Good staff. Good food. Sea view is beautiful. Only problem is that they do not have lift, so people who cannot climb should take higher floors.

This is a family run institution located on the beach itself but if you wish to have independent holiday it's not the right place. You are not allowed to bring food from outside and the price of room service is double of what it shall be so it will be a torture. No friends can visit you at any time, which is one more strange policy. Rooms are very compact and depressive, and u don't have any management to complaint, at some times u will realize that staying is your wish or u can leave they don't care.

Very nice place by the beach with beach access from the restaurant. Right in between Calangute and Baga beaches, so it's kind of like a private beach. Good service, nice big rooms, good food and breakfast and very reasonable rates. A must stay place for us (and a lot of other people because they are always booked solid). One thing to consider is that mobile network availability is an issue, with very low to nil range. Wifi makes things a little better but its still pretty slow.

We stayed here with our office colleagues. They organised the trip very well and left with us a memorable experience. They managed the stay and party in very professional way. Rooms are spacious and beach side restaurant is just awesome. DJ was also super which they arranged for us in short notice. Highly recommended for group visits.

Food, net, cleaning rooms at the 3 —, furniture vintage 60s, frames are also, beds in the butt, a 3* in Pattaya as a 5* here. Excellent location, very very near to the beach and well maintained extremely beautiful property. Nice big rooms, luxurious rooms and small cottages also. Bathrooms are big and spacious and cleaned. Room service is very good. Friendly and understanding staff members. Having their own bar and restaurant exactly located in front of the beach. Swimming pool and surrounding Greenery is an added advantage. Parking facilities are available. Wifi is available and working fine. Only Idea and Jio network supports inside the rooms, outside all network supports. Great place to stay with your partner, your friends. Must visit with the family and relatives. Overall nice experiences and some of the great memories of life.

Awesome resort! You will forget everything once you reach this resort. Right on Calangute beach, you can eat, drink looking at the sea! Big resort with quite well maintained gardens. Clean rooms, clean swimming pool and clean resort. A relaxing time indeed.

Good place to stay in Calangute. Bang on the beach, that's what you want from your resort when in Goa. Sitting out in the evening facing the sea with a cup of coffee in hand enjoying the waves, I swear one of the best moments of your life will be here. Stay here you will love it.

Excellent property. Very comfortable and quiet place. Restaurant overlooks the beach. Very clean and secure property. Ideal for single tourists and families too. Very helpful staff.

Very happy with our stay at the location. The staff was very courteous and attentive and very helpful. The rooms are clean and quite big. The restaurant and it's staff are quite good. We ate here almost all of our dinners cause we were being lazy and I'm very happy with the food. The mutton curry was amaziiiiiiiing. Some of the best I've had. The restaurant is right by the beach and you can get some good sunset views if you come during the right season. The crowd is more family friendly so being just two female travellers this place felt safe. There lots of security cameras all over the place too :) I think it is a family run business. When questioned about taxi rate to mapusa we were told it would cost us 900. The owner on hearing this called another service agent and found the going rate should be 400 and had offered to call that service if we can't get one at the fair price. I'm leaving the resort feeling quite happy with the service and stay.

Excellent hotel. Good property and kept extremely clean. Front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast area is spacious and one of the best in GOA. Breakfast includes Fresh fruit in addition to all the other hot and cold items. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. The Hotel is overlooking the beach. Its just a minute walk from the Hotel Inhouse Restaurant. Children's park is very good. Very nice Place.! Very good Security for Women and children!. We had a lovely stay and cannot wait to return to experience.

Fantastic beach side resort at Goa. Delicious food especially the Sea food. Enjoyed yummy lobster n King fish. The main attraction is the sea facing multi cuisine restaurant with bar. Over all its a wonderful place for family n friends.

Excellent relation quality-price. Very clean, well maintained and with very friendly staff. Very good location. Something old but I would return without hesitation.

Reasonably priced centrally located. Away from maddening Calangute crowd. Breakfast menu gets monotonous and visitors certainly need more than the half litre complimentary water provided.

It has swimming pool, beach facing restaurant, pool, bar and cafe, free Wi-Fi, money exchange, Landry service and doctor on call. Chalston Beach Resort was started in 1986. Hotel has five room categories including standard couple rooms, larger standard rooms, superior rooms and garden cottages as well as cottages situated in the beach garden. The hotel is surrounded by extensive and lush gardens that reach out towards Calangute beach. Restaurant which is beachfront has a multi-cuisine menu including fresh sea food.

For a quiet, quiet rest. Sunset in the sea is smooth, the bottom is sand. The pool is shallow. The area is green, away from the noisy streets. There's security. Breakfast is Continental. Restaurant with a beautiful view of the sea and the sunset.

Small room. But close to the beach and there is a small pool in the yard.

One of my most cherished places of stay in Goa. The best part of this resort is the awesome location with a serene ambience, wherein you can just walk to the beach comfortably as it is bang on the beach. The food is reasonably priced and the taste is just wow! The service is very good and the staff are very nice. We have been visiting this place every year since 2010 and I look forward to vacation in Goa with this lovely place in mind.

A good hotel which occupies the first coastline. Pleasant staff. The disadvantages are low speed and unstable Wi-Fi signal in some rooms, poor cold pressure water and shower rooms are Italian style with a very conditional division into the area shower and toilet.

Beautiful resort, right at the beach. Very helpful staff, well maintained, and a lot of greenery around the cottages. They have a direct access to the beach. The restaurant is right on the beach. The breakfast is just average, and is an area they should improve on. Very well located so that water sports and other famous spots in goa like Tito's lane are in close proximity.

The food is just amazing. The staff is excellent.

Little old construction however it's a beach property. The other end of the property has a door which opens to beach. Between Calangute and bagha. The entrance is not on the main road and you need to walk a bit to reach at this place. Avoid taking scooter from the people outside the resort, prefer guys on the main road, you will get a better deal same applies for car rentals. The property has a small pool and is safe for kids too. One of the economical properties which are beach facing. Book in advance and you can expect some discounts too.

I am quite impressed with the hospitality of the staff. The beach view from the resort and calm and serene atmosphere at the rooms makes it the best place to be at in Goa. Its quite close to some of the most happening places in Goa. Yet it is so calm! Thanks to them for the lovely time I had with my cousins.

Very good place to stay. A beach side resort! What else can you ask for. The rooms are spacious and the property is quite big. You have a nice swimming pool and you can walk to the beach. Decent food is served in the restaurant.

It has s 2 bedroom suits with a small balcony. Location wise its perfect. Room service are not up to the mark.

Best place to relax in peace and tranquility facing the beach. Seafood is awesome. Desserts must have: Apple Crumble, Tosca cake.

Love staying at Chalston Resort on every visit… Rooms are cozy, food is fantastic. I can't see myself staying anywhere else…

We recently stayed at this hotel for 11 nights we would’ve loved to stay longer. Beautiful surroundings and lovely rooms, very accommodating so much so they put a bed in our room for our daughter to join us at the last minute, to celebrate her graduation. She enjoyed it so much, she extended her stay from 7 nights to 11 nights… It’s a family run hotel, very friendly people they went out of their way to speak to us, also the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The restaurant is affordable and clean. We enjoyed some good local entertainment on nights, as well as enjoying our own intimate celebrations, one being my husband’s Birthday (thanks for the free dessert). Excellent location on the beach, very private and picturesque. We were looked after with anything we wanted with a smile from Munto… All in all an excellent holiday and an excellent resort, my thanks to Chalston Beach and staff for everything. See you again soon!

Good place to stay, with a friendly staff. Amazing location with one side of resort opening towards the beach. Good place for a vacation.

Very good place. Slightly expensive. Great gardens and internal decor. Rooms good. Not recommended for senior citizens of you have booked standard room. Place does not have a lift. Restaurant is good.

Rooms are neat. Staff courteous. Pool is very good even for kids… poolside bar is good. Food taste needs to be improved…

Initially I was not impressed by the cottage allotted to us as it was right next to a huge banyan tree that looked quite creepy and the room was not getting locked. However, the staff promptly gave us another room close to the beach. The property is huge and that's why a room far away from the beach can give you a hard time as you will have to walk a long way. The maintenance Chalston lags behind a lot of other resorts, the reason why it may be a mere two star resort. The breakfast spread is very limited and if you are used to better buffets, like me, you may find it below satisfactory. The USP is of course the location and the owners' family is solicitous as they live right next to the resort and manage the property. If someone has not spent time in the beautiful resorts of South Goa the person may find Chalston satisfactory but if they have been to better resorts they will understand what I am talking about. I hope they invest some money in the upkeep of the resort and upgrade their menu. The buffet was a complete disappointment.

Not really a great place. At an off season price of 6000 a night I had different set of expectations. Room quality was average. The AC, Wi-Fi, room phone, TV all was not working turn by turn. They tried their best to fix it asap, but still as I said, at that price I expected different level of service and comfort. Restaurant food was good though. I checked out after a day and shifted to a superb South Goa resort, that even had a private beach, at a lesser price. They really need to give a thought to their pricing.

I have had best experience in this hotel. The area of this hotel is big and it's between Calangute and Baga beach so both the both famous beaches are nearby. Hotel rooms are spacious. Staff is friendly. Food quality is good taste is amazing. Good for family as well. I would love to go there again and again.

Book it for your off season peaceful stay, and you won't regret it. Decent rooms. The place is next to the beach. Also has a nice restaurant.

One of the best resort in Calangute Goa… Right in front of the beach. 2km from Bhaga Beach… Reasonable price, when I compare to other resorts. Neat and clean rooms… Well maintained Garden… Staffs are very polite and happy to guide you… Nice and clean swimming pool… Breakfast will be complimentary… Too many verities and Good quality of food… Especially for outside visitors (foreigners) … Alcohol will be served… Those have dream to ride "Harley Davidson" you can ride… Because resort have 2 bikes and which can be rented… if you like my review please thumbs up.

Amazing resort and highly recommend if you would like to relax and enjoy a nice and clean place. Their restaurant is a perfect shack with a good menu and the beach to just look at and relax. The rooms are super clean and the beds are well made.

My experience at this resort was AMAZING! The rooms are nice and comfortable. The staff is very helpful. There is a swimming pool which is open till 6:30pm. The restaurant of the resort is located at a very good place from where you can see the beach. The food at the restaurant is very delicious. Most of the clubs are just walking distance from the resort.

In General, a good hotel. Your beach, which are driven by local. Breakfast did not like, tasteless, monotonous. The room we had was small.

From last 7 years its my, not only mine bt my family home in Goa. Uncle, (owner of the hotel) its coz of u it is always a home. Umesh, my bro from restaurant is always a family. And one, at reception, cant remember his name. Thank you All. Coz of u Goa is alaways SPLENDID.

The prices are as you bargain, or group had friends who booked separately and got lesser prices. The rooms are okay, spacious and neat. Beds are not very comfortable. The rooms have no soap, shower gels or other toiletries. The reception staff did not help in that. The reception staff were reluctant to give me a printed bill. However they helped us get local transport and cabs. Location is good, beach access is good, restaurant is medium good with fresh catch menu. Check prices in nearby resorts before confirming. You may find cheaper deals.

Great resort with great food and clean pool. The best part is the service, prompt and satisfying. Bit pricey though, compared to others, but worth every dime u pay.

A family run hotel which seeps into everything about it. You can tell it's a labour of love. The owners are about and happy to chat and accommodate where possible. The food is great, the location is incredible and the staff are wonderful.

The property is really spacious and provides exclusive access to the beach. The lawns are well maintained. The pool is very well maintained and really clean. The beach facing restaurant is nice with some good a la carte food. The breakfast was very basic with only egg and one Indian dish which became very boring after the second day. Linen was not changed inspite of asking the room service to do so. Soap was provided only on the first day during our four night stay. I will strongly recommend to everyone going to Chalseton during the Xmas season not to attend their Xmas ball as it costs Rs 1800 per person and is very badly organised with very cheap food. The starters are non existent. The music was very bad and we actually had someone singing Michael Jackson's Beat It for a Xmas ball. The biggest advantage for Chalseton is their location. Inspite of being a premium hotel there is no attempt to provide Wi-Fi access anywhere else other than the reception area.

Excellent Resort, Very Tasty and Cheap Food, Good Staff and Management, location is very good. On beach itself and I will strongly recommend to visit this fantastic resort. Tariff is also lower when compared with other in same vicinity. Hats off for well maintained garden and pool we visited on 19 and 20 January 2015.

We first visited Chalston Beach Resort in 2007 — and now, whenever we think of heading to Goa, we always stay here. The location is superb — it's right on the beach and easily accesible from the Calangute-Baga Road. The rooms are tastefully done, and hygeinic. The food is yummy — while the menu is not very exhaustive — everything on the menu is good. Do try the desserts — they are great. If you do meet the owners — Chalston and Maria — you'd learn so much more about Goa. Lovely gardens, a well-maintained pool and polite staff. A great place to stay, always.

I and my family stayed here for 3days and I have just one word to say: awesome. The hotel is the best you can find on Calangute beach. The hotel owns the beach part facing it so the beach here isnt very crowded. Also the restaurant is beach facing so you can just spend your afternoon with a beer. The staff is kind and attend to your every need. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. Definitely coming here again.
